If the latest rumors are to be believed, both Capcom and SEGA will reveal SEGA vs. Capcom: Great Clash Generation for the DS at TGS. The game would based as a "hybrid RPG-fighting game" with a release date scheduled for Q1 2009. The rumors also explain that SEGA would be the main developer alongside Dimps, with Capcom acting as a supervisor. The character roster is apparently unknown, though Mega Man and Sonic are expected to make an appearance. TGS begins this Thursday, so we'll know if this rumor holds any weight soon enough.
Please let it be real.
If they have Ryo Hazuki as a playable character I will buy this the day it comes out, assuming that it does come out.
A hybride rpg fighting game sounds kind of weird though. I'm having trouble try to uderstand that.
I really hope that this isn't made up garbage.
Dear 1992:
Hi there. I know it's been a while since we talked. Mostly because you've been gone so long. I miss you, man. We had some good times. Remember Sonic 2? I totally got to play that on the Sega Bus... and Sonic the Comic! Man, you totally got me hooked on that. Even after you went away I still kept reading, sometimes I pull them out today... ha. I had a website and everything. You should have seen it. I know you didn't really know anything about the net... but that's off topic.
Remember Street Fighter 2? I used to stand about in that fish and chips store by the war museum and just play and watch other people play. You gave me so much cool stuff which I cherised for a lifetime and then you just walked out and I never saw you again.
So I hear Sega and Capcom are doing a versus. If you see 2001, ask him how much I adored Marvel vs Capcom 2.
Anyway, hearing about Sega vs Capcom made me think about all the awesome times we had together and I thought I'd write.
I miss you, man. Hope you're doing well and that Gamesmaster with Dominik Diamond is still there.
We'll meet again someday. Until then. Keep cool and know I'll always love you, and feel the way we did in days gone by everytime I pull a hadoken or a spindash.

Forever yours,

There's just one problem with this game though... >_>

... Dear sir. Kindly refrain from your fetishes from this topic.
Back On Topic: I was wondering, but didn't Sammy buy SEGA last year. One would think if the rumors are true it would feature some Guilty Gear characters?
Scrap that, I rather have Sammy vs Capcom.

Hahahahah! Craigey! I cried when I saw "Dear 1992". XD But yea...Sega developing it...umm not so much. =/ Then again they did do M&S at the Olympics and I liked it alot actually. And Dimps is helping on it...and then it's on DS and most handheld games rock like helk! But this is like...epic...seriously. So glad I have a DS.
Capcom is all into these vs games, huh? I was hoping for a straight up fighter but we'll see if there's any more to this.
So would it be some sort of spiritual sequel to that Namco x Capcom game that never left Japan? But with more fighting?
The first steps towards a "Kingdom Sega" game? Awesome. Plus there will be zombies and Street Fighter characters.
Street Fighters of Rage?
I await the announcement that this is for Japan only.
Can I is has Segata Sanshiro/Dante team plz? A Hsien-Ko/Nei is fine too.
