I've actually never played NMH, but I remember it being pretty popular around here so I decided to post THIS
I can't find anymore info but I'm sure this is good enough for now.
At first I was going to complain saying WE ALREADY HAVE A NMH TOPIC...
but omg AWESOME. <3 the first one. Hopefully they fix the game's many issues (crappy distance drawing, pointless job games, empty streets, TOO MUCH DRIVING).
And hopefully they throw MotionPlus in there for good measure
<3 Suda <3
yeah, I was just about to post that here. Can't wait for this. Loved the first, even with the flaws, still liked it a lot.
Just kind of hope that NMH DS is just a name and not another abreviation for a DS title. It must be Wii.
*is dead* *returns as spirit* My life...is wonderfabulous! And what snappy said...the first one...definitely my favorite Wii game and one of my all-time faves. I think i'll give it a few more playthroughs before this one comes out...but i'm guessing that'll be quite awhile anyway...so i've got time.
Edit: Yea seems it isn't slated til 2010 so...i'm super pumped! Scroll a little bit down from half way.
Nice find @ HS2003... That also confirms a Wii release
Nice one! Just what I wanted to read :D:D
Now I just play the waiting game. Failing that, I play Sonic Chronicles instead. Then waiting game.
Thanks Hiro! And yes Craig waiting game indeed. I'm thinking though...The King of Fighters Collection: Orochi Saga and Samurai Shodown Anthology should hold me off. : Oh and I suppose Sonic Unleashed. >_>
Holy crap, that is awhile. Sweet. So I'm guessing Travis is now going to be a huge target being number 1 and all, so we should expect new lower number people to attack him? Haven't got to see the trailer yet, since my comp is running really slow. V_V
edit: just seen the trailer, looking sweet. that new chick he is going up against looks pretty crazy herself.

No More Heroes is easily in my top 10 Wii games. Sure, it had a crappy overworld, but the combat system, characters, art direction and satirical nature more than made up for any flaws, making it one of my favorite games of 2007. I can't wait, especially since there are literally no other Wii games I'm looking forward to than The Conduit.
*gasp* I am officially in giddy mode. OFF-ICI-ALLY.

Hate to be a stickler but...unless you imported or live in Japan *whispers* it came out this year. And yea whoa...I TOTALLY forgot about The Conduit. Thank you for that refresher.
I meant 2008. Typos.
I can't wait for this, of all the Wii announcements so far this has got to be number...3!
Tatsunoko VS Capcom and Tales of Symphonia 2 are still ahead, but hey, they haven't had a title out earlier this year. 😛
Indeed Wesu, indeed. But tell me about it Robo...things are looking awesome. Woo hoo Go Wii!!
I've seen gameplay footage, of either this game, or one of the parts of this game series of No More Heroes on T.V., before already, so this is just a reminder as to why I'm already so anxious to play these games.

Oh believe me...it was the first one you saw. But yes man...the first one...is amazing. Last I saw though...it was still 50 bucks...so if you can find it cheaper then pick it up for sure.
IGN has a brief interview with Suda51 up, where he discusses the theme of the game, the subtitle, and the possibilities of WiiMotionPlus.
Heck yea man! I was totally just about to post this. I say give this game WiiMotionPlus...and we've got us a solid bestseller on our hands.
Thanks for the input HyperSonic2003, and Wesu, that was pretty helpful to me, in ways that I like.
I dunno if WiimotionPlus is a good idea. We've always wanted our Wiimote to be a lightsaber, but that would really require first person action and NMH doesn't have first person.
Not saying it wont be badass, I have faith it could, but I don't want Suda to screw with the stylings of the game to make fanboy fantasy come true. Plus my arm would get tired swinging that thing about all day...

Or you'd have a hulk sized right arm, and a puny left
You're welcome Spawn Warrior. *nods* But yea...Craig makes a point...hmmm maybe just use it for specific moments you know? Like during Dark Side modes and wrestling moves or something. *shrugs*
JOMG WUZ THAT YAHTZEE!!!!!!!!!!?????/////

