Coverage from various JP blogs on the various games at the show:
Dissidia: Onion Knight is voiced by Jun Fukuyama, Cloud of Darkness is Masako Ikeda and Kefka is Shigeru Chiba. There appears to be a chessboard looking system, in the new trailer but it is unclear if this is an intermission mechanic between stages or if it is something similar to the Sphere and Licence grid systems. Might be more of the latter. Sephiroth is also seen in the realtime ingame engine for the first time. Golbez and Exdeath show up at the end and don't have any game or story scenes in the trailer. The demo on the show floor has Warrior of Light, Garland, Onion Knight, Tidus, Squall and Zidane as playable characters. When playing as Tidus, the Otherworld BGM is used. When you win a battle in Dissidia, you appear to gain equipment items, so although there is no equipment menu in the demo it's probably a part of the game.
The 3rd Birthday: The trailer starts with footage from both PE and PE2. There isn't much information on the actual trailer, so it's probably just CG footage from the wedding scene along with catch phrases and voice overs. It's the first trailer on the trailer reel, so maybe people just weren't paying much attention at first lol. It's definitely a continuation of PE and PE2 though, since the first two games are actually acknowledged in the trailer now.
Sigma Harmonics: Nothing new in the trailer, game's coming out this month anyway. The soundtrack (including Hirano Aya's theme song) will be out on 24th Sept for 2500yen.
FFVIIACC: 30 mins of new footage and other reedit/cleanups. I hate AC, so I'm not going to read what scenes are new or whatever. Don't really care, sorry. The only important thing is that it's going to come with the %@#*+%+ FFXIII demo wooo yeaaaah lolz. The PS3 bundle should sell really well in Japan too.
KH Coded: This is a cellphone game which isn't being moved to DS or PSP at this time so I doubt anyone cares. Coming out in Winter 2008 for those in Japan who care.
KH DS: The biggest new part of the trailer is actual footage of the new 14th member of the OrgXIII. It's a girl named Shion (Xion? I dunno, these names suck), and she looks and sounds a lot like Kairi. Blahblahblah. The BGM used is The Other Promise. Coming this Winter.
KH PSP: Woo hoo! Something I care about at last! Aqua's voice actress should please fans of Crisis Core, since Toyoguchi voiced Cissine too! Awesome, I can't wait. The trailer seems to confirm that Snow White will also be in the game in addition to Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. I love these oldschool Disney worlds, %*@@ yeah. The trailer ends with Aqua facing off with Maleficent in Dragon form. The BGM in the trailer is Fate of the Unknown. The demo had two chapters modes, the Terra one is set in Enchanted Kingdom (Sleeping Beauty?) while the Ventus chapter is Castle of Dreams (Cinderella?). The new enemies in BbS are called Unbirths. The Terra boss is Wheel Master, and the Ventus boss is Lucifer. Controls like KH on PS2 except with a power bar you can build up for specials. Seems pretty awesome, etc etc. I can't wait. 2009.
FFXIII: There was actual gameplay footage being shown outside of the trailer, and it's basically Lightning running around in a field. The design is said to be very much like FFXII but enhanced, which probably means it's wide open spaces and the camera is more of a third person camera rather than the fixed position overhead camera from FFX. There are NO battles in the footage, so this does not mean anything as far as encounters and battles go, just field stuff. The game also uses the 3D world a lot more naturally, like Lightning and her companions being able to jump twice their height, and there also appear to be a rolling move.
FFVersusXIII: The realtime footage shown is also test field movement footage. There's a scene outside the church, Olympus Collossium and a mountain path. Aside from the normal action movements, Versus also seems to have the Zero Shift ability from ZoE2, where you can jump and teleport forward quickly. Just like Nomura promised!
FFAgitoXIII: Another ambitious cellphone project that has been moved to the PSP. No cellphone or mobile info in sight, but it's for PSP now. The new trailer has more realtime footage and it looks much better than from last year apparently. The game is still the same as before, it's a school setting with themes of war and fantasy at the same time. Odin is shown in the trailer, and the game also seems to be going for a more action RPG system now instead of previously planned command based system. There've been speculation that this could very well be what S-E will use as their Monster Hunter Portable killer under the FFXIII branding now.
Lots of PSP love coming from SE. I think we have Capcom to thank for that. Hoping to see some leaked trailers on nicovideo or youtube soon.

