Note to onlookers: If you have the gall to say "old lol" or something to that effect, I will gut you. With a warning. <3
Whenever the rhino appeared, I lol'd
Snake is old, lol

Fine then, I'll just call it obnoxious, useless and meaningless instead of old (which it is, ridiculously so).
HAY YOU GUYS REMEMBER WHEN STEVE BALMER SAID "DEVELOPERS" ALL THOSE TIMES HAHAHA GOOD LAUGHS
OR WHAT ABOUT THAT ZELDA SPACE WORLD VIDEO WITH THE REALISTIC GRAPHICS THAT WEREN'T IN THE NEXT ZELDA LOLLYLOPS
"Rink has glown up!"
Seriously guys, it's not like Sony has the market cornered on embarassing convention footage.
That's awesome... I remember watching part of that live and cracking up at the Ridge Racer part, particularly because the lack of crowd reaction from what I could tell.
aah,it sounds like some of you seem mindlessly brainwashed by Sony's new games machine... again.
oh, which apparently is also supposed to "replace the PC":
Phil Harrison, president of Sony Computer Entertainment's Worldwide Studios, has brazenly predicted that the PS3 will supplant the PC. ActionTrip has the story.
"We believe that the PS3 will be the place where our users play games, watch films, browse the Web, and use other [home] computer functions," said Harrison. "The PlayStation 3 is a computer. We do not need the PC."
I should point out, too, that Sony apparently "introduced real-time 3D graphics". Although, DOOM and Wolfenstein, Star Fox, Virtua Racing, and heck, maybe even Daytona USA et al. preceeded it...
It's no secret that Sony's PR is digging themselves into a grave here. It's whether they'll jump out of it or not that's the question. Prolly will. We'll just have to see.
Growler, Castor isn't "brainwashed"; he just likes Sony and has grown intolerant of anti-Sony stuff due to recent overexposure to anti-Sony bias{i assume}.

See, on pretty much any board on the Web the OP would get a warning for spamming and the thread would be locked. Why? Because it's worthless and it really doesn't matter if the OP's feelings are hurt when he is informed of this truth.
I liked the video, regardless of all. Thanks for sharing it, Growler.
It's not worthless because it's totally impossible to tell how many people on this forum have seen something that's considered old. This hasn't even been linked over here yet.
Besides that, applying the insensitive attitude to things rather than the sensitive attitude is inappropriate because the rules of this board are focused on there being a friendly atmosphere more than anything else.
Either way, my little deterrant statement wasn't based on anybody being potentially offended, but how outright stupid it is to call something old in the fashion I described.

Bingo. This constant hate cycle that runs the entireity of gaming media just annoys me to no end. The current cycle's been going since 2001 with Microsoft getting the hate first, then it went to Nintendo in 2003 and now it's at Sony's turn. And after Sony, the cycle will begin anew, like the world's dumbest snake eating its own tail. The predictability of it all is freakin' obnoxious.

That metaphor describes so many things its unreal. Most of these things pretain to human stupidity.

I think it's kind of unfair to label this as "anti-Sony", thus lumping it in with the same category as the "PSP SUCKS look it up on GOOGLE" kind of remarks that have been floating around. Just editing up a video of all Sony's own words during it's press conference and how inherently hypocritical and ridiculous it all was is more humour than any outright or biased slander (now, their site, Wii60.com or whatever, is another story). Granted, the purpose for the video was to spread "anti-Sony propaganda", but they did it with Sony's own words.
I'm not a fanboy in any capacity (more like an anti-fanboy, when it all comes down to it, really), so don't make me out to be a "PS basher" or anything. If Ninty or M$ had any completely back-asswords comments during their conference, I'd very much like to see those, too. But something tells me they wouldn't be as entertaining as this video.
I LOVE that rhino.
So here's this giant enemy crab...
Did you flip it over and attack its weak spot for MASSIVE DAMAGE? I hear that's all the rage with the young folk.
Its Ridge Racer!
One Guy: WOOOOO!
RIDDDDGGGGGEEEEE RACERRRRRRRRR!
*It was then they realised that no one cares for Ridge Racer any more*
I suppose they made a big deal about it because RRVI was on Xbox 360.
No it wasn't a good E3 for Sony compared to last year when they could do no wrong. DS looked like a flop and PSP looked like a PS2 in your pocket. What a difference a year makes.
Mind you just to balance it all out.
Tekken 6, Virtua Fighter 5, Soul Calibur 4, Ico 3/Shadow of the Colossus 2 (Plz), Ratchet and Clank Next Gen etc. are my reasons for weighing up the PS3. I wish they would sell the Game Review Kit PS3 (which if it is anything like the PS2 one wont have Blu Ray, DVD playback and just play games).
Just note that VF5 is literally VF4 with nice graphics. There's no new moves, all the stages are just updated versions of older ones, and the characters are even wearing the same outfits.
The only thing I ever liked about Ridge Racer, ever, was that Galaga minigame.

Which doesn't exactly fill me with hope for Soul Calibur 4, either. =/
There was no sign of SC4 at E3, as far as I could tell. But I mean, SC3 at least updated the fighting engine, added a few new moves, improved the graphics, better AI, new game modes, character creation, and other stuff. Tekken 5 vastly improved the fighting engine and added dozens of new moves to each character. We can assume that, judging by these two, Namco is doing a decent job of both Tekken 6 and SC4.
VF5 was, again, literally VF4 with better graphics. That's it. Apart from the two new characters, there is nothing else to say about it.
that's kind of how most fighting games are unfortunately.
the only game i saw recently that really invented something new was SCII with the quest mode.
There was a list released ages ago that had SC4 on it for PS3. And its also a given thing there being a SC4. In an eventuality. And they will change Ivy again.
The List. It also confirms Shadow of the Colossus Online. I doubt it but you can dream.
Tekken 5 is awesome but it was very similar to Tekken 3. When you first pick it up. Tekken: Dark Resurrection on PSP looks ok.
Virtua Fighter never changes the 1p costumes. Not changing the stages though thats wierd. Don't get me wrong I'll wait for the reviews to come out. But graphically its good.
Also, sorry for taking it so off topic (3D fighting game zealot). Ermmm... Giant Enemy RIDGE RACER.
