RPG + dragons = a new Panzer Dragoon game?
Sega Nerds has more info about it including who working on it. The producer from Skies of Arcadia and sound composer from Shenmue. Interesting, very interesting.
The dragon does hint at Panzer Dragoon, but the music is totally differant. Most likely something new, but you never know.
This is the point where John destroys all your hopes for something Panzer Dragoon related... by saying Yakuza's japanese title is something along the lines of "Like a Dragon".
Oh, there is a picture of a very angular looking dragon on the site. Plus a date for more informations... 9/26.
But there isn't a 26th month...
Then assume it's the American dating standard and that they're talking September 26th, silly. I don't assume that it's the 9th of the 26th month whenever you write 26/9/2008!
Music may be similar somewhat, but the art design is about as far away from Panzer Dragoon as you can get. The first part with the white screen reminded me of Shenmue, actually... But the dragon silhouette doesn't look like anything I've ever seen, so.
Also, NES music? Really? Since when did Sega work with NES music? (And don't tell me that was the Master System - that was clearly the NES, right down to the Triangle Wave bass.)
"We're making RPG now!!" >_> But yea...sounded very LoZish. Hmm...whatever could it be? Thanks for the heads up Shad.
Got this link from Sega Nerds: The character designer's blog Comes with this interesting picture.
I'm still completely clueless to what this could be leading up to, but it must be a remake of somesort.
Interesting. Hopefully this turns out to be something good.
Shining Force remake? Or...yea. I want a new VO entry darnit! *wails*
So, its for the DS and is NOT a remake of anything. I was really hoping for a big rpg for the 360/PS3, but I guesse its not too bad.

Unfortunately, all of their Shining Force remakes have failed. Which disappoints me greatly.
Well, no, my understanding was that the Shining Force remake for the GBA came out quite nicely, although it wasn't particularly successful financially.
not a genre-defining blockbuster = fail
SEGA sure is taking a liking to DS RPGs lately, first World of Destruction, then Infinite Space with Platinum Games, then Phantasy Star 0, and now this.
Still, here's hoping they're all good at least, the DS has been a bit dull lately after all.
Oh yea I think I know what you're talking about Questern...those Sega Ages things or whatever. Apparently every game they did that way, was garbage. I can see a GBA remake being really good, though. And those for the news Robo. Game looks pretty neat. "Kill the dragon." Sounds simple[and oddly familiar] enough. 😛

Not completely true! The Space Harrier remake was still just as awesome as the original, even the remixed theme tune kicked ass!
Hmmm...Space Harrier. Ok...I could see that being good. Can't believe they messed up Outrun though...those losers. =(
An RPG made with the combined efforts of Rieko Kodama and Kazuya Niinou sound like hot stuff! I'll be keeping an eye on upcoming impressions on it.
The trailer looks kind of cool, except you don't really see much of a game in it.
