Official site (obviously not much there right now).
- It will feature Various Final Fantasy Characters
- It is a fighting action game.
- The setting is about two gods, who summoned heroes from the dark and light. The gods are "Chaos" and "Cosmos"
- A Final Fantasy 1, and a Final Fantasy 9 character/creature was confirmed to be in this.
- Nomura is a part of this project, and is also the character design.
I don't recognize the Light Warriors, but I do see what looks like Garland. And obviously Zidane and Kuja in one shot. Rumours suggest Garnet and Freya from FF9 are in as well. Now, if we only had an idea on how it plays.
Other FF news includes a DS remake of FFIV and an international version of FFXII that incorporates the Job system in some way (I still haven't played 12 so I don't see the significance).
The Light Warrior kind of reminds me of Ferion from FF2. And an international version of 12? Will it include like...harder bosses? Perhaps an easier way to get Mr. Behemoth King to show up?

What are the bets on FFVII having the largest in game presence? Here's hoping for FFVIs Shadow or Setzer.
Any Square title which acknowledges that FF9 happens is my favourite. 9 is my favourite to date and it makes me sad how the company and fans try to pretend it never happened.

Quoted for truth for I agree in everyway. That said, like I fangirled over in the KH2 boards years back: Put in Vivi and I won't have to swim over to Japan and knock some heads over at the Square-Enix board.
That said, major awesomeness on Zidane, I love that monkey boy, and tis interesting to see him in Nomura's style. I am very shocked he didn't make any extra belts or spiky hair on that guy--course, I ain't complaining one bit. Only problem is that it's on PSP--a game handheld I have absolutely no plan on buying.

Looking at the scans of the FF4 remake (Don't screw this up), Cecil looks like a woman with that armor. I think I'll stick with the SNES version...
A Final Fantasy fighting game has been one of wants since Ehrgeiz (I know it's not a great game, but I enjoyed it a lot). However, if this game doesn't have Yang, Sabin, Tifa, Zell and Black Belt I will be rather disappointed.
And as for FF4DS...it kind'a feels a bit redundant since the GBA port was released recently...though I would love FF6 to get this treatment.
Also, if they have to make a plushie of that version of Cecil!
Zidane sounds fairly young. And, of course, there's the requisite Seph. But at least we get a little look at the fighting system.
Oh God why do they let Nomura anywhere near the drawing table?
It was almost sexy.
But a lot of it looked too Kingdom Hearts-ish for it's own good.
I'd like to say it's sexy, but I've already gorged too many Square-Enix trailers and whatnot over the years that it no longer impresses me. Then again, it might help that I'm rather cynical to the entire company--including this game.
And yeah, Zidane does sound too young, though it does approriately fit his youthful nature.
