Judges?
::PING!::
You are correct sir, the game in question is indeed Metal Warriors, developed by LucasArts and published by Konami for the SNES. Hella fun game.
And yes, the acronym was referring to Zombies Ate My Neighbors, also developed/published by the aforementioned companies.
Whee I get to go next! Oh joy!
Watch me pick one thats one of the two extreems. Ridiculously easy or ridiculously hard to figure out....
Well....can anyone guess what this is from?
A wild guess, but some game based on the Toy Story movies?
Well this particular character is based off of Woody but the entire game has nothing to do with Toy Story.
Satan's Stare: Your Soul is Mine? No, seriously, I dunno.
Is there anything in the rules that state against using additional screenshots as hints?
I've never played Illbleed, but I figure that's probably a good thing!
So yeaaaah, that second pic totally gave it away. That Woody/Indianna Jones character wasn't going to do the trick, in my case.
heh ok. You got it. Its Illbleed. I never played the game either but I've watched the playthrough of it.
oh man, really reaching back now... this one blew me away back in 1990.
The last two images don't seem to be working for me.
Edit: Ahh, now they're working! No idea though.
If you're really reaching back...was this game played on a hand held like Gameboy?
What gave it away, the complete lack of color? Yeah, it's a GameBoy game. It's also one of those rare gems like The Guardian Legend that mixes two distinct genres into one satisfying package, in this case top-down exploration and first-person shooter (... in a sense).
ooooh is it COSMO TANK !!!1111!!!???
hells to the yeah!
I can't find any larger images of this game. But can anybody guess what it is?
Brain Dead 13. It was released first for PC and then to various CD-based consoles including the PS1, Sega Saturn and 3DO.
The FMV Trial and Error games that Dragon's Lair inspired tried one last time to reclaim their place in the video game industry... TO NO AVAIL.
Gah. Why are you so good at this game! ><
And indeed Vivi's Funeral Salon was the best part.

Not a day goes by I don't ask myself the same question.
Here's my contribution, and it's an easy one:
Mechs!!! Yeeeeaaaaahhhh! Anyway...ummm dang I usually stick to two mech series...this one not one of them. But uhhh is it Front Mission?
It's a Front Mission...
Great...ok. I don't know how many there are. >_< Uhhh...Front Mission 2? lol
I'm going to take a friggin stab in the dark and say its Front Mission 3
friggin stab in the--- GET OVER HERE!! *noogiesyou*
FM3 was the shiz. It's the first one I've played, and it's the only one I like. Definitely give it a shot if you like mech-flavored strategy games.
doooooooooooooes this mean I guessed it right?
u_u Yes...it does D.B. Congrats! ^_^ And i'll take your advice Psx! Thanks for the video.
This game isn't very well known in the United States though it and its predecessor were brought over anyway. It has a cult following though. I think every character had their hair color changed from black to blond. (to make them look less Japanese I guess) Its a popular PS2 game in Japan in 2006. It came to America in 2007.
Hint: You have to constantly watch your body temperature or its game over!
Raw Danger?
Yay Somebody other than Psxphile got the right answer!
Raw Danger :
Gameplay: Players must think on their feet and utilize creative survival skills to have any hope of seeing their family again. Body temperature and health decrease when players are wet or in cold weather too long. They must find places to warm themselves and gather food, and find dry clothes or make them. In the end, players must run, climb, jump, and crawl their way out of this devastated city, while constantly trying to piece together information from emergency broadcasts and other victims of the disaster. Players must make choices that can affect the ending of the game and dialog.
Plot : The year is 2010. The underground city, Geo City, is a project put together to design the safest and most advanced city ever built in the world. The newly-opened city is working great and the Mayor's Conference to commemorate the opening is going well, aside from a bit of rain outside. Joshua and Stephanie are just two of the waiters helping make the conference go as smoothly as possible. But, when the nearby Levee breaks and the Hudson River begins to flood the city from above, the building the conference is being held in begins to be pummeled and destroyed by the raging rapids. The city and everyone in it are in total panic and turmoil.
Yay! My turn, then?
This game has had a few versions, but this screenshot is from the first.
I wanted to say Final Fantasy VI because of the ground at the front, but I know for a fact there was no scenes like that in FFVI.
It's definately a SNES era Square game though.
Not quite... but you're right on one count.
That would be Final Fantasy V which never made it to the US
Romancing SaGa?
Nope and nope.
This game featured an NPC who became playable in later versions.
Taking a stab here: Tales of Phantasia.
Debuted on Super Fami and never made it over here. Was ported to the PS1 (and included a new party member that was previously an NPC) and later, the GBA (with an apparently atrocious translation by Nintendo of America) and PSP.
Also, never played it.
Secret of Mana
Psxphile got it.
I meant that GyserHog was right about it being from the SNES era, it's not by Square in the least. It's the first game of the Tales series (the most recent entries being on the Wii and 360) and was fairly groundbreaking - for one thing, its intro had a full vocal song.
The GBA port was rather sloppy, sadly, especially in terms of translation - not only was it inconsistent with its GameCube prequel, but they apparently used Microsoft Word for the script and managed to change "Ragnarok" into "Kangaroo."
The particular screenshot I used was from a bit in the story rendered by cutscene in the later ports.
The playable NPC gave it away. I wouldn't have guessed it was a Tales game, otherwise. Actually, it looked more like something Quintet might've developed (of Actraiser/Soul Blazer fame).
Here's my next one:
Why does that person in green remind me of Yusuke Urameshi?
Flying Dragon: The Secret Scroll
It's been a week so I'll take it.
What the hell? I could've SWORE I followed up RR's post with congrats for getting it right days ago! 😮
P.S. It's delicious Mappy. RR can have my turn, as reparations for screwing him out of his turn.
Indeedles.
I was wondering if I should have just posted anyway since I was confident I got it right, or if I should have just waited for a confirmation, thinking maybe this was some sort of nefarious Psx plot to murder this topic by ways of neglect. That didn't quite seem to be the case though, yes.
Anyway, since Adventure Island is more well-know than I thought, let's try this one out.
Journey to Silius. By Sunsoft.
Another game I never played and yet somehow know about.
You did it!
i'm running out of ideas...
....Metal Gear?
Ha. The main character had the exact same reaction.
But no.
