What are the rules?

I'll join (under the name Infa Red) as soon as I know the rules

For the record and for absolute truth's sake, none of us are familiar with the actual NB metagame; we don't play it like that.

Standard rules are something along the lines of no ubers, no duplicate pokemon or duplicate items, no evasion moves or OHKO moves and sleep clause on or something like that. Could be modified in favor of popular opinion, I guess.

I'd say that Miles will be around to join in but I haven't seen him around lately.

As always, I'll be participating probably with the same team I've had for the last six months.

No duplicate items? But I just give that status curing item to everyone D=

I personally think no duplicate items is a stupid rule and would cirpple just about everyone's team but I guess it's majority rules, so if we get enough people we'll put it to a vote.

I'm still too lazy to think of anything but Leftovers n__N

I never did redownload netbattle when I formatted my computer, and I really don't think I'll have the patience to reassemble my old team =(

I'm going to think about it. Gotta reinstall the netbattler thingy if anything.

For the people too lazy to make teams we'll be having a CC tourney as mentioned above.

I still hold for duplicate pokemon rule because it can have a large effect unlike duplicate items.

I can't Ziggy. I have no idea how to play Pokeymans since they added all the new stuff. I don't even know what item attachments are, or what iron and dark types are good for and such.

So, because I'm an impatient git, and I want to test my haxey Sandslash against everyone, has a date been decided, or did this idea get a nice start, but then just drift unto oblivion?

As Rabid said, we were thinking about setting it for yesterday but it was inconvenient for me and we thought we might want to wait until the holidays to make it easier for people to make it on the day. I got sidetracked and blalala.

We also have a problem: 14 entrants. It's an even number but gives us 7 pairs of people and that's no good. I know some{or at least, one} are uncertain about whether they're joining so I could do with confirmation and/or more people to make the entrants 18. If we end up with another bad number in the end then I'll drop out and take some kind of E4 role.

Let's set the date for the Challenge Cup tourney as Sunday the 17th to give plenty of time. If we still have a bad number by then then we could have a completely disorganized CC orgy{as an alternative to me deviating} where anyone can jump in. If you have a problem with that date, give some alternatives.

So wait...I'm glad I checked this. Is this CC only, or is it also allowing Teams? And the 17th is set in stone? Lemme know, so I cna make sure no random days of work appear on that day.

The date is nowhere near carved in stone.

And as for the CC thing, the CC tourney is completely separate from the main game. It probably won't be a CC tourney so much as an uncontrollable orgy of CC, like HSW said.

just wanted to note that I don't think I'll be able to make it to CC, due to finals and other stuff

...(ignoring my still-lingering uncertainty about joining other parts of the NB tournament) if anything is scheduled before whenever the end of my Christmas break will be (don't know the date off the top of my head atm), then I'm out once again, since I won't have NB on the comp that has connection to the internet.
