Final Destination was cool at first. Then everyone I knew that played Smash only wanted to play that stage. Then FD got boring to play. 
It's not even completey fair either. A spamming Fox, Falco, and Samus will run away from you and start spamming

Final Destination sucks only because it's a plain stage. And because I always got my tail handed it to me there so I might be a bit biased...
I do kick ass. But that doesn't mean it's not annoying dealing with that.
Hahah heck yea Pach. You tell 'em! =P The stage looks pretty awesome, IMO. Yea it is rather compact though. Personally I thought FD's environment was neat, but the stage itself got kinda old for me.
I love Final Destination. Where else can I kick ass in a 30 minute match between myself and 3 other dumb lv. 9 CPU's? Heh, heh, heh... *shot*
I wonder if Ridley might become a playable character, or you have to fight him during Adventure mode, judging from the nice bit of music. 😀

I didn't realize THIS song was Ridley's theme. That's awesome. I always get the thrills during this song while trying to escape Planet Zebes or escape the space station in Fusion. It doesn't raise his chances of being playable, but it definitely raises his chances of being IN the game, at least, maybe like Kraid in a stage or a collectible. I personally hope he's playable though.
Barrels and Crates. 
Not an amazing update overall but certainly one I liked. I enjoy the idea to make them look different based on the stages they're on and the ones with wheels could be really fun to do nN
I wonder if you could actually push them rather than have them randomly move down slopes. Pushing them with the hope of a bomb inside and it actually exploding = win.
Hahah yea crates and barrels. You'd think i'd be disappointed by an update to items that are obviously in the game, but no I actually didn't mind it. I like how the appearance of them change and how some have wheels. lol That's a nice scenario Pach. And the level with the futuristic boxes...could that possibly be a Star Fox level? The surroundings remind me of the Great Fox[or whatever it's called].

You know what..I never did unlock that 2nd F-Zero level or the Pok Floats level. Anyone remember how to unlock those? I can always check uot GameFaqs I know, just thought i'd ask anyway.

It's not hours that count, it's individual games. To get the extra Earthbound level, Pok Floats, Big Blue and Brinstar Depths, you have to play 200 games (you earn one stage for every 50). If you really play as much as you say you do, I'm surprised you don't already have them; I can unlock all four in a couple of hours of extremely brief one-life Super-Sudden-Death low-handicap fights against a bunch of Jigglypuffs (seriously, the matches scarcely last five seconds)...
Well then there's my problem. Usually what I would do was put no time limit and play for 30 mins to an hour. Heh. I do more 5 minute matches now though. I guess i'll take your strategy and try it out. Thanks SH.

Here's what you do: play as whoever you want but pick Ness. Set it to Stock and one life. Pick the DK stage (the one without the dreaded DK rap). Position yourself on the far left platform. Wait for Ness to come over, overjump and kill himself. Rinse and Repeat. To be fair, I got it by just playing a lot, a lot of matches...usually the 20 minute affair or 99 lives.

Todays's update consists of the lovely Samus. Nothing spectacularly new.
Metroid Prime Samus ftw. Sakurai is outdoing himself with the incredible detail he's putting in. Also note that Samus has gone through a DRASTIC change in appearance since when we saw her in the E3 trailer last year.

I agree with most of your list V2, except for a few. I highly doubt we'll be seeing Waluigi, Toad, Petey Pirahna, or Kamek. That's just adding more to a franchise that has enough characters as it is. Bowser Jr. is the only acceptable addition that I see who has a high chance of making it in.
As of right now, Diddy is definitely in the game. There's no reason why he shouldn't. He's the 2nd most popular character in the DK franchise, has been in since the beginning, and has appeared a lot more lately (like with Mario Strikers). Dixie, I'm not so sure. I personally want K. Rool in, because we need more villains.
I doubt we'll be seeing Vaati or Midna (I don't mind Midna though). I honestly think we'll be keeping the same cast of Zelda characters. However, I believe that all the Zelda characters are going for their TP designs, so that could mean Sheik will be getting the cut. Ganondorf could hopefully be given a new moveset instead of being rushed into the game like he was in Melee. Young Link would probably be replaced with WW Link, because he would represent the other portion of the Zelda franchise. Know what I mean?

I could care less about Fire Emblem, but I believe that Ike has a chance of making it in, due to his popularity. Roy will probably get booted as well.
I doubt we'll be getting Mother 2 characters in this game. I also doubt we'll not be seeing Ness too. Ness wasn't even supposed to be in Melee, because Sakurai was planning to use Lucas to represent the Mother franchise instead. However, that was when Mother 3 was scheduled to come out on the N64, and it unfortunately never released then. Therefore, Ness got it lucky and appeared in Melee. Now that Mother 3 came out last year, and was a hit in Japan, Sakurai will probably get to do what he wants this time, and exchange Ness with Lucas.
I agree with Wolf and Krystal. Krystal would be unique with her staff, IMO.
I like Little Mac too, but I would like to see other retro characters too, like Balloon Fighter (who was also supposed to be in Melee).
The third party characters you mentioned are those who I agree with. Not sure about Geno, although I know he placed high on Sakurai's poll last year.
Bowser Jr. makes no @#%$ sense. Everyone hates him, but Nintendo insists on putting him in EVERYTHING.
Also Lloyd Irving would still make me buy this game really hard.
The ONLY reason people hated him is that he 'replaced' the Koopalings. Now if Bowser Jr came first and he was replaced by the Koopalings, it would be reverse.

I do verily say, good chap, that the blokes down at Nintendo seem to use this most unsavory Bowser Jr. character quite frequently.
Furthermore, it is evident that a great many people, myself included, have quite a distaste for said character as a result, and feel he is most shallow and devoid of character indeed.

We'd probably get something incredibly obscure as a final unlockable new character to balance any fan favorites added to the lineup, in the tradition of Ness (SSB) and Mr. Game and Watch (SSB:M). Well, not so much Ness.
I believe someone mentioned Doshin the Giant earlier? If not, I just did. Or perhaps the fly-swatter from the Gnat Attack! minigame that was in Mario Paint? Something along those lines.
Actually, Flyswatter would probably make a pretty good Master Hand-esque mini-boss.
