But it seems Sega has a new console - of sorts - in the works.

One and two.

Can you even call it a console? It only plays Java games.
It's more like a cheap ipod.

AGAIN With the TV Tuner!

Seriously, It didn't work for the Game Gear, so why are they still doing it now (I'll accept answers that are now "Because it's SEGA") ?

Because TV Tuners are actually pretty awesome, if priced right?

Further investigation on our part finds the Sega Vision isn't actually a Sega-developed device at all, and in fact a cheap Chinese iPod-style alternative, rebranded with the name of the fallen hardware company. The 'games' functionality that is referred to is actually Java games, like those on a mobile phone.

The Sega Vision is not a PSP beater. It's not even a dedicated gaming device.

XD I really wish people would stop pricking their ears up at the announcement of anything in the way of a new Sega console.
It ain't happening, not now they have the're market in software going well - That, and They screw up games enough as it is, who wants a console that's the embodiment of it? 😛

Have these things ever actually worked (besides the Game Gear)?
