Again, I have no idea where to put my topic.
When I went into Game Stop yesterday, I got into a conversation with the sales manager there. On the topic of the Revolution, she said that most developers were refusing to make games for it because of some racial remarks that Nintendo had made towards Jews and African Americans. Even Sega was jumping ship, according to her.
I have no idea what's going on. Maybe it's because I haven't been surfing the web much lately due to my computer being sick. (FYI: I got it back today!!! ^_^) I'm hoping that somebody here could clear this up for me. And if there's already a topic about this, sorry, my bad, please close topic.
She's making crap up. While I've no doubt that Nintendo's made SOME racial slurs, I really doubt that they're what's being mentioned OR any worse than any OTHER company is guilty of.
Well there ARE things like Nintendo of Japan, America, Europe, and whatever else there may be. Maybe one of them are racist. XD

I haven't heard anything and it wouldn't be a factor in me not buying the Revolution. The lack of good quality games of late would be a factor...
A next gen Sonic game wont be enough, what else will come out on the revolution?
I mean, Zelda's coming out on the gamecube so I've got everything I need from Nintendo for the next 3 or 4 years after that...

I've never heard of these things either. I didn't even know Nintendo had a few "rascist slurs" as you call them...
Well, at least I stated that I didn't know if it were true or not, and that I was asking a community of people that tend to know more than me in this area whether they had heard this or not.
This one time, I saw a Nintendo DS throw a brick through the window of a gay bar. And then he made fun of latinos as he pounded back a bottle of Jack Daniels. True story.

The most extreme I can think of is that MAYBE somebody would misinterpret the way Nintendo handles Mario as the way they think of all Italians.

I would think if racism on the part of Nintendo caused many developers to not want to make games for their new system large sites such as IGN or Gamespot would have reported something. This would be a big story. If someone from Game Stop knew this I am sure they would as well.
Unless there is much stronger evidence it is safe to say that this claim is fake.

If that's as bad as it gets... Don't we ALL stereotype and be a racist (not to the extreme) sometimes? So, I think this is just crap, even if they were, it doesn't appear to be anything big.
