Browsing Segas FTP site for Sega Superstars Tennis stuff, I decided to have a bit of a browse. The following filled my heart with glee.

Quote:

THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 & 3 RETURN

Platform:&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Wii
Category:&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Arcade Shooter (Wii Zapper compatible)
Developer(s): &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp SEGA
Release: &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Spring 2008
ESRB: &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp M for Mature (Blood and Gore, Violence)

OVERVIEW:

Two great arcade titles are resurrected on the Nintendo Wii! The HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 & 3 RETURN combines two of the best light gun games THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 and THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD III to deliver the full arcade experience of battling hordes of rabid zombies and mutated monsters in the comfort of their homes.

THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD franchise is famous for its heart-pounding pace, astounding visual details and vast armies of unique enemies. Blasting through legions of grotesque zombies and mutated monsters, players eventually face-off against mammoth boss creatures that will test the accuracy and skill of every Wii gamer.

Both THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 and THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD III will feature the original arcade experience, complete with branching storylines, over six ghoul-filled game modes and bonus content. Re-live your glory days in the arcades and mow down packs of clawing, biting undead with the new rapid-fire Wii Zapper! Utilizing the innovative new Wii Zapper or the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, players will experience branching storylines with over six game modes including Arcade Mode and Time Attack modes that will test their shooting skills.

THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 & 3 RETURN features an engaging single-player campaign, plus a co-op multiplayer mode for up to two players for countless hours of zombie shooting action.

KEY FEATURES
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Experience the popular arcade shooting action at home. Blast the undead with the quick trigger action of the Wii Zapper.
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Co-op gameplay. Grab a friend and destroy the undead together including Arcade mode and Time Attack mode.
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Gory arcade graphics. THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 & 3 RETURN retains the rich arcade graphics you love.

Bust out those Wii Zappers folks. It's time to make those zombie gits 'Suffer like G did?'

Sir Sega has given it a second chance. Don't even think you can pass up these games. Go, buy!

*cough* I wonder how many'll even get that one.

Remember: there's no such thing as a second chance. (ie: I do)

This has been known since late November but remains good news even still. I'm still surprised that there isn't the first one in there - you'd think they'd have completed the trifecta and just gone for it.

And if they include Typing of the Dead then this is an instant buy.

I downloaded it somewhere.

Actually, I'm half-ashamed to admit, that's the only House of the Dead I've actually played. Heh heh heh... ^^;

Screw the Zapper. The Nyko Perfect Shot is where it's at.

Also, I noticed it says "Gory arcade graphics. THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 & 3 RETURN retains the rich arcade graphics you love." To me, that reads more like "We want to shove this out here to make some money, so we're not going to bother updating the graphics at all!"

That thing is a good thing. Wii zapper = extreme fail for one main reason. You have to pull the trigger with the hand that is in front. It's really awkward to do.

Yeah--an annoyance is also that the trigger has no spring, so it gets kind of tiring squishing the button over and over.
