I'm guessing that from this update King Dedede is a playable character right from the start and not an unlockable. That just seems a bit... off to me. 3 Kirby characters as unlockables from the start, but no confirmation of an F-Zero character yet? (That is, unless, King Dedede is unlocked after Event 1 is cleared but I somehow doubt it)

Today's Update:
Some Melee stages are back, including their old music.
Adding Great Palace to the Zelda II Temple theme is WIN. I hope the other returning stage songs follow suit.
I'm sure ol' CF will be in. They wouldn't downgrade him to assistant trophy, would they?
Also returning Melee stages, that threw me for a loop. Especially its flagship example, the Temple...had to do a double look for a minute. I figured what was going to happen was that Hyrule Castle from the original 64 version would replace it in Brawl. Who knows, it might still be in the game.
I'm really hoping that if any past stage returns, it's the Starfox one from the N64 version of Smash Bros. The memories of endlessly playing on that stage... <3

Really pumped about seeing old stages return. Hoping for Poke Floats.
Why the N64 version of that StarFox stage? Why does everyone want the N64 version? We already have a space StarFox stage, and Corneria is the exact same as Sector Z only with a different, more unique backdrop, so I'd easily prefer Corneria over Sector Z...
Hmmm...Sector Z and Hyrule Castle please. 
But yes very nice to see old stages are returning. I want Sector Z, SH, because I haven't seen it in ages. I do remember spending countless weeks on that level though.
I don't really remember that level to well... But then again, I have horrible memory...
Except you HAVE seen it recently. It took place on the surface of a planet and went by the name "Corneria".
*shrugs* Sector Z just felt a bit bigger. Admittedly, it was probably the characters were so slow that it simply took them so long to traverse across the whole stage.
I also didn't really like how complicated and busy Corneria's background was.
😛 No, no SH. Sector Z wasn't-* shot* I liked the background for Sector Z more, I think. Besides, if they redid it now...they could go crazy was some intergalatic effects and whatnot.
But, in terms of total scale compared to the characters, the Great Fox of Sector Z was bigger than the Great Fox of Corneria. That, and the camera hang back more in Sector Z, increasing the perception of massive size.
It'd be nice if they brought back the original sized Great Fox with the player able to choose if they want Sector Z or Corneria, or just cycle through both backgrounds.
One level from the N64 days I really want to see return is Hyrule Castle, loved that level.

The stalactites make me think of Angel Island
I liked all of the original Smash Bros. stages. They were all different, large, and original. Now there just seems to be too many small stages, and all of them are similar with one main platform on the bottom and smaller ones sticking out anywhere else. That leaves little leverage, and too many opponents on the main platform because the others are too small to stay on for too long.

Also there fact that he mention "more characters that you can imagine" means we might get Sonic another character as playable too.
