The Roxas/Axel title is DS. That's enough to make me happy.

KH3 didn't sell me with all it's insanity (THE Keyblade, dang it. THE. I can appreciate there being one in the land of darkness and the world between worlds, but since the introduction of the 4th... for Kairi no less... I've been cynical) so I have no ambitions to enjoy it's prequel.

But seeing Roxas's year of existance could be fun.

I love that Kingdom Hearts is coming out with a trio of games. But I was disappointed that none of them is actually the next installment of the game. Or KH3 (and yes I know that the KH3 isn't going to be titled KH3).

I just got into the games, and want some more. I don't have any of those systems the new trio is going to be released on. Plus, I want to see KH on the next gen system. I think that will be something to look forward too.

Er, yes it will. o.o Everybody assumed that the next game in the series Nomura was working on, based on the Birth by Sleep secret ending, would be called KH3, but Nomura stated that that would not be the case (which makes sense seeing as how it's a prequel and not a continuation of Sora's story).

A true KH3 will eventually be developed, most likely on a next gen system.

BbS "closed doors" trailer leaked. It's blurry, it sounds like crap and it really doesn't show us anything we don't already know from scans and officially released screenshots... but here it is, nonetheless.

Also, a bit of an update on things. As it were, Square-Enix recently revealed how their mobile gaming division has been losing more cash than they could conceivably make up, and has officially stopped production on several recent high profile titles for mobile phones. This, of course, could mean Kingdom Hearts: Coded as well. They have not released any info on which titles are affected by this and what will become of them (handheld ports seems a likely scenario).

I wouldn't mind at all if they scratch the phone game, I just can't get interested in that one. The other two sound good, but alas I don't have a PSP or DS. :/
Hopefully I can get one for at least one of the games sometime in the future.

Anyways, seen some pics from the BBS game. Looks good quality wise for a PSP game and seen one of the main characters (kinda looks like Zack from FF7 with some funky looking pants. o_O)

I've been wanting to play Kingdom Hearts, so this just makes me want to play that game even more now.

I had renounced KH, after seeing the trailer for III and feeling mildly betrayed by II, though I cannot even remember why I was so very upset with it anymore.

So, perhaps against better judgement, a curiosity of the storyline will once again attract me like a fly to a bug zapper. Still, stylistically it's going to look great and I'm sure knowing all throughout that Roxas is going to disappear ("YOU WONT DISAPPEAR!" "...I'll... disappear...?") will make the ending sad and make me cry for Axel, only not really.

Anywho, gist of post: I am a consumer whore and will buy the DS game.

Sorry for the bump but Days' spoilers ahoy

I also found why riku was so shocked at roxas weiliding the keyblade 1st time he met him. He didn't know sora had a nobody or rather didn't want to admit it because he knew it was his fault. The 2nd time he met roxas he said "What's wrong sora are u done already, Pretty pathetic." And roxas responds the same way sora did in kh1. Right here is when riku understood that sora indeed had a nobody and he knew he had to trust DiZ. He knew he had to capture roxas in order for sora to wake up and understood the only way to do this was to accept the darkness inside him. It's crazy that this one scene from KH2 had some much meaning to it.

As for the reason of the Chain of Memories, the reason Marluxia wanted to overthrow the Organization is because he saw the power of the Keyblade thanks to Roxas and wanted it for himself. And when Xemnas sent Marluxia to Castle Oblivion (to get Sora to go there) Dusks told Xemnas of traitorous talks. Xemnas sent Axel to root him out and Vexen, Zexion, and Lexaeus were suppose to research on making more replicas. Which leads to a conclusion of the Riku Replica's creation.

I'll just play the game come September, thanks.

Honestly, I'm torn. Since one of them is coming for the DS, I'm inclined to pick it up and see if it'll help restore my faith in the KH series, but...but...I've grown accustomed to disliking that durn franchise when it started going overboard with its pointless games and Organization bull and Axel and whatever standard Square-Enix pretty boys the fangirls are squealing over. I missed it when it had, ya know, DISNEY characters as a better, focal point.

Conflictions...arise!

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days

The game is set to be released on September 29th 2009 in North America and October 10th in Europe. The Aussies get it one day before, though, on the 9th. So far, early previews have been favorable. And you can view it in action in these new gameplay videos at IGN.com.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep

BbS is on track for a "Winter" release in Japan, and as such Square Enix has been peppering the gaming public with lots of new info on the principle characters and the new worlds they'll be exploring. Chief among the updates is the reveal of Deep Space, the new world based on Disney's Lilo and Stitch. Stitch (known as "Experiment 626" at this point) will even join you as a party member in Deep Space, which appears to be comprised entirely by the prison ship Stitch was confined to early in the movie.

Also, Famitsu staged in interview with Tetsuya Nomura in regards to Birth By Sleep, a translated version can be read here. Apparently the name of the new enemies was mistranslated... the official English name is "the Unversed".

Their outfits, it almost seems as if they should be wearing suits of armor like in the KH2 secret ending. Perhaps they can transform into them like how Sora powers up when using the drive form? Will need to read up more as Birth by Sleep looks freakin' awesome. Forget 358.5 days (Though Xion seems interesting as a character).

So the new enemies are unversed? I wonder what the significance is, other than being some sort of foes that defy definition (Or don't have one yet). Hopefully Terra doesn't turn evil, such a cool looking character.

I've not hopped onto the KH bandwagon...but I so want to. What's the prequel here...358 1/2 Days? I may get that. Then pickup KH1 and so on.

Um, er... well, chronologically speaking the prequel here would be Birth by Sleep, which takes place 10 years before Kingdom Hearts. And after KH1, it goes Chains of Memories, 358/2 Days (though technically parts of 358/2 days takes place before, during and soon after CoM's events), Kingdom Hearts 2 and then the unwanted step-child we call Kingdom Hearts: Coded, of which we're still awaiting word on whether it'll be localized.

But if possible, I would advise that you play KH1 first and work your way through the others as they were released.

Oh yeah, the Official Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep website was recently relaunched and has a HQ trailer available for streaming. Granted, it's the old trailer from TGS 2008 that was only ever before seen as a leaked and rather clumsily-recorded camera phone video due to Square Enix's Closed Mega Theatre shenanigans...

You're talking about BbS, right? Considering hardly anything has been shown about this game's plot except from things that can only be surmised from screenshots and trailers... it's a little soon for people to be saying it's going to make the overall KH narrative "more convoluted" (well, more so that it already is). It's not like 358 over 2 days which had to wedge itself into existing canon.

My only real concern so far is Snow White, Aurora and Cinderella looking about the same age as they were shown in KH. What, were they in suspended animation between BbS and KH1?
