Todays update brought us amazing information on playable characters! ...Mario and Link. Looks like we're gonna go through the ones we know first.
I'm not that surprised, but if we do it two at a time, then this could go faster than expected.

Shadic gets it. Today was the revealing of the Gooey Bomb. And that was it. A lone item.
This has to be the most exciting thing Sakurai has revealed so far, IMO. Tomorrow will be the last update of the week, so I'm going to assume this time that we'll be getting a Game Mode, since that's one of the only categories left closed.
The possibilities of the Gooey Bomb in 4 way matches are endless.

What's even scarier about Gyser's comparison is that the Cho Aniki composer was among those listed in the big musicians list. 😐
Reading it again, it says you can control the curves of the arrow's trajectories...it's making me think that it would be similar to Link's boomerang.

Tourney's? I've been in at least 6 and usually lost badly because I didn't have a Wii or Gamecube to practice on (I could beat people but my god mode at Smash would end after that one kill).
It's just fun playing with weapons against the computer, free for all with 99 lives...

Todays update ladies and gentlemen, was Pits up-special and regular special moves, the "Wings Of Icarus" and "Palutena Arrow" respectively.
Yep yep...I guess this is like his "B-button" move. If they do this for every character we'll have a ton of info and updates to look forward to. Pit's normal attack looks sweet. Now I see how the trajectory thing works in. "Wings of Icarus" could be lots of fun.
I hope they added more special move commands for every character, just like in Melee.
How though. Melee used all cardinal directions and the B button. What else could they do? lol Then again it is Nintendo...i'm sure they'll think of something.

Todays update was of great importance. Remember the huge attacks we saw in the trailer? This is them. The Final Smash.
The final smash, if I'm reading this right, can only be performed once, and only after obtaining an item known as the Smash Ball, which seems like it will be rare.
This update also covers Marios Final Smash, known as the Mario Finale.
About time Sakurai covered those.
Heck freckin' yea. Final Smash. Mario's Finale looks awesome. I can see this Smash Balls being quite like the Pok balls of the previous games....everyone's going to go after them. lol Great update today.
Todays update fills me with glee, as something I beleived to be wrong with Melee is fixed. You can now MOVE and JUMP while shooting items such as the Super Scope. Huzzah!

This is your local updater speaking. Todays update features a new item known as the Cracker Launcher. From the moment you pick one up, it will fire off fire crackers until it runs out. You can aim the launcher at different angles by titling the control stick.
Be safe and sane when playing with fireworks.
Damn it! I was wanting to be the first one who announced the Cracker Launcher!
Oh well. Anyways, it sounds pretty badass. I can tell Sakurai is obsessed with explosives already.

It's mostly due to my love of blue, purple, and explosions, but I find this image to be absolutely beautiful.
Yea Shadic no one can beat Gyser to the punch. =P This item will be a cool one to have around. It'll bring even more madness to the table. I agree HSW...magnificent.
And yet most of this won't see the light of day in tournaments...man this sounds like a fun weapon to use.
They should have a weapon that incorporates the Boos though...Boos are awesome.

UPDATE!!!
New stage! DELFINO PLAZA FROM SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE!!! It looks like another floating stage, where you're on a huge platform that hovers around the familiar setting, then it lands onto a random place. Apparently it has different flight paths.
