Beat Final Fantasy X-2. Better than I expected, but still doesn't stand up to the original. Now to find a working VII disk...
I'm now working on Tales of Phantasia. (GBA update) I wanna say to ANYONE that liked Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, to get this game. I plays a lot like that minus the card system. And, good God, is it HARD. This is the difficulty level more games NEED. I literally died the first fight I got into against a basic enemy out in the field. I lost FIFTEEN TIMES against the, I think, third boss in the game.
Sadly, my DS' power cord's broken, so I can't play anymore until my mom gets back from work...

You will find the key to the battle system to be rhythm.
It's simply a matter of tapping the attack key at the right time, sometimes with the directional buttons. A regular charging back-and-forth motion can be mastered, allwing all but the irritating flying enemies, spellcasters, and bosses to be defeated with no vast difficulty.
I found Tales of Phantasia to be pretty easy. Are you playing in Hard mode or Normal?
Also, I would like to get a portable Tales of Phantasia but I heard bad things about the GBA port. The main reason why I'm waiting for the mostly superior Tales of Phantasia~Full Voice Edition~ for the PSP.
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth GET!
I owned Tales of Destiny for a year back in the day and never got much farther than the second dungeon (more recently, this sums up my experience with Symphonia as well). The battle system is a real turn-off. I honestly can't explain it. I guess it's gotta be completely turn-based (FFs, Earthbound, Persona, etc.) or completely free-roaming (KHs, Mana, etc.) or I lose interest.
Come to think of it, I didn't much like Star Ocean either. Mind you, this is all from a gameplay perspective.

Yes, I got all the secret characters and no, despite WHAT people say, N. Oxide is NOT, repeat NOT available as a secret character. He is not playable, period. I didn't know this thing was still going since the game's release, heh.
AHHH! So you beat him in all the time trails and you didn't get him. That's bogus. How cheap is that. Oh well, I still like racing him so I guess i'll do it anyway. =/

Speaking as someone who's comparing it to the original. There is very little bad about the GBA port. Only 2 problems arise:
a) The music is a little inferior
b) You have to turn the voices off. For your own sake.
Aside from the sound, all is well.
^I also heard that there is some slowdown in battles, izzat true from what you've enountered?

Have ever tried any of the Tales games with manual control instead of the default semi-auto option?
Right now, I'm going between Xenosaga Ep. 1 and Tales of Eternia (AKA, Tales of Destiny II as it is known in the American PSX version.)
Ah, Tales of Phantasia, the game that gets remade more times than Michael Jackson's nose. I've played the SNES version (using the DeJap translation), and it was quite fun, being the first game I've played in the Tales series.

I don't know, I mean SNES Mint's obnoxous "FIIRST AID-O!!!11!1!" scream was pretty damn annoying. Other than that, I agree. I've only heard the beginning dialog between Tornix and Dhaos via YTMND, and I must admit, it was laughably horrible ("What the heck is THAT?!").
And to add to the cons of GBA Phantasia, the translation is a bit bad. One example I've heard around the internet that the battle of Ragnarok becomes the battle of Kangaroo.
IG-DIN-NHAY-SHON!
IT CAN'T BEEEE!!1!1!
To the people who have no idea what we're talking about and/or what the voice acting is like, here's an example for you.

