And this is why I won't be getting the game.
At least until I get a better TV anyway.
I tried playing the demo and I couldn't read a damn thing, so couldn't do what I was asked to.
I don't see why they can't just enlarge the font and dialogue boxes, but until they do sort it out I'm not going to bother.
From what I've heard, Rare is making the font larger for the actual game anyway.

Yeah, but the Kotaku report Robobotnik just linked clearly states they will not change it.

I'm in the same boat. I have an HD tv in the living room, but I wouldn't beable to play it much as thats what is used to watch regular stuff.
I'm even using a pretty big SD tv and I still couldn't read a thing.
They'll most likely patch it after enough people complain about it, but I won't get it if they don't.
I have to admit, I'm somewhat biased anyway, I didn't really care for Banjo back on the N64 even though it uses Mario 64's controls. At the same time this is one of the few games on the 360 that's colourful and my little brother might be able to play, so it might be worth it. However, I still stand by my post, if I can't read the objectives, I'll have a hard time completing them...so at the moment it's a no.
Whoa-hoah momma! I'm in looove <3
i have pencils with a greater diameter than her waist
Edit: Seems like there is some light at the end of the tunnel for the small text issue
When it was announced that there was going to be a Banjo-Kazooie game on the 360, I seriously considered buying a 360 just for that game. But my skepticism about the new concept, hearing some of the "meh" in this thread about the execution, has made me rethink. B-K is basically my favorite game ever, so I have unrealistic expectations about how good the new game ought to be.
Well, I preordered it. Figured that if I was gonna get it for my brother for Christmas, I might as well get the original Banjo-Kazooie for my efforts.
And that just went live Monday night. The port's quite good! My only gripe is that there's some minor slowdown around water... not sure what's causing that, but it's annoying.
Aw man, you already have it? I don't know how Zavvi are distributing theirs; most sites are saying they're emailing them out on the week of release, but it's possible they could be sending it in print with the package, in which case I won't get hold of it til at least Friday =(
Yeah, I was handed it from the clerk when I preordered it last Friday. I assume it'll be shipped to you with the game if you ordered it online, but brick and mortar stores are able to hand it out right away.
