In case anybody here doesn't know, pretty much every character on Sonic Channel is in Brawl as a sticker.

Could the people experienced in Melee tell me if I can get by using shield+attack and not using a grab button? That's what I'm doing atm and I rarely get grabs, but how important are they?

In Melee I used to grab without shielding a lot, but now all my grabs are straight out of shield. Grabs aren't as good since they aren't a guaranteed setup for anything anymore{with exceptions} so you should be fine just using shieldgrabs.

As HSW pointed out, Vec, grabs aren't as good as they used to be, and simply amount to minorly inconveniencing the person grabbed. That said, much about the shield works with discouraging effectiveness, with shield grabbing being one element. If you have the GC controller, you can tilt up on the C-stick while holding your shield to perform an automatic up-smash. While dashing, you can lightly tap your shield button and you'll continue sliding forward slightly as your shield goes up, lest you start running headlong into a Falcon Punch or some other calamitous attack. You can even pull your up-B out of shield in the same manner as up-smashing out of shield (highly useful for characters like Link, Marth, Ike, Bowser, Squirtle, to name a few with potent attacks).

Cut music?

This makes me angry and happy all at once - I would've LOVED "You Can Do Anything" and "Main Theme (Sons of Liberty)" to have been in there, but now it's implied that that just won't happen.

But wasn't "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms" in there already? I mean, sure, not the MP3 they have there, but I definitely recall seeing it in some YouTube video back around the Japanese release. My time on the generic CD Factory stage I made hasn't yielded it yet, mind, but I'm sure it's coming.

In fact, speaking of the MP3s there, where the hell did he get them? IIRC these tunes weren't present on the disc. At all.

Shadow Hog, I thought that was a fan-made remix that they had just shoved into the video. Of course, I could be thinking of something totally different completely.

I haven't gotten it at all, and I'm sure the only song I have left to gain in the game is Bob-Omb Battlefield (as my CD Factory yields no more cds), and certain... things I've obtained through the internet seem to point to signs that that song did not make it into the final cut.

So all they did was put fan-remixes to compensate for the tracks of what would have been. At least, that's what it's vaguely saying. >.>

Then again, they could of used the code of the final game and found it through there. But I'm not entirely sure.

Sonic's trophy isn't anything that interesting. It's him turning into Super Sonic, with the seven Chaos Emeralds floating around him in a circle. If you've ever seen any Brawl videos in which he does this, or, Christ, ever seen Super Sonic before, you've seen his trophy.

Snake's, though, I've yet to get.

I still want to see their version though, even though I have seen Super Sonic several times in my life. I have plans for it.

Also, I did NOT know that there were golden hammers inside some of these boxes. I never noticed them until today-and so I already lost 2 (since of course they give you one after you beat the SSE and slow people like me don't even notice.) I see two (500 Ko's adn 30 brawls) but umm, what's the 5th one.

Simply because there's no way in the world I'm beating 10 people in Cruel Brawl. I was lucky to get 5. That and that whole lvl 5 Target Smash Time shot or All Start on Intense might be the next to go-since of course they won't let me break open the Boss Battle Intense box -.- Dun really wanna deal with Tabuu gayness 3 wave insta death...

Dude....the 5 people in Cruel Brawl is sick nasty. Basically what they did was switched the tables. You're as light as they usually are and they're about they're correct weights. But all of the challenges!? Seriously man. We have lives. Give by about 2011 and i'll have them done. 😛

Tabuu's three wave attack is surprisingly easy to dodge once you've gotten the timing for it. Simply spot dodge the instant the circles are about to hit you. After a little practice you'll get it down perfectly, and so by that time that attack is probably the easiest to avoid.

Use Jigglypuff/Kirby and float at the bottom of the stage back and forth for the Cruel Brawl challenges.

I remember using a Golden Hammer purely by random and luckily hitting the 'Clear 100 Man Melee with all characters'. Not that's its neccessarily hard but seriously time consuming, so 😀 at that.

Took me a while to realize the three wave attack could be dodged in the first place when originally facing him^^; (was trying to see if Zelda/Shiek transformation or Pokemon change would work to dodge all three at once )

Currently been working on and off on trying to clear Boss Battle on Intense. Did manage to clear all the "shortest times" for Targets, which sorta surprised me since I normally don't do much with that.

Overall really enjoying this game^^

Alright so like...in the credits did anyone see where Suda 51 was listed in there? I wonder why...I don't recall any of their stuff in the game. Then again, I don't know much of their stuff. I was thinking NOA may have thrown them in there to hold off Americans for the release of Brawl...because pretty much everyone i've talked to has said, "Yea it was a fun game...definitely helped past time until Brawl came out." XD
