Well, Microsoft are really pushing Halo 3 merchandising for reasons such as this. On one hand I don't really agree with it - most of the sales would be made with or without the promotions anyway - but on the other it barely affects the UK to my awareness, so whatever.
Oh, and since it's recent news that hasn't been put here, flamethrower and fourth (fire) grenade confirmed for Halo 3.

Entry to this unique and unprecedented fan event is free, but you must be 18 years old, or be accompanied by an adult Guardian. Halo 3 is rated MA by the ESRB. Space is limited and seats cannot be guaranteed. Attendees are responsible for their own transport and parking.
Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The premiere and demonstration should last less than an hour.

Anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled, there's a leak. What does this mean for you? Stay away from Bungie.net forums, 4chan and Something Awful. You WILL be spoiled within the next two weeks, guaranteed. If they'd do it for Bioshock, they'll do it TWICE for Halo 3.
Crap. Fortunately for me, I don't frequent those sites to begin with. But now I'm starting to get paranoid about frequenting the internet at all. >_>

If Gamestation get enough legendary editions in, then yes I shall be at a midnight opening.
I prordered from gamestop, so I have no need to go anywhere at midnight! The bad thing is that I have to wait a little extra though, but it'll be worth it.
Sweet. The GameStop I preordered from is having a midnight launch, so I'll be there retrieving my preorder. Followed by going home and playing the game unitl I have to go to work that morning. 
I don't live near any big game stores so I had to order off the internet. So then it takes a few days to ship. I was actually wondering when I would recieve the game, I ordered 2 day shipping. Would they send it the 25th or a few days early so I get it the 25th? Oh man, if I get it later than the 25th I'll be so mad! I can barely wait another day.
I have a bad memory but when I ordered sonic 2k6 I got overnight shipping, I'm not sure if I got it early or anything.
