In a Vector eventually

😛

yeah... Possibly by years end?

This is kinda like the little extra's Nintendo included in the Oracle of Seasons/Time GBC/GBA games...

That article is from December. Less than a month later...

www.1up.com/do/newsStory?...6743&did=1

Nintendo dismisses the rumor.

People have been theorizing about this for months. I think there's a decent chance it might be true, but who knows for sure?

Right, it's definitely from December. Which is obviously why it has today's date on it and mentions Miyamoto's recent knighting at France.

Dirk, I'd hate to say you're wrong, but (from your own article)

Quote:

noting that Nintendo has neither confirmed nor denied the possibility of the Twilight Princess utilizing the Revolution controller.

And the article hypershadow77 posted is dated 03/15/2006...

IGN also posted an article on this issue , which can be found here.

Although to tell you the truth, I thought Nintendo HAD said there would be no special features...

EDIT: JYNX! @ ShadowHog

You're both right. I was reading the wrong article. And I have no idea how that happened. I apologize.

In any case, as I said before, I was half-expecting this to be true.

Yeah, it is a no-brainer for Nintendo... It justifies the release of TP for GameCube. Those fans who went out and bought a Cube just for TP aren't getting ripped off, and it also builds incentive for gamers to buy a Revolution. This could be the title that convinces people why the Revolution is necessary, and it's not even a Revo game.

at this point it might as well be a revolution game.

but i am looking forward to it on the gamecube.

More good news to my ears!

I practically need a revolution for the Gamecube capabilities since my Cube has been busted up half-way since day 1.

As long as it still comes out on Gamecube, I have no quarrels on it being a Revolution game either.

I just hope there isn't any major content that GC users will be missing out of because of this.

Apparently confirmed by Miyamoto himself.

I'm all for Revolution exclusive content, there are so many things that the new pad could offer Zelda that it would be bliss to get a small sample of that. Still, I'm glad it's still a Gamecube title rather than a full Revo exclusive, that way all fans can be happy.

It says in the articles that its release is still dated at April, but last time I went into a games shopc they told me it had been newly dated for the END OF THIS YEAR!

Someone please put the record straight...

Isn't the new Zelda supposed to have a fishing mode like in OoT? If it does, using the revo controller to fish would be the perfect way to utilise the new controller.

And I suppose you could use the controller for sword slashing mini games, but i think the fishing mode would work best.

Nothing official yet CKN, but I'm sure the game is coming out later... Like November-ish...

And I think OTB could be on to something... I think I read something in a Nintendo Power about the new fishing game thing... I'd hope the controller is used for more than that though... I hate fishing.

....but it could also be used for the other general things, mostly involving the First Person view mode like using the Hookshot or bow and arrow. If this were Wind Waker, you could use the pad to compose with, though I think I'm just gonna wait and see what happens anyway. ^_^

Holy crap that looks complicated o.o;

Please forgive me if this was mentioned in another topic, but since this is still a Gamecube game, you will be able to use the Gamecube controller with this as well... right? Unless at this point, they're gonna scrap that idea and just release it for the revolution if they're adding all this new stuff?

Either way, it looks pretty freaking sweet. 😀

Supposedly, There will be two versions: a GC version (with standard controls), and a wii version (using the wii-mote).

Obviously you will still be able to play the GC version on the wii because of backwards compatibility, but it's just personal preference I guess. Lemme see if I can find the link.

So it is. Cheers Hiro.

And I'll probably get the GC version if using the motion sensor for the sword/bow and arrow is mandatory in the wii version, and I'd prefer using a GC controller I think.

I too would probobly prefer the GC controller, but hopefully it'll be awesome on both. ^^ (knowing me I'm going to get both versions).

I was hoping the game would just be backwards compatable on Wii and it'd somehow have the ability to take advantage of the remote. Looks like I was wrong.

I assume they're hoping to catch fans who'll get both versions.

I'm sad enough to consider that, myself.

I made an effort to play it on Wii today but the line was about a million miles long. I'll try to get at it tomorrow. E3 pics coming!
