i'll give a link before I say anything
www.sega.com/home.php
check the news section and the first thing it says is Alien franchise coming to sega's next gen gaming systems
thats right sega's next gen gaming systems
is this a typo? this is just blowing my mind, right now i'm just trying not to get too excited but who can't?
and it says systems which meens more than one. but seeing that it makes me wonder: why make 2 systems if anything it would be just one

Obviously this means that SEGA are going to return to the market with a 265-bit system and dominate the market by destroying the evil Nintendo and Sony.

heh, when I first read it, I was like "What...where's the typo? Where's the typo? All the words are spelt the same..."
then I actually READ the words, and loled.

Meh, it'll only be for Japan if anything.
This is just a wild guess, but I'm sure that less than half of all the avid gamers actually care about SEGA anymore =P

It's definitely, definitely a miswording. Sega was DYING in the console market, and it's now doing quite well. Why would they change that now?

Try less than a quarter.
Nay, less than an eighth.

One could go so far as to say less than one-sixteenth of gamers give a flying f**k about SEGA or anything they do by this point.

maybe it would be better for sega not to make a new console, i think if one actually comes out it's just the beginning of the death for sega. i'd give it 2 yrs 'till sega pulls it off the market and decides it was a bad idea, but just think of how cool it would look.

It sounds like a miswording, I doubt Sega would announce a new Console they had made by drawing everyone's attention to "Alien".
I'm guessing that they're talking about the Next Gen consoles like the PS3, Wii and X360.
Either that or they really ARE trying to make more than one new console...with ALL THEIR MONEY (or lack of).
Are SEGA going to try and make a next-next gen console!? I'm sure a larger company like Sony would probably buy them out with the click if they tried something like that...
But that's just me guessing...

Shouldn't this be in Gaming Academy? We need chit chat in there.

Also, Sega has the Alien license. Is this a good thing? Was Condemned any good then?

True, this has nothing to do with Sonic directly...oh well.

I think Sega will do a good job with the Alien licence, a lof of people I know said Condemned was a pretty decent game.
I wouldn't say the game will be groundbreaking, but I can imagine Sega putting a little more effort into this franchise than a certiain OTHER franchise starring blue hedgehogs...

Well that franchise is the reason why Sega now has the Alien license.
1) Half-Assed, rushed Sonic game
2) Cash in.
3) ?????
4) Random movie license
5) PROFIT!

They could release the "Game Gear Lite" and it would out-sell the PS3...

Alien license?

Btw, anyone ever play Alien Syndrome? I keep seeing action RPG when described, which is usually something I have great interest in and so I lament that I never played it.

They don't mean their new arcade machines?

O.o Who knows.
However, lets wait until the Downgraded E3-to see Sega say something along the lines of "HAHA we were playing for the last 12 years!"

Though it'll never happen, its funny-at least to me
