Cool, can't wait to play this.
DO WANT DO WANT DO WANT DO WANT!!!!
*if nothing else, desires better driving AI*
Though this does give a whole new meaning to the phrase "I can has recon?".
Looks ok. Most probably more worthwhile than the map packs, at any rate. That said I wonder why they've decided to make it standalone - surely it would have been easier to do it as DLC, and Shivering Isles is proof that it would work. Additionally, I wonder why Fall 2008 - they already have the engine in place, and I presume a large number of assets, too, and it's been a year since the initial release. I dunno, just thought they could maybe have done it quicker. Though I guess the same could be said about the Half Life episodes.
For the most part, I'm interested. To be honest one of my biggest disappointments in the previous two entries was the lack of a major conflict in an Earth city - in 2 you're stuck on a linear path quite early in the game and then whisked off to another Halo ring, and by 3 most of the place you visit have been reduced to rubble anyway - the only town you go through is Voi which is made up solely of a bunch of identical warehouses. I have the misgiving that the experience could be something of a lonely one, playing as a sole marine - one of my main gripes about the Arbiter levels in Halo 2 was the lack of Cortana to keep you company and stop the game become a mindless action slog. I guess the Superintendent will guide you through, but it's likely the only communication he'll give is via terminals.
Bungie sure do love their terminals.
So its Call of Duty: Halo? Done. Also is that trailer in game? I doubt it is but it does look good.
PREPARE TO DROP.
<3
cool more overrated generic fps
yeah, but now with less overrated protagonist!
The game looks really good. I'm pretty glad that they are switching it up a bit with playing a Marine guy instead of Master Chief. I would have prefered a game were you could use your multiplayer Sparten as the main guy though.
hmm... could be a woman in that suit...
wouldn't that be a kick in the pants!

Yes yes, but that wasn't the point I was trying to make.

Because selling it via retail = more money.
Yeah, just because its a huge hit on Live doesn't mean that everyone has internet or at least high speed internet to be able to download it if it was DLC. I actually have a few friends with Xbox 360's that don't have internet.
I prefer having a disk over something on my hard drive thats taking up all my space on it. Well that and I don't have the speediest internet around and trying to dowload something over a GB on my 360 takes at least an hour and a half. I could just go to wal mart and get it in 20 minutes.
