Interestingly, these names are not in the list, and, at the least you would think Mega Man and M. Bison would be there:

As for Viper, while I don't think she's amazing, I've seen posted about her being in this on Kotaku claiming they won't even consider the game now that she's in it...
And I sometimes think I'm bad for avoiding Sonic 4 because it doesn't play like I want it too...

It's true...we are terrible. I'm super pumped for Viper being in. It's been rumored for quite some time...same for Storm. I'm just glad to see more chicks. Now I can have my two complete only female cast teams. 
Yay yay! But I hope those of you that were wanting Captain Commando can accept that he won't be in. Viper claimed that spot.
Her style looks fantastic in this game too, seems almost wasted in the more restrained Street Fighter gameplay. Kind'a like how Darkstalkers characters seem more fun in MvC2.

I'm a little annoyed though. From what I hear, Dante and Deadpool are getting quite a lot of attention at various events, and are shaping up to be quite high-tier much like Magneto/Sentinel/Storm before them. I'm not annoyed that they're good, I'm just annoyed that we're going to go in to the game with this pre-concived notion that certain characters are better than others, and I know I'm going to get a lot of "omgscrub pick other characters" just because I want to use D&D. =/
Well, they DID nerf the damage on Dante's gun special so at least they're trying to make sure it's balanced.
They probably won't catch everything, though...
Keep an eye out for any Iceman related updates if you're worried about balance. :S

'allo, wots dis? Capcom Unity is having a little survey and asking members to vote for their top 3 Marvel and top 3 Capcom characters choices for potential DLC. The results will be forwarded to the MvsC3 dev team for consideration. It's not terribly OFFICIAL, but this is a chance for the fans to have their voices heard. If it can influence what kind of DLC characters we'll be getting in the future, I think it might be worth the time to post your most wanted characters.
However, the original thread is on lockdown for the moment. Seems they want to wait until Capcom reveals the full character roster proper before continuing.

I can understand people wanting him in the game, but that much? I then realized that Strider and Pyslocke, and arguable Venom, are on there for the very same reason. I thought people had more class than riding on their nostalgia cloud. Oh well.

I've never cared about Gambit much. He's... OK. But his following with roster polls like this is probably entirely due to his role in that cartoon.
^Uh, is that why? I always thought the the animation on the show was rather off puttingly bad, even as a kid, so I never watched it. If I ever tuned into it was to listen to theme song.

Glad to see Vergil and Talbain high on the Capcom list. Dissapointed to see Cable being beaten by Carnage on the Marvel side though. If they wanted to add a second symboite, Toxin would be preferble to Carnage.

Personally i'm super pumped for Phoenix. I wanted her from the get-go. And Haggar...while I doubt i'll be using him much...nice to see him finally get in a recent Capcom fighting game.

Hell, there's a reason Gambit ended up in the Wolverine movie even when he shouldn't have, and that's because fans wanted him in the movies since the original. Hell, I'm still pissed off at what X-Men 3 did to Psylocke, one of my favourites despite only having one animated appearence I know of in all the X-Men animations, and only really knew of due to the Amazing X-Men series here in the UK (a republishing of Uncany but in A4 sized pages). And we all know how Venom was shoe horned into Spidey 3.
Plus we're on a Sonic forum, we're about ten years away from our relevant days. 😛
