Thought I'd get some MoFo input to supplement my Google searches. Trying to find some coop games I can play with the wife aside from all the MMO ups and downs. Any good games are accepted, but we both really love shooters, and live eat breath PC, so.
I've heard good things about a couple titles, but I'd like to see what people think here.
F.E.A.R has a coop mode IIRC.
I know there's another really good shooter recently with a coop mode, but I don't remember what it was. Hm.
Mercs 2's coming out soon, if you have a 360 or PS3.
Halo 2 had a Coop mode... I thought it was fun...
Kirby Super Star also had an awesome Coop... Might have to wait for the VC title though.
THANK YOU PSX <3
You can always stick with the classics... DOOM and Quake FTW.
Heck, DOOM even has SLIGE, a somewhat competent random level generator that, while the levels can feel somewhat samey at times, gives you a seemingly infinite amount of levels and enemies to plow through, which can be made longer, shorter, brighter, harder, easier, single-map or a full 32 map mega-WAD, and what have you via a few simple command-prompt commands. It's gooood stuff.
Gears of War was designed with coop in mind.
F***KING BATS
The last good Co-op game I remember playing was Secret of Mana on SNES. Good God, that was a long time ago.
"I DONT WANNA BE THE MIDGET, YOU BE THE MIDGET I WANT TO PLAY THE GUY."
"GOD DAMN IT, HEAL ME @#%$ THIS @#%$ IS KILLING ME-- GOD DAMN IT I'M DEAD."
"COME BACK BASTARD, I'M STUCK BEHIND THE ROCK I CAN'T MOVE."
Good times. Oh wait, I played Kirby too.
Since you want PC games...
Serious Sam kthnxbai. And NOT Serious Sam 2, but Serious Sam, First and Second Enounter.
Any of the Rainbow 6 games make for really good co-op. Stealth around, take out the enemies. Dad and his friend used to play fathers versus sons alot using Roger Wilco to voice chat.
They always won
