Okay, I have a hub that allows me to connect computers together with Ethernet cables to network for multiplayer computer games. I'd like to play MechWarrior 4, but unfortunately we'd require another copy of the game to do that.

However, I have the Black Knight expansion pack as well as the MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries game, and I thought I heard that there was some kind of patch that could allow someone with the original game to play against people with the expansion pack. I've already looked at Microsoft's official MechWarrior 4 website but it does not appear that they have the patch available there, or if it is then they didn't clearly state its capability to interface with the other versions of the game.

Any help with this would be appreciated.
