Has anyone tried this game? i rented it today and have been playing it like nonstop. i really enjoy the different force moves you can do and how much control you're given.
although i don't really like playing the bad guy, it can be pretty fun. But what bothers me is that in the 2nd level, you fight with rebels and stormtroopers. the rebels can take a decent beating before they go down, whereas the armored stormtroopers die in one shot. i think physics wouldn't agree with that.

also, mostly unrelated but still funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umo3UifSiWs

yeah, played it awhile back. Didn't care for it that much. Was an okay game, but pissed me off at a lot of areas and some of the boss fights. anyways, I enjoyed the story some. probably the best part to me about the game.

I have it but tbh I haven't played it much. It never really gripped me, although I probably didn't give it the chance.

Then again, finding Rock Band for almost a third off at HMV around a week or so later probably had something to do with it

Force Unleashed is an average game. It had potential and it didn't really live up to it.

For one thing it's hardly 'unleashed'. Most of the force powers are pretty useless - I pretty much thrive on Force Lightning and not much else. I'm not fond of how many options - such as level select - can only be used after you've booted up the game, and you can't go back to the prologue level without starting a new game. The game is pretty short, and since you end up going back to previous locations there doesn't feel much variety to it. It doesn't really fit in with the original trilogy that well, and the ending leaves something to be desired. And to top it off, there are pretty major glitches - for example the stats for a level (such as collected holocrons) can stop tracking, locking you out of achievements from the 360 version as they're used to determine whether you've collected all the holocrons.

Like I said, it has its place, but it's nowhere near what it should have been.

I played it but never really got into it, major turn off was the lightsaber just feeling really weak.

That said the Vader level kicked ass.

In related news, a new mission pack has gone online today. I won't be getting it until at least post-christmas, and even then I'd like to hear some feedback on it beforehand. There's also a new character pack for 400 points which just adds additional costumes again.

Definitely more of a rental, but it is worth playing too for the boss fights which are pretty memorable and fun. The actual levels can get pretty boring and repetitive though... shame. And i have never been good at these kind of games.

Haven't actually finished the game though, dont know when i will find time since i'm currently on Sonic Unleashed and Okami, and Persona 4 out in a soon... but i'd like to finish this one since it is worth one play through.

Putting stuff on the backburner for Sonic Unleashed? Even in the case of SFU that seems unjustified.

I remember hearing watching commercials, and gameplay footage videoclips, of this Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, videogame, which I've enjoyed watching, hearing from, and seeing by the way. So I'm planning on playing this game soon, I'm just not sure as to how soon though.

i figure that it's not good to be hypercritical of a game, sure there are some glitchy areas, but when you get past them it is a decent game. idk take it with a grain of salt, but if you have fun with a game then it's a good game to me.

I agree that would definitely have to be a good game hypershadow77, from what I've seen on this Star Wars: The Force Unleashed stuff however, seems to make this Star Wars: The Force Unleashed videogame, look like a very good videogame to me.

well i finished it. i like the ending. i knew that they couldn't change anything that was already cannon, but it was a good way to *sneak* it in there.
