I've been wanting to sell a bunch of my old games to EB for awhile now, so I figure I might as well get around to doing it. However, I'm wondering what I'll even get for them since I've never done it before. I'm probably gonna sell around ten or so GC games. I also want to sell my old Game Boy Color and its games, but do would they even buy that? Also, can you trade in accessories like a Cubestand, memory cards, carrying cases, etc? If you know anything about this stuff, lemme know how much you got and all that jazz.
Yes, they will take most of that. However, knowing GameSpot (which now owns EB and all), you probably won't get a whole lot... definitely enough for a new game, I'd wager. Or at least most of one.
If this was done at my EB, then the only things we'd accept are the GC games, but even then, unless they are ALL new releases, you'd be looking at about $6-8 AUS per game. >>
I dont think that EB gives as much for your games as Gamestop, maybe they just dont give as much for your system. I took my old PS1 to EB and they said they would give me $5 for it. then I took it to Gamestop and they would give me $20. from then on I just took everything to gamestop, so maybe you should check around first.
Definitely shop around before you just take your games to one place...I prefer to sell my Games to EB...at least the old EB...I traded in roughly 15 games one time (Sonic Adventure DX and Mega Collection for GC...3 or 4 GBA titles, then a mess of GBC and GB games) and recieved close to $110 USD...This was about 3 years ago (I bought a SP!)... I know that here in Minnesota the video store Hollywood Video has a extension called Game Crazy, so that's another option for you, if your state (I'm taking a non-educated (should it be edumacated? ) guess that your in the states...)
Good luck...you'll need it
Or try unloading them on someone else who might buy them for a better price than the game stores...
Try smaller time companies. There was a place down in Gulfport (Katrina murdered them all. SHE KILLED THEM ALL, JIM!) that if I went to that place with that kinda loadout I'd easily break $150. They'll buy old current-gen games at no less than $15 and last-gen games for $5 or so. I loved this place.
Anyway look for smaller-time shops. They typically buy for more.

I hear ya, SX. During Christmas, I visited family near Bay St. Louis and Biloxi, and got a load of what happened to the places down there...
It's sad when we lose such wonderful places and lives. *takes hat off*
