In truth, I actually have more high hopes for this game (one reason since I pretty much trust Nintendo for like the 98% games they make), then the friggin' Shadow game.

The only way I can see this as being worse than ShtH is if Sega suddenly changes shadow at the last minute to a creepy little gnome who looks like a child molestor and floats around on a balloon.
I don't think Sega's interested in making Brian Peppers: The Game, though.
Anyway, I'm rather indifferent. I don't mind Tingle that much, as out-of-touch with society as he is. As for how good this is... it remains to be seen, really.

I could understand Tingle in his own game, but it's an RPG? how the heck is that supposed to work?
Seeing as how most seem to be upset by this I'm gonna come right out and say "Meh".
Seriously, why care? I don't much care for Tingle, I don't hate him either, just another character to me, one who's just a comic relief in some ways (well, design and concept only I suppose). This isn't like Shadow the Hedgehog where some great story eliment is going to be explored, nor will this forever affect the Zelda mythos, it's just a character related spin-off. With that in mind, either play the game to see if it's any good, or just ignore it as it'll most likely have no real significance in terms of continuity.
I'm just gonna ignore it, personally I'm looking forward to Super Princess Peach :P.