So any News on when the portable KH games will be hitting the U.S. I mean I know 358/2 & coded both hit japan this winter. But BBS does't even hit japan til 09....so how long will we U.S. Fans have to wait. I mean if it weren't for the Manga & TCG i'd be dead from KH withdrawles by now! but non the less im still angsty!
Heard about this awesome news earlier. I can't wait to see the trailers of XIII & Versus XIII. Also excited to see that Agito XIII is coming to the PSP and we will now get the chance to play it.
Screw you Square for releasing the demo on the AC Blu Ray...which I will now probably buy.

IGN has footage from the show in a new video, mostly a KH fest but Dissidia and XIII is in there as well. Also scans from the newest Famitsu reveal more of the talked about scenes from KH: Birth by Sleep and KH: 358/2 Days. Also Dissidia's Onion Knight, master of multiple Job classes?
Damn, it's such a shame the only game I have a vague interest in (Dissidia) is on another a handheld I don't have. Same for PE3.

I Have this theroy about how Ven is connected to sora & roxas, I would post it...but it's long & complicated , if your interested i'll PM it to you, OH & I hope this is also obvious so im not spoiling, but Terra, is the one the becomes th eXehanort we know as ansem & Xemnas in the 1st few KH games isn't he? thats what ive heard, & man I like Aquas look, very nice!!!

However, it isn't definite what happens to Terra after the Birth By Sleep video's event takes place so it's just an unproven possible scenario as of now, though a likely one given the evidence.
Xion's name is confirmed earlier in the thread, I believe. I guess that means her real name was... Noi? Ion? Nio? Her ability to wield the Kingdom Key is also suspect...

New details from next week's Famitsu PS3 are coming out!
| Okay, looks like the issue due to be released on Tuesday has leaked in certain stores in Japan. Someone on 2ch has gotten a hold of the mag but info is still trickling in. Here's what we know so far:
- The FFXIII demo disc included with FFVIIACC will be a PS3 disc, it's not on a standard blu-ray movie disc. This is good news for people with Euro PS3s, since it'll probably mean the demo will work even if the movie is region locked. - There're 3 realtime screens of Agito XIII from the trailer, including a screen of Odin. - 3 pages worth of FFXIII screens and stuff, about 20 screens. There are realtime screens too apparently. - The FFXIII demo will be from the opening part of the game, and will be longer than FFVIIAC (longer than 90mins? -Knit cap guy (Mr.33cm); his name also has a weather based motif. -Twin tails girl has been through some tough times it seems. -Toriyama says every single new scene in the new FFXIII trailer is realtime. So I guess that wraps up speculation! - 4 pages on Versus, about 10 screens all realtime. - The world in Versus XIII worships a Shinigami and the Shinigami is designed by Amano - The cars and clothing seen in the trailers so far will probably change in design for the final game - The morale of the team is really high! OMG AGITO XIII: - They moved it to the PSP because they couldn't wait for cellphones to get more advanced lolz - The battle will be heavy on action but still sort of turn based. It will use an advanced version of Crisis Core's high speed ATB system. - Crisis Core was 1 player, but this time there will be multiple characters in the party. - Right now it supports Infrastructure multiplayer for up to 3 players. - Summons are part of the character growth system, and can also be controlled by players after summoning. |

EDIT: DKΣ3713 trailers for Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII are now out. Another CG fest, but vanilla XIII does show off some in-game footage near the end. Versus XIII gives off a weird Romeo & Juliet vibe. Guess that explains the Shakespeare quote.
Versus looks kick ass as always, even though there wasn't any gameplay. Sucks that it is looking so good, yet is so far away.
Verses XIII's visuals and locales remind me a lot of FFVII and VIII. I like 'em but I'll wait and see.
As of right now I'm mixed, I'll wait and see but I'm very interested.
