A new Wii channel was just randomly added today with no prior mentioning of it. It's called Everybody Votes, and its a channel where you can vote to a variety of polls both within your own country and across the world. Like, "Which do you prefer? Cats or dogs?"
You can then also vote to see which one you think will be voted for more then the others, and then once the results are in you'll be tallied with how well your thinking relates to public opinion and such.
One of the best new features is the ability to suggest a question to Nintendo each day, which could maybe come up as a poll on the channel in the future. I suggested "Who would win in a fight? A pirate or a ninja?"
Anybody else with a Wii, what are your thoughts on this new channel?
I noticed it earlier this morning and downloaded it. It seemed at first to be the most random and completely unexpected things for nintendo to do, not even hints that a new channel would soon appear or anything :O
Can't wait to get home. This sounds like my kind of quirk.
It'd be cool if you gained like 1 star point for every time you voted, but we can't have everything, I guess.
= @ other Nintendo's giving out points to redeem stuff = Damn you NOA!
Downloaded the channel last night. My first question was "Do you think Mother 3 should go up on the VC? y/n" Nintendo just opened another way to let us Earthbound fanatics plead for our games
I think it might be a cool way to tell Nintendo what gamers want and such, and it's a pretty cool idea too.
I approve.
Oh yes, this rocks. I asked what game are you looking forward to the most? MK:Armageddon or SSBB. This channel has potential.
I'd get it, but my Wii won't download the latest update past 15% and the Wii Shop Channel only works intermittently. All because the connection sucks here. Seems like I'm the only one with this problem, too. Oh well.
Yeah I got this Channel. I like it. Nice nad cool.
>> >>Now when Super Metroid comes out on VC-THEN we'll be happy campers here. DKC will do for now though..
People have already figured out how to hack the polls into letting you vote more than once, sadly (the hack being as simple as turning your Wii's clock forward a day), so a good idea has just been completely compromised.
Hmmm...how do you know about this SH. Huh? HUH!? >_>
Joystiq posted it, of course.
Right...well that sucks. Hackers need to be put sent off to Latvia..where there are no videogames. *shot* I wouldn't know, to tell you the truth. It's just one of those countires that you don't hear alot about I suppose. =P
