And Nintendo themselves are going to be publishing (just like DQIX)!

Finally, the Zenithian trilogy will be complete. I hear this one has a job system and a dual world setup that mirrors those of A Link To The Past and Chrono Cross. Can't wait. Looks like Nintendo's making good on that claim that they want to get some previously un-released jRPGs out internationally to prop up the DS before the 3DS hits and takes all its mojo.
Can't think of a better Valentine's Day gift for your Nintendo DS-owning significant other than a copy of DQVI!
... no really, I can't!
Well, I think Tricia's going to lose her mom again this Valentine's Day. That said, she's STILL playing DQIX and has well over 600 hours on it.
was there ever a remake of dragon quest 3? its the best one in my opinion.
i loved it cause i used to see the cartoon spinoff, its not the same characters in the original game but the cartoon had the same music and it was one of the best shows i seen of an rpg set anime.
this is what the cartoon was:
if you dont remember what DQ3 looked like here's a song reminder XD you cant forget this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9Vhk9_Jlzg
i loved ff4 a lot so i'm happy they remade it, i just wish they remade dragon quest 3... they seem to be remaking a lot of cool games of the past, this is one title i'd hate for them to leave out.
anyway thanks for the topic, its neat to see.. dragon quest is such a classic rpg XD remember that episode in detective boy conan when the kid was playing dragon quest its such an awsome gaming series
DQ III was remade for the Gameboy Color, although I'm guessing that is the version you are referring to. DQ I and II were also remade for the GBC... All 3 originally came out for the NES/Famicom ๐ฏ
Back on topic, I can't see myself buying this, sadly. DQXI was great, but I could not get past the damned different dialects every village had.
^^ what country do you live where you were lucky enough to have viewed that? The only Dragon Quest related anime we ever saw here in the U.S. was the first 13 episodes of Yuusha Abel Densetsu (Legend of the Great Abel), or as we simply knew it as, Dragon Warrior (after the game's localization). If I was lucky enough to have woken up early enough on Saturday mornings (6 A.M.? I forget) I would watch the +%@+ out of those episodes, bad dubbing aside.
Dragon Quest I & II was first remade for the Super Famicom (SNES) as was Dragon Quest III, later. Then they decided to remake them again for GBC, and even added some extra goodies you won't find in the originals or the SFC remakes.
DQXI was great
Awesome. What else can you tell us about the year 2014? ๐

um.... i dont mean to depress you dear but everyone in the world saw dragon quest's dai adventure anime. see japan gives everyone but the west the same cartoons, so we growed up seeing the same animes. germany, spain, france, greece.... we all saw loads of anime series as kids even in our parents time there was a lot of animes broadcasted just like in japan. anyway on the brightside japan only gave the west cartoons like transformers and macross, we had to watch them on american channels
i'm going to look for a subtitled dai anime if i can, if i find it i'll send you a link. i saw some of my old shows subtitled in english so maybe this too.
and yeah i meant a new age remake not the GBC its just such an awsome rpg dragon quest 3 had it all. i didnt play the GBC ones though... still i cant handle the old graphics i really wish for a remake. oh and DQ2 was awsome too.