(Yes, I know what No More Heroes is, thank you very much. I'm just kidding.)
I thought the first game bombed because Nintendo fanboys didn't buy it because it wasn't Mario or Zelda.
I thought the first game bombed because Nintendo fanboys didn't buy it because it wasn't Mario or Zelda.
Yea I am...it didn't sell incredibly well at first I don't think, but in the end I suppose it sold well enough. I heard it was a pretty big seller in the PAL regions though.
I wonder what made it a big seller there, but not somewhere else.
I thought the first game bombed because Nintendo fanboys didn't buy it because it wasn't Mario or Zelda.
No, it was because casual gamers didn't buy it because it wasn't Wii Sports or Wii Fit.
^I don't remember casual gamers crying that Nintendo isn't catering to them and then idiotically ignore the games that ARE catered towards them because it's not Mario or Zelda.
Wait...no, no casual gamers would be the ones that wanted the Wii Sports and Wii Fit. Hardcore gamers are the ones complaining[excluding myself ] about the influx of casual multiplayer party games coming to the Wii. So a non multiplayer game that is not Wii Sports or Wii Fit probably wouldn't be purchased by the casual gamers. Although I could see Nintendo fanboys not getting NMH for the reasons that you said, V2. You're both correct, I say.
Edit: Nothing too big but it seems Ubi will be picking this up again for publishing purposes. Let's hope they get together an actual ad campaign this time. 😛
Yeah, hardly heard or seen anything on the first when it came out.
Tell me about it man. I think since the first one ended up doing alot better than anyone thought it would, they'll promote DS to a much larger degree.
Nathan is #50?
...
Holy crap, that's a lot of bosses.
xD! Yea man! I'm betting there will be times when you fight multiple ranked fighters at a time...or many right after each other, without time to heal or anything. Hey...i'll take a Buy One Get 5 Free, anyday. Definitely if the fights cost anywhere near as much as the later ones in NMH1. 😛 Also...i'm willing to place my bet on Nathan being a reoccuring rival of Travis.
I want the five course meal! Me want! Me want!
That ending though...man. Classic Travis Touchdown. xD!
I admit it. I LOLed at the ending.
Haha! I'm so beyond hyped for this game now. It's like got some kind of euphoric effect on me at this point.
3. Travis' primary reason for taking on the United Assassins Association again is
This isn't a battle anymore...
XD! You said it Psx.
Suda claims the AI has been improved and enemies will now attack depending on their class and weapon, being ranged or more up in your face. They say the dual beam katana is pretty and the animation is suitably awesome with "effortless style". "It's a spectacle as much as a slaughter."
On secondary playable characters: They'll each have their own style and cool factor. Will Travis be overshadowed? Hardly. "He gets to pilot a giant robot! This lets you fight on a larger scale - there will be plenty more variety as well."
The game's city has been scaled back a little bit, improved visually with motion blue and HDR lighting. Suda says it's closer to the game he wanted to deliver originally. Edge says the city is a lot more lively and the streets more populated. He describes it as one-and-a-half times the original.
Regarding mini games: "The reason that I put these elements in is that it's a challenge to make a game," says Suda, "and so I want too make the player feel challenges to even play the game... Travis has to work..." it's a principle that, according to Suda, permeates his games.
On No More Heroes as a franchise: "I think this is the last NMH that is going to be developed on Wii. To expand NMH to new possibilities, we need a new platform. Wii is a great platform, but we've done everything we can with it now."
#@!% just got real
LOL! #@!% Got real real! Man oh man. This will be my game...I can see it. Like...candidate for new favorite. Giant robot!! AHHH! It's...too-much!
It's great to hear a developer saying when enough is enough. Realizing No More Heroes doesn't work anymore then what they did instead of unnecessary fishing out title after title is an admirable feat and gets my seal of approval.
That said, giant robot?! Dear Suda, please make Travis cry out, "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM!? THAT IS THE DRILL THAT PIERCES THE HEAVEN!" It would be awesome.
~XOXO, Neo Yi.

NEO YI
That is adorable. Awww...lol But yea, I love how he has put all of it into this final Wii title. He said there was nothing left he could do...and from the looks of it, yea he's correct.
Neo Yi is the current username for most of the stuff I go to (forums and whatnot). The one I have on MoFo is a REALLY, REAAAAAALLLLLLY old username I made waaaaaay back when I was a young 'un in the earlier parts of this decade. I only stuck with it because I got too lazy and sentiment to change into my current name.
"Neo" isn't from the Matrix, just to let you know. It's from the main villain from Crash Bandicoot. "Yi" is my actual surname.
But yea, I love how he has put all of it into this final Wii title. He said there was nothing left he could do...and from the looks of it, yea he's correct.
Now if only Square-Enix would take Suda's advice and stop punching out unnecessary retcons/prequels/whatever of their series. I don't care what happens to Zack! Here's what happens to him! He dies! Nicole Kidman is a ghost! It was his sled! The kid sees ghosts because there's one right in front of him the whole time! Darth Vadar is Luke's father! There, I just saved you the trouble of playing Crisis Core. (Though I heard the game is actually worth it).
Ahhh ok I see. Neo Cortex, eh? But Yi is your real surname. Awww...*melts*
XD! @ The Square Enix/Star Wars references.
Wow...that's a long @$$ trailer. My weekend...is going to be fantastic. Thank you Psx...thank you.
