I would be disappointed that she doesn't really look too different, but I guess you can't make Sheik look much cooler than she already does. The spiked ponytail is a nice touch.
She's definitely going to be nerfed; it's just a question of how badly. I think they'll make her like Metaknight - fast with easy to perform combos but no kill moves, giving Zelda a role to play. They might also add a Pokemon Trainer stamina system for Sheik alone if they feel like quenching the bloodthirst of ravenous diehards.
Though it might have been better to separate them, I'm glad they're still one character, if only because I've made a habit of whipping Sheik out just to use her taunt. Zelda's new taunts still don't cut it.
I don't think I should find this screen funny, but I do. I really really do.
Edit: Oh, and I hope the knife comes into play somehow rather than being a leftover from TP's backstage.

Crossdressers are crossdressers, regardless of gender. Infact, they're their own gender. Like hermaphrodites, only less confusing.

I doubt he'd be in as a playable character because, if he was, he'd be a heavy character sword user, of which the bill has already been fitted by Ike who represents those two games well enough as it is. I'd far prefer Michaiah solely for diversity (she'd be a light weight character and use magic attacks. Oh, and it'd be another female! <3)

Isn't Dark Samus... the same as normal Samus? I mean, sure the visor would look a little different, and she'd have the black paint job... but other than that?
Also, three different Samuses (Sami?) would freak me out. Like that white DK.
And that is the reason why Dark Samus won't be in the game.

First off, Dark Samus has several abilities that Samus doesn't. Seriously, have any of you played Corruption? Second, I was talking about Dark Knight from Illusion of Gaia, a VERY old Nintendo game. Him and Ameiba would be good.

Would never happen @ Hyper... Smash Bros is too big of a franchise for Nintendo. Hell, Melee was a Cube sell, even years after it's release.

But yea...if Brawl is to the Wii as Melee was to the GC....and considering how many people already have the Wii...if the # of consoles sold increases the same as it did with the GC...wow. WOW!

Hmmmm... I'd be happy if the thing was true, but I'm still doubtful. Back when Melee was in development, Mother 3 had been canceled on the N64 (happened in Aug 2000). Mother 3 was finally announced for the GBA in 2003.
That and the numbers seem to be bolded...
