Smash Brothers supports Wi-Fi play, with friends OR random strangers. Ooooer.
I am very much in favor of their direction for "everyone" play.
Remove the SERIOUS BUSINESS factor and it's just fun. Sure, it'll feel like playing high level AI, but I'm sure enough people will own the game that playing happy fun friends matches will provide the good old 
charm.
Plus, I demand Skype conferences during matches using our PCs.
The tantilizing hint of other modes using wifi also sounds really fun. DDD
I'm very happy that they finally announced Wi-Fi play, this is going to make the game even bigger; and it shows that Nintendo is listening to people demanding more on-line games.

The Cypher seems really tacked on. Like nobody could come up with a good idea for a third jump for him and were just like "Hey, Cyphers fly! Have him ride one!"
