I was never fond of the original movie and thusly haven't bothered with the sequels, I'd much rather this method than leaving it up to Hollywood.

I think that meant "Blu-Ray and DVD." like all of Sony's films.

Although also, "implied."
Anyways, if it doesn't come to DVD, I'm going to pirate it so hard.
They stand to lose financially if it's Blu-Ray exclusive, and the format has nowhere near the saturation for them to ignore DVD for a good while yet.
