Alright, I just got out of work an hour ago, I'm gonna stay up all night watching movies, working out and doing homework. I will wake up bright and early on Tuesday morning, go to school all day, and come back to pick up Madworld.

Is anyone else psyched for this game? Sure, there's the chance it can bomb, but it looks like one of the most outrageous and funniest games I've seen in a long time. =3

2k! So nice seeing you active again. Anywho...yes this game does look quite amusing. Funny I looked in the bestbuy ads this Sunday and they had 4 Wii games they were "promoting"...three of them being rated M and one of those being, none other than MadWorld. I'm glad Sega is publishing it...maybe the game will rock and they can get their name on something "good" finally. 😛 Let me know how it is 2k...I might need some over the top, unrealistic, cel-shaded black and white hued fun to hold me over til Desperate Struggle comes out.

It's out already?

Anyway, Madworld looks interesting enough and is certainly a game that the wii needed, but it needed it months ago. As it is, my interest in the wii has completely evaporated by now and I can't be bothered to invest in any more wii games or plug the thing back up. Oh well.

It comes out tomarrow in NA. I think Europe gets it a week or two later.
I would be getting it, but I just bought a few other things and don't have the money anymore. I'm more interested in Bayonetta and Infinite Space anyway.

Aww...Pach give her another chance. I gotta say though...I do feel like a cheatig husband these past few months. Since getting my PS3 my Wii hasn't been touched. And it turns out that expansion update for Midnight Club LA comes out Thursday so I guess I will be passing on Madworld, but please do let us know how it is 2k. It has caught me interest.

P.S. Just to keep my Wiife as an active part of my life i'm taking her over to a friends' to play space shooters[Virtual Console] all day Friday so that should keep her warm and toasty, yea?

P.S.S. Wow...I really should not have watched this. I want the game now. Looks absolutely brillant. And the bosses look crazy sick. Death Blade looked so sweet. As did the hover dude...at like around 2:55 or something. But you know...Platinum and Grasshopper need to collaborate...create a No More Heroes vs. MadWorld...that would be sick. I'd but copies of that game for me and my friends...even if they don't have Wiis. Also not to mention...they gave the game a 9. Wow! I'm impressed...and abit dismayed because I want to get this. >_<

Might check it out sometime later. Resident Evil 5 is almost here as well and I have to use my money and my time on that instead. Looks good though.

I just got it this afternoon and cleared 4 stages. So far, all I can say is that it satisfied my expectations. The commentary, while it repeats itself often (even moreso with the thugs you fight) brings smirks to my face and even has me laughing really hard. The game itself reminds me a lot like No More Heroes, but on steroids and I'm loving it. Luckily it's getting some pretty good scores, so I don't have to feel like some sort of "lone defender" of the title.

Oh wow...that's great glad you're enjoying it man. And I know what you mean about being a lone defender though. Heh...But yea keep us updated on the game as you work your way through it.

I beat the game early Thursday morning, just been too busy with work and school to make an update.

The game was beatable in a day, but there's nothing wrong with that. While many can consider it "short" I feel that there are just enough sparks where it's needed. The story wound up being very enjoyable, and ultimately, I know I'm going to be playing this one over and over again for a long time.

In fact, I dare say I'll play some more now. =3

Awesomeness! So you've played No More Heroes, yes? Do you like Madworld more? Or can you not really compare them?

It's really tough, both have their own sparks, from great cutscenes, music, voice acting, play style and so on. I'd say the length is about the same if you take out NMHs side-stuff in the city (which I enjoyed, by the way). Madworld DOES feel more complete, whereas NMH had a few areas that felt like it could have been ironed out better with more production time, but I forgave that because Suda51 braught me Killer7. All in all, if you like a gruff chainsaw man, Madworld is what I perscribe, or if you want a nerdy modern-day jedi who is very much like the people who play the character, then No More Heroes.

Either way, these are both amazing games that I love. May not be "game of the year" games, but they're damned fun and some of the best offerings of 2008 and 2009, and proof that while the Wii lacks graphical power, and decent online, sometime that Wii remote/nunchuck combo actually makes some games better than on a standard controller.

Hahaha thanks for the response. That was very helpful. I see exactly where you're coming from. I love how the Wii has these unique exclusives that, as you said, wouldn't be the same on the other consoles given their controller set-up. I really want to try Madworld sometime. Maybe once the price drops...this summer possibly? 😛
