Click.

Apparently, not a shell, but another controller entirely will be used to play virtual console games. This looks to me like a SNES controller with Dual Analog:

Veeery interesting, but IMHO, the sticks look far too low on the pad for my tastes. Other than that, I like what I see. It's got four face buttons, two sticks, a d-pad, and apparently four shoulder buttons - two large and two small ones.

Looks good to me. The sticks are perfect, except for maybe games that use both the right stick and buttons often.

No sir, I don't like it.

But I'll tolerate it. Can't be worse on my fingers than the back buttons of Dreamcast.

If it works well enough for Starfox 64, I'm sold.

It's quite thin. The thinnyness of Ninty's handhelds hurts my hands after a while. This is no good.

My major gripe, though, is that the sticks are contained within shapes like the GC's are. The shapes force the stick into one direciton or another when I push it, messing up menu choices and in-game actions.

As a final note, I hope that GC controllers are as compatible with Wii games as the shell/normal controller will be. I'm a tight ass and don't want to be shellin' out for stuff that's basically what I've already got.

I rather like those shapes, as they make it much easier to push *exactly* foward or back and such.

Looks passable enough.

Huh. It looks decent. But will it have the problem of poor control with no sensetivity setting? (read: Gamecube controllers) Playing Nightfire for GCN and trying to aim at something was extremely annoying, especially with the sniper rifles. Or maybe all of the third-party controllers just sucked.

Well, I still won't put my money down for a Wii until Sonic invades it.

I like it, looks kind'a cute for a pad. ^.^

However, I can't see it working for N64 games, lack of C buttons and maybe the Z trigger would make them difficult.

Edit: Reading the article, the four shoulder buttons make up for a Z button, so less concern. :)

Jump is on the right. Fail.

Why the hell does Nintendo always do this? Am I the ONLY one in existence who DOESN'T want to jump with the button on the right? It's always felt counter-intuitive.

Other than that, win.

So Sony steals from Nintendo who steals from Sony who steals fomr Nintendo who steals from Sony...

Jesus, it's like the snake eating its own tail at this point. It's a perpetual theft cycle.

Gentlemen, I can assure you all that the pad you see above feels just fine.

Well, I still won't put my money down for a Wii until Sonic invades it.

o.o

Ah, good old circularish shape. I missed you. And hey, a functional d-pad on a game controller! =P

I perfer the a button more towards the bottom or left myself...but other than that, looks gold. ^_^

looks good, I would of prefered the A button replacing the B one though.. and maybe made the sticks smaller so that my thumbs dont have to do a situp to reach them.
Then again, remotes dont normally screw with me, so im cool
