I wonder how they'll explain off Phoenix's sweater, though... Currently, it has "<3 Ryu" on it, where "Ryu" is short for "Ryuichi Naruhodo", Phoenix's name in Japan. So, will they redraw it to say "<3 Phoenix", or will they rewrite the script to make an obvious Street Fighter reference (which, honestly, HAS to be done at some point - it's Capcom, people, they DO this kind of cross-referencing)?
Oh, and if AA3 comes over, that can only mean good things for AA4 - which, unlike the past AA games, wouldn't have to be ported, just translated.

Over at Joystiq, snippets were posted from an interview with Charles Bayfield, Capcom's Vice President of marketing. They say:
"With that, Bellfield likely confirms what we've suspected since Capcom launched it's Ace Attorney 3 contest last week -- the third Phoenix Wright adventure is likely being localized as we speak. English, that is."
This is still not official confirmation, but most people consider it likely that Capcom intends to announce plans for AA3 at the end of their promotional contest. Show your support!

Spoilers (Select To Read): He's now working at a bar playing poker against interested patrons and has apparently never lost a match. His official employment is as a pianist, and he claims to have been working there for seven years - so since not long after GS3.

I wonder if this would see a Japanese release. And if so, like PW2, whether it will be earlier, cheaper and have an English option included. If so, good news for importers (like myself!).
As it was said earlier in the thread, with the cult success of PW and its sequel, a westernised PW3 was practically inevitable. Hopefully this 'unofficial confirmation' has a shred of truth to it.
It might see a Japanese release, but I doubt it'd have an English option; I think Capcom wised up to people importing Justice for All early and losing them money. Notice how GS4 is English-less.
Also happy 12K to me.
I think GS4 is englishless simply for the fact they didn't want people to experience the GS story out of order, and since GS4 would be released before any GS3 DS release, that this would be the reason why.

Yeah, Capcom registered the copyright/trademark (one of the two) for Apollo Justice a while back, but we didn't know if it was confirmed. Court Records recently reported that it seems that way, though. Personally, I hate the name. At least Phoenix Wright flowed and seemed partially possible as a real life name, even if Phoenix is rare at best. Apollo Justice is just crap.

i didn't think/know Franzisca was in it o.o while i won't rule out the possibility, Capcom have a habit of sort of recapping during their trailers for PW games. Could be a poorly placed example of that.
Franziska's inclusion didn't seem to suggest recapping anything whatsoever. I'm expecting she'll be in it (thank you Capcom <3)
