Retailers (GAME/gamestop etc) will despise this system and hence promote it less/not sell it at all. Also if you lack the "fastish" internets then getting he latest games could be painful (especially since in some European regions where playstation systems sell well yet have slow bandwidth limited isps).

Well, other than a lack of money, I was waiting for this announcement before getting a new PSP, my old one is broke, and thankfully, I only have 3 PSP games and 1 demo disc. However, even though I was aware of the rumors of dl games only and thought I was ok with it, I'm now having mixed feelings. Even though I only have 3 games, I'm wondering will I have to redownload, and pay, for these games or will Sony have something that let's them know you have the physical game like typing in the bar code to redownload the UMDs you have without having to pay for it twice?

Also, what is that hole by the d-pad? Is it supposed to be where the thumbstick is or are they getting rid of the stick?

That would be nice if it's true and I pray it is. Heh, heh, yeah, I found out it was after I looked closely at the Go picture on Wikipedia. The stick on the Go looks rubbery to me.

Glad they decided to come out with a new PSP a year after I got the current one. Also, will you have to pay online for the game downloads?

*whistles* $249 pretty pricey ain't it? Hmm, still not sure if I'll get it. I mean, yeah, the 3000 is cheaper, but I'm not entirely sure I believe Sony when they say they're gonna make both the Go and 3000 at the same time. I mean Nintendo said the DS wasn't the GB's replacement but it has, and they've quit making the original when they released the Lite, as I'm sure they'll let the DSi replace the Lite sooner or later.

They'll probably have cards you can buy, like the WiiPoints cards Nintendo sells currently, if you're too chicken to do online purchasing directly.

In all fairness, the GBA did survive longer than most systems do after their successors are released. I would say the GBA/NDS/GCN Triple Pillar was at least as successful as the SNES/N64/GB Triple Pillar was during the mid-nineties.

Back to the topic at hand: I am thinking meh. No built-in backwards compatibility, rather anemic internal storage, slide-out instead of clamshell.

I hope Sony does not do like Nintendo is doing with the DSi and produce/license games that are only compatible with the PSP Go.
