So in other words, people will think 3rd party characters are more 'Nintendo' then the Fire Emblem characters or the Ice Climbers for the sole fact that they recgonize the 3rd party characters.
That makes sense for suck petty logic. >_>
On the grounds that western players actually GREW UP with those characters, and not random obscure Japanese character #3546, yes, yes it would seem that way. Regardless of how true Nintendo characters they are, there is such a thing as TOO obscure.
Of course, Fire Emblem has since seen a surge of popularity in the West, so it's all a moot point, but still.
So they should just say they are more reconginable (sp) then.
I recognize Mario better than I do NiGHTS. But that doesn't mean that I will think Mario is a more 'Sega' character. >_>

Funny you say that V2, because there's a myspace Sega group and one of the topics is "What's your favorite Sega[and going by the O.P. list and common knowledge i'd think, he was referring to Sega produced game...not game appearing on a Sega console] game?". By the 4th and 5th post people were putting Mortal Kombat[Genesis] and stuff like that. u_u Anyway Dr. Wright looks like he could provide some excitement.

Mega Man characters
lol wut?
oh i c wut u did thar....
Dr. Wiley.Dr. Wright. Close but different. Very much so. Hahah
The character was originally renamed "Wright" in the United States because Capcom of America thought that the Japanese had tried to imitate American names unsuccessfully (this is also why Wily is often confused as "Wiley"). Dr. Light has been called by his Japanese name only once in the English releases, in Mega Man 3 (NES, 1990).
Wait, it updates at three? I thought it updated at five. o.o
Anyway, I expect there'll be bigger news today than bumpers, given Nintendo's conference and all...
Flippers were annoying, but at least that thing is pretty.
Yeah, I didn't miss the removal of it in SSBM. Still, at least it can be set in midair this time. Might be more strategically interesting. :0
The flippers were my most hated item in the original SSB, so I loathe its return.
Anyway, I'm trying to keep the lowest of expectations towards the game. All I'm expecting today is the release date being announced. That's it.
Oh, and SH. The updates on Smash DOJO always come at 2 am central time, so yeah.
EDIT: MARK DECEMBER 3RD ON YOUR CALENDARS. NAO!!
I want EU release date.
NoE would be stupid not to get Brawl out in time for christmas, though we're getting Nintendo games ~6 months after the US gets them, and Brawl's UK site says nothing about a 2007 release, unlike the US site.
Nintendo of Europe's article on Brawl says it will be released in 2007 (look at the bottom) so it's hard to say.
Oh and DK is also confirmed for the game. He was in a little clip in one of the trailers during the conference being hit by Bowser.

Fix'd.

Fixaga
*cookie to whoever gets the reference. lol*
I hope you are not talking about the -aga reference.
I really do.
Do you want a cookie or not? So what game was the -aga suffix from? 😛
It's Battletoads, right?
No lol
Hahaha wow, thanks Psx. =P But yes the bumper, forgot about it actually. Sounds a bit better this time, I think...I guess. Nintendo conference today you say SH. Awesome. Can't wait to hear what comes out of that.

Yeah, that was it. The thing happened around noon EST earlier today, you are aware?
Heh see what happened was I somehow accidently posted that in the Soul Calibur topic and I just C&Ped it here...obviously without the needed editing. >_< But yes i'm aware. What about, Novermber 12, huh, huh? lol
DK is teh sexy. o.o
EDIT:
DAMN IT
Link was "playing chef" with someone. lol
No E3 2007 trailer makes me wanna cry.... Oh well, let us hope that the daily updates can be amazing now and then.
~T2K
See how Donkey Kong actually looks like he has fur there? Needs to be done with Sonic characters.
Hahaha eww no way dude. Then they'd look somewhat realistic...that's scary. o_0
Well, obviously to a lesser degree, but it would still look way better than plastic action figure models IMHO
New update: Smashville (ANIMAL CROSSING STAGE)
Notice the icon. It's official. An Animal Crossing character is PLAYABLE.
Another flat and boring stage. Yippie!
That Animal Crossing stage looks awesome.
Again Craig. Blame the f***ing self proclaimed pros.
Though I will be playing that stage on a Saturday on 8PM
Hahaha yea I noticed that icon too. Sweet. But yea Craig , it's flat, but the scenery is nice. Not to mention the background characters and if that live performance thing is for real that's frickin' sweet. That's insanely incredible. =] Yay! Btw, I agree Box...the fur would be better than action figure Sonic.
♥ @ the addition of K.K. Slider at 8 pm. The background of the stage is nice, but unless the time changes somehow affect battle, it looks pretty bland.
It's funny because I go to SSB forums and they all LOVE these stages and HATE stages like Hyrule Temple or Big Blue. Everywhere else, I get the opposite reaction. But yeah, blame the self-proclaimed pros for this. Also don't forget that there are only 6 stages so far that seem bland, out of a huge amount that Melee won't even compare to.
Apparently, wanting to have fun without a bunch of distracting effects that get in the way makes you a 'self-proclaimed pro', whatever the hell that means.
You learn something new every day 😀
I had a feeling you'd say something like that right after I made my post.
Darn it, I'm not asking for a monopoly. In Melee all I really have and care about is Big Blue and Hyrule Castle.
Give me details for one concept stage and I'll shut up forever.
One's all I need.
Well, the Sunshine stage at least lands by the fountain near the volcano, which should add at least a FEW slopes to that stage... if I recall correctly, anyway.
If online exists in this game (It's not been officially announced yet!!!), how will the Animal Crossing stage work? If you're playing across different timezones you'll be seeing different things on the stage (not that that should affect gameplay I should think, but the fact remains)
Goes by the host's time I would assume
BTW, here's a quote that rings very true:
Zeta @ The GHZ:
Also, seeing Solid Snake in an Animal Crossing town will be the weirdest sight of any game ever.
Yea THS I was wondering that as well, but I believe Wonder got it right. Host's time i'm sure. And Solid in a AC town, very funny indeed. lol
Roy Campbell: Snake, I have a new mission for you... You must assassinate... TOM NOOK
Tom Nook cannot be killed.
If you strike him down, he will demand more money than you can possibly imagine.
