Well, for me, I'm sort of disappointed. I did enjoy the Mario sports games they put out, but I loved the hell out of Golden Sun. Sure, Nintendo could buy the rights to the series, but...I don't know. I do know this: for those who were hoping to see Isaac and crew to be featured in Brawl, you can kiss that dream goodbye.
Well that sucks. Never again shall Wario say "Camelot! Hahaha!" at the beginning of a brand new Mario sports game. Ah well, can always hear it on the tennis game.
Hmm...

Reader Graham sends in an email stating that the source from which Gamefront received the news makes the story sound a little different. Camelot wont be making any games with Nintendo for quite some time due to I Love Golf, but they arent ruling anything out for the future.
I really don't think that Camelot would ditch Nintendo forever like they did with Sega or Sony. They seemed to made a lot of moolah out of the Mario Sports series and didn't the first Golden Sun at least sell decently?
I think this is just a case of them branching out.
Also, I think Nintendo owns the copyrights to the Golden Sun franchise.

Evidently there is some confusion -- even among Japanese reports -- about the specifics of this news. Some Japanese outlets are reporting that Camelot will no longer support Nintendo platforms and others are reporting that the announcement only relates to this single game and that Camelot will still be making future Nintendo products.
Oh good god I hope Camelot stays with Nintendo. The Golden Sun games were brilliant.
