Halo 3 Beta is amazing. It's great to look at, fun to play, well balanced...They've got great new weapons, and the vehicles are still fun as ever. Again the Graphics are so good, they are ridiculous. The gameplay is flawless. Plus it's just beta.
I am really pleased at what I am seeing from Beta and how well Bungie is doing. If Campaign can be as good as This is, were all in for a good ride.
I'm still so mad that I'm not able to play it. I didn't want to buy crackdown and I didn't find out about that three thingy 'till about a month ago (which was about four months late)
Oh well, I'll just wait for the actual game to come out.

I played this at a friends house. Granted, it needs some minor things tweaked and fine tuned, but it seemed pretty cool for the most part.
My friends and I've pretty much been playing the beta for minimum six hours a day since it came out. I'm not much of a Halo fan, and the graphics and sound are pretty lame, but the multiplayer gameplay sure is fun -- and I'm astoundingly decent at it.
There's a moron over here with it. Another that was with us was complaining about it being, "Just like the other two." But I don't see why thats a bad thing. Why change a winning formula? They tossed in a bunch of new stuff to play with as well so I can't this <b>not</b> being played to death.

On another random Halo 3 related note, I like some of the subtle little detail things they are doing this time around. Like how your corpse floats on the water for a couple seconds when you get killed. Or how when a teammate gets killed mid-sentence, you actually hear an in-game death scream over your headset just before the comm goes dead.
I've heard the in-game death scream, but I didn't figure it for a talking comrade.
Man if Campaign can be good, this game no doubt will be perfect.

I don't so much dislike Halo 1 and 2 so much as I think they're extremely overrated. And no matter how good I am at Halo 3, I still miss mouselook.

i'm the same way. i love the story and everything, but every time i get together with a bunch of people somebody always suggests "HALO 2!!!!!!!!" i get goldeneye syndrome (my friends would always want to play goldeneye for N64) so i think that's what really has turned me off from shooters. ( i don't care about how bad i am at shooters though, cuz gears of war is still fun.)

Some guy named adjutant reflex has been releasing cryptic news on Bungie forums. People have determined that he is one of the Arks monitors. It's I Love Bees all over again.
He showed up on HBO forums too.
To be honest I'm not really gonna track this too well unless it's confirmed to be something going on by Bungie. We've already had one instance to my recollection of someone starting a thread which looked like one of these and messing with people, it could be another instance of that.

For the record, the last page of that comic has a selection of hidden numbers. These spell out an IP address which eventually links to here. Looks like another countdown (these are around far too often), but the numbers are in base 7. Either way, it runs off computer clock and is set to expire on midnight of June 20th/21st.
Also seemingly related is 206.16.223.63, which seems like your average fanatics site, until you look on the Evidence page...the last piece of evidence is the symbol painted by the man in the comic in the exact right place. Hmm.

Would Halo on the DS be cool? Yes. Highly unlikely? Yeah.
Unless 'Matt' refers to a Bungie employee (to which I have no recollection, not that I know everyone involved), I don't follow this one bit. We already had one Halo DS rumour before and for some reason I just don't see it happening.

This isn't nearly as cool as ilovebees, but it's still cool.
I don't really like this so much. It's not...going anywhere. What little we have is just getting overanalysed to hell to the point of ridiculous theories, and it just isn't coming together yet. And there's very little interactivity with the audience...it's just a waiting game up to now. Until something interesting happens i'm quite disappointed.

Elites have yet to be confirmed, but I think it likely that they'll be back. At least, they will if their character design gets changed at all. In Halo 2 they were like larger than humans and had longer heads, so lol easy targets for snipers and whatnot.
EDIT: For the record, Bungie have put up High-res screenshots involving the new armor and two new maps, Epitaph and Last Resort (a remake of Zanzibar that was commonly leaked from the internal beta). You can see them here.
IGN also have a writeup featuring previews of Epitaph, Last Resort, and the tuned-for-vehicles map Shrine. Also features information on a new vehicle, the Brute Chopper, a new equipment item, the Jammer, which sends the motion tracker crazy for anyone nearby and also messing with their screen, as well as a lot of information about file sharing and the new armor.
Elites bothered me anyways. I used them, but I started to realize realize that EVERYONE on XBox Live that used them was like 13 and was really bad at the game and people started assuming that of me, which got annoying after a while so I quit.
Eh, I don't like that new-fangled armour they got.
Although I'm loving the Brute Chopper. <3 And Last Resort looked sexy, especially from the leaked gameplay footage.

I want to say this looks awesome. That said, I said that about the original E3 demo for Halo 2 and then the campaign changed radically from that and was a large disappointment for me, so I daren't.
EDIT: I spy with my little eye another halo ring in that trailer...sigh. 1:24, inside the cockpit of the Pelican above the atmosphere, you can see something stretching up in the distance. It looks a bit distorted, and there's a weird structure also in view, some sort of wall, but i seems the most likely explaination. Hopefully the wrong one, too. battle for earth plz kthx
In other news, 30 second priview of Halo Wars. Not too much shown, but still - looks to be cut short, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a longer, official version coming soon.
The Halo 3 trailer looks very, very sexy indeed.
It covers gameplay, storyline, characters, and graphics. Very sexy indeed.
Looks like the Arbiter's going to play a big part in this game, and judging from the gameplay, it could be very Gears of War-esque in the fact that it might be designed for a two-player campaign, and even possibly an on-line two-player campaign.
Looks like Cortana's going a bit crazy there. And seeing Johnson aboard the Pelican with the MC is hot. Also looks like Sgt. Stacker is back for round three, as well as Miranda Keyes.
As for the Covenant. Well, judging by the clip, looks like it's only the Elites which have switched sides, no thanks to the Arbiter no doubt. But looks like they're being replaced by the Brutes in the armour. Dangerous, especially as much pains as they were before, but now they actually look like proper soldiers and leaders, giving orders out. The Drones picking up the soldiers? That's cool. Also, a Brute breaking the back of a civilian worker? That's pretty damn cool, too.
Finally, the Scarab's got a look upgrade. This applies to both Halo 3 and Halo Wars. They finally look like part of the Covenant vehicle set.
The cut scenes look absolutely gorgeous, especially if they're the in game models. I can't wait for the CG stuff which could be lined up for us. But is it just me, or do we not see any other Elites apart from the Arbiter, and that one other Elite in the background in the scene with Cortana?
But overall, I don't know about you guys, but I am thoroughly impressed with the work Bungie's putting out for us, and am definitely looking forward to Halo 3 later this year.
Also, lolz, in the clip where the MC and the Arbiter are confronting each other, for a second there, it looks like they're about to make out.

Joseph Staten is the actual Bungie employee who contributes on the game's storyline as well as the Halo Story Bible.
The only worry is that it will be scant on detail.
