The game is not out yet, but it's an MMORPG that's gotten my attention and looks like it might be fun. It's at a critical stage where people could join this as soon as it starts, and I'm just pointing this out to people now because I think it looks fun and I'm curious if anyone might want to, potentially, join together to make a MoFo Guild of some type.

Discussion can include: what type of character would you be, as well as species? I'm thinking of being Sense-type Fox or Raccoon.

This is just a random fun thing I found, not sure whether it'll be worth the wait or not, but the art is rather cute.

Wow. Spectacular story for a MMORPG (instead of the usual cliche fantasy) and good art. I hope it's not, like most MMORPGs, level-grinding &^%$.

I remember you showing me this. It looks really interesting, but I'd like to see what the gameplay is like... but the site is far too vague to know what it is like. D:

Still, we can at least post what info we do know about here.

One of the hardest parts of certain specific details, however, is that I can't tell just how much species influences your character's development, how many job changes you can do, whether you can be a female raccoon or male sheep, etc. Not to mention, which characters fulfill what roles? Is a Buffalo going to be able to act as a tank? What species is best as a standalone character? What species work well together?

I've gotten the impression that it works a bit like Phantasy Star Online, in the sense that if you choose to be a Raccoon, for example, you can only customize the character by messing about with the stats. But each race seems to have their own special abilities, and it's hard to say exactly what the "best" ability is or how best to exploit that ability.

Myself, I don't like overcomplicating myself with magical abilities. I also like being able to tell what "role" I can play in a party. But I also don't want to stress out too much over min/maxing, since I want to play for fun. Still, it might be fun to try out being a healer, or a "tank," or a varied magic user.

But I don't know if there are such clear-cut roles in this game, which makes it even more of a quandary for me. And how much of the plot can we get through, well, that's still up for grabs as well as far as I can tell.

It looks like those are the characters. What you see there is what you can be. If they had more nifty artwork of female lions or male sheep, they'd probably show it.

Unless this is pay to play, I doubt you have that much choice in what you are.

Does anyone else notice that this game looks kind of like Ragnarok Online?

Kind of a lot like Ragnarok Online?

Actually, it sounds like it plays a lot like it too. I haven't played RO though so don't count on it 'til you play it.

It is free, I'm playing it right now actually. Started off as a raccoon, and it looks pretty fun. Went through the tutorial, pretty lousy translation in some parts but that's okay, I got the general idea.

So, it's online now, if anyone else wants to start playing. PM or IM me to find out what my ID in-game is so we can meet up, if you like.

Tergonaut, it takes so long to patch this game, the updater has been running all morning >_<

Darn free games not having the money to afford mirrors.

I don't know if I'm interested in the guild, but I'm always willing to try out a free game.

After seeing the screenshots, YES. Which is much less interesting, because RO is made by the devil. The art and concept seem to be the most attractive things about the game, but they probably aren't particularly related to the game itself. The sprites look nothing like the art and it looks like RO with less skill diversity.

I think I'm going to have to pass on this one... After preaching incessantly about needing more customisation in role-playing games, I can't in good conscience play a game that gives all species just one class and one gender : Plus, yeah, it's just like RagOn, apart from the drilling (by their own admission on the website, pretty much) and that's not really enough, not for me anyway.

Played through the tutorial and for a fair bit killing enemies. All I can say isthat the backgrounds are gorgeous, and the music and ambiant sounds are really nice, however the gameplay is pretty simple and dull, and the tutorial was far too long. That said, it is free...so may as well enjoy it. ^^
