Super generic quote is super generic. How many FIGHTAN/COLLECTAN games have a similar line somewhere in them?

STREET FIGHTER ALPHA
I'm pretty sure its Virtua Fighter 2. I'm not sure who says it though. I'll go ahead and say Jeffry.
Final Fight if memory serves me correctly. No idea on character though.
No to everyone so far. Lift your game!
Is it from one of them there King of Fighters games?
No.
No to everyone so far. Lift your game!
That's like saying "Ok. The quote is "Hello, how are you?" And go go go!" =(
Gonna go a little more left of field here and say JoJos Bizarre Adventure.
Nup. Sorry Gyse.
...Is it 2D in the sense that they're using sprites or the gameplay is 2D?
Rishi lost his turn when he didn't respond to CT's response for five days.
I now take the turn. >=D
"Shut up! Or I'll gut you!"
Deathstroke.
From MK vs. DC
...thank goodness that was google-able.
Yes. Your turn.
Ahhh how did I miss that. I watched all the cutscenes on Youtube. That immediately followed the Joker's hilarious "KHAAAAAAAAN" nod.
"I hope you guys aren't up to anything weird... kids are watching this too, you know!"
Viewtiful Joe! =D Both requirements!
Your answer is...
correct!
Simple one.
"I guess we know whose milkshake brings all the boys to the yard."
Mia Fey: Phoenix Wright Trials and Tribulations
yuppsies
"Hey Mr jumpsallthetime, we'll see who's the better jumper"
...this is Paper Mario, right?
Part of the series, yes
Super Paper Mario
Yes
Now which character?
Aren't you being a bit excessive? I got the right game, didn't I? Or am I being held to a different set of rules that I don't see posted?
The rule has always been Game and Character, and we've been doing that way this whole time. It's not obvious in the rules because of how badly written they are, but it's implied. I think.
3) Whoever answered the previous character correct gets to use a new quote. But if he or she doesn't respond in three days, the question is up for grabs
Psxphile's Interpretation was:
rule #3 specifically calls for a character to be named as the one who issued the quote.
Yes
Besides, we've naming the characters as well as the game. lol
....Mr.L
CT got it.
His turn
"He's sort of cute...
Actually...
He's REALLY cute!"
Actually... that's sort of nonspecific. Re-do.
"I beg to differ Milady, I've never heard a bad word about you... but then again I haven't heard a good word about you, either."
...that may be a little paraphrased.
I notice that rules is only used when it serves your purpose. You just don't want to give me the win for getting the game right when others have only had to name the game to get a win. I quit.
Oh stop being a baby. Everybody else was guessing the character as well. Sheesh.
Rule 3 clearly states it must be a character. People only named the game for clarifications.
*calls the waaaaaaambulance*
I suggest you reread the posts in this thread more carefully. I read all of them.
I believe it should be to the discretion of the poster of the quote. Obviously if the quote is from a less mainstream and obscure game they might be willing to only have the correct name of the game posted since it'd help to keep the flow of this thread going, whereas more mainstream games might have the poster wanting the character as well, as I did with my Metal Gear Solid 4 quote. So really it should be game and character but it can be up to the discretion of the quote poster which one they want.
In short, who the hell cares when its only a little internet game.

It all comes down to this, really. But I gotta say I suck at remembering who said what[also considering there're so many games I haven't even played yet I haven't heard many of these] so if I ever one one of these, i'll probably end up giving it to someone. I can't even think of a game I play where the characters have conversations. =P

So did I. The only games where a character has not been given was Armada (on account of obscurity), GTA:VCS (the character was extremely minor) and Devil May Cry 3 (Dunno what went on there). The point is, you're clearly overreacting and getting defensive over nothing, or perhaps just because you're a sore loser.

Get over it. There are worse things happening in the world right now, like the global economic crisis. But I guess that doesn't affect me THAT much, since I still mooch off of my mum's money anyway. Good ol' mum, always comes through for me when the chips are down!
....A-anyway.
I guess I'll take it.
"It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum and I'm all outta gum."
That's from a movie: Big Trouble in Little China, 1986, Jack Burton (played by Kurt Russell). That is the EXACT quote from the movie...
Moving on already? D:
But nobody geussed MY quote yet...
Woah, you had one out? I didn't see it. Well, tough rocks. =P
Anyhow, Ichy, it is a movie quote (from They Live first. Both movies were directed by John Carpenter, though, so I suppose it could have been there as well.), but it's being referenced by this video game action hero.
