So. As I type this, I am listening to Alice and Decus rant about what weak idiots my characters are. "Help me daddy, Help me Ratatosk. PHOOIE!!" ---

---This is the 9th time.

NINE TIMES. That's more than the amount of times I endured the Yunalesca speech. Share my agony, tell me of the unskippable horrors you have endured before difficult boss fights.

Edit: 10 times.

Sitting through the cutscene prior to the Egg Viper fight in DC Sonic Adventure was a small terror. After a while, I had no other reason to beat that boss other than not to have to endure watching Sonic blather to himself and ride the rocket up to the arena.

Lunar 2 did this to me.

Zophar. Frickin' Zophar. First and second stages? No problem. Third stage? OH DEAR GOD. Took me five attempts. Five times of sitting through that wonderfully lengthy cutscene where they have to show you SLOWLY what he looks like before he mocks you. And then of course, two fights >=/

Zasalamel throwing that cog at you in SC3 was pretty bad.

Im sure theres been moments in the Tomb Raider/Prince of Persia series where I have gone mental.

stop dying lol

But yeah, I hear you. That's why I love it when a game's developer realizes this and cuts the scene on replays and goes direct to the boss encounter, or at least gives you the option to skip it in the pause menu. Kingdom Hearts, including the upcoming BBS, does this.

That bloody tutorial section in Oblivion. A dreary trek through a dull, dark underground cavern with the highlight being a zombie, takes about 40 minutes to do and you need either a mod or a save file right at the end if you want to skip it when you make new characters, seeing as they were generous enough to let you rewrite history right at the end.

At least with Fallout 3 they made it work, and fun! And immersive!

Also any fighting game where the entrances and victory animations aren't skippable. Not so bad if you win a lot, but just for those situations where you've got SNK boss syndrome and are too angry to quit.

How about the entire last story of Sonic Adventure every time I feel like fighting Perfect Chaos?

Neo Geo Battle Colosseum reminded me of that fact when I played it a couple of days ago. Sure there's no animation cut scenes, but the sheer annoyance of GOD TIER Mizuchi.

If I recall, Craig, that is the same exact thing that happened to me. Same fight and everything. I think I watched that cutscene so many times that I came to hate those characters more than any of us were supposed to.

True that man! Hahah! Hmmm...let's see I can't think of any. I will say though...on SFIV online...whenever I fight someone randomly and win they skip my winning celebration. But when they win they watch it. Damn punks! *shakes fist*

When I played Kingdom Hearts, this was a very prevalent; especially, with the Guard Armor, I died so many times when I first played it that I got tired of watching the movie over and over. Also, the Sly Cooper series had a few of these; while most movies only played once, for some reasons some cutscenes kept on coming and you can't skip them. Also, I hate when a game has incredibly long beginning credits and I can't skip them!

Okay, for the record I beat ToS2 yesterday and am now on to my new project. No idea what it is yet, but I've moved on. Never to look back.

Also, as Tricia is not posting Mobius Forum as much these days, allow me to fill in for her.

Both she and her brother were so bested by the boss Borgan from Lunar 2, they are able to fully quote his pre-boss speech word for word. I believe it is something to

Both she and her brother were so bested by the boss Borgan from Lunar 2, they are able to fully quote his pre-boss speech word for word. I believe it is something to this effect.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't little Lemina and friends. I hope you've had time to look around Neo Vane, you have witnessed the fruit of my discipline. Neo Vane is vastly superior to the original in every way. blahblah, violin and sad music, I am a fool. blah blah. ORBS KILL YOU DEAD"

So, yeah. Borgan? Middle finger for you, buddy.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age has quite a few long cut scenes that get rather annoying when doing a New Game+.

Also, having having to trek though large portions of Venus/Mars Lighthouses after losing to Fusion/Doom Dragon is aggravating.

Last time I actually strugged with a boss and had to endure a stupid cutscene was in Final Fantasy 5 at the final boss, where you have to endure the screen going all flashy, Ex-Death ranting and then mutating into...something horrible. Seeing as how he's a cheap son of a gun, I had to endure this quite a bit.

Yuna-friggin-lesca.

As badass as Aurons speech was, enduring that thing more than once is just damm painful.