I have to say, the translation has so far been pretty good. Only remote issue was Nintendo deciding to pretend alcohol doesn't exist.
1: Completed Phoenix Wright 1 for the DS.
SO loved that game right off the bat, I had to make sure I saved at least a chapter a day so I didn't complete it too quickly.
{ Shouting OBJECTION was never this much fun before, heh. }
2: New Super Mario Bros
Completed, but used the hidden challenge mode as of the last few days to add some replay value to this cracking game.
For those NOT knowing:
Pause on the map screen, then press L R L R X X Y Y...
Makes it one way scrolling a'la Mario 1 style for something of a retro feel.
Honourable 'recently got' mentions:
Hitman 2, GC
Ultimate Spiderman, GC.
After receiving VOOM in the mail today. I'll be playing this until school starts. =) So happy right now.
Playing through GTASA again. This time on PC.
It's a much much better game on PC, btw, better graphics controls user mods all that.
However, I'm currently on flight school. Fun's over.
Final Fantasy XI, Megaman Battle Network 6: Falzar version, Command and Conquer: The First Decade and Sonic Rush (tryin for all S-rank)
Sonic 2. ^^
I played a little MKDS this weekend...
More importantly, I let my 3rd grader sister play... she sucked, but it was fun watching her play... She'd tilt the DS like she was turning a steering wheel...
I'm trying to get into the Mega Man series, so I'm currently playing MMAC and then the X Collection.
Im playing the megaman x 6 now its the only x game i havent bet for the ps1.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance
This series has officially taken the title of the most in-depth, complicated plot in the history of gaming. I love it. Plus the art is astounding.
Is there anyone here that plays it?
I know it was discountinued more than likely because of the small, but VERY loyal following. A miserable day for me.
^ Oh? How does it hold up compared to the other titles? I've only ever played Blood Omen once in my life (long ago) and I've recently completed the DC version of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver again because I missed the grandiose voice acting in that title.
The puzzles, not so much.
Can anyone tell me if I should bother with the various sequels that came after? I hear Defiance is less Soul Reaver and slightly more Devil May Cry in design, gameplay-wise. And the second Blood Omen was almost universally panned by the industry.
It holds up beautifully. Lots of closure and information. I'm playing for the second time and still learning new things.
I would definately suggest going through them in order (blood Omen, Soul Reaver, Blood Omen 2, Soul Reaver 2, Defiance).
As for the puzzles, personally I'm all for using my brain during games ('course, I also love the Sonic games for the rush of NOT thinking ), not only in the puzzles, but you have to willing to pay attention to plot to know what's going on. Of course, since it was discontinued, there are still unanswered questions (and lots of them).
It is kinda Devil May Cry in style, but personally, I saw no problem with it. Aside from the occassional glitch, I have no complaints.
100000000/10, in my opinion.
Now im trying to complete Metroid Prime Hunter's ... the last boss. I've had it for 3 mths and NOW I finaly get around to doing it =(

wot? I thought Defiance was supposed to end it once and for all, you mean there's no (satisfactory) resolution to the series as a whole?
And double wot? SR2 was released first but BO2 takes place before it plot-wise? Huh. o.o

I'm afraid not. The LoK team is gone. Like I said, it has a small, but incredibly loyal following, too small for it stand up to more popular games, like Halo (which wasn't all it was cracked up to be, to me).

Not completely, it just makes more sense in the end. Not to mention all the time jumping that goes on in Defiance. I know it sounds odd, but it makes more sense in the order they came out.
Just finished playing Tales of Symphonia for the second time so I'm gonna go back to Phoenix Wright, now.
TUS, the last boss is easier than you'd think Nn
Yes Hiro I knew that its just Ive been playing too much Tetrs DS and Big brian academy.
And I have beaten the final boss just a little while after I posted that up above , it just took 3 tries is all.
I was playing:
and I beat it. Very good game and I recommend obtaining it if you can find it since it has been discontinued.
Ive heard nothing but good things about that game.
Yeah, I've been meaning to buy it as well, if it ever gets reduced. o.o I don't feel like paying full price for it amongst other DS titles.
Well the game is getting pretty hard to find. Only two stores arround my area carried it and I bought the last copy in one of those stores.
Right now I'm playing:
...deja vu?
Currently going over my PS2 games, including some RPGs I never really started. La Pucelle Tactics is quite fun. ^^
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance right now, as a substitute for a proper 3D Advance Wars.
Man, this permanent death thing sucks.
A lot.
Completed R-Type Final today. On "Baby" difficulty, of course...
I ought to get back to Broken Sword 2 now; I've had the third one for months and I'm aching to start it, but I can't until I've done the second.
Right now, I'm taking a break from Tales of Eternia to finish up Tales of Destiny. All I have to say about it is that this is one of the easiest Tales games I've ever played in terms of battles. I don't think I even had to whip out a life bottle even once, and I'm well into the second part of the game. o.o
However, the puzzles can be a total pain. Sure the other games had their fair share of hard puzzles, but Destiny just removes the throne and replaces it with a bigger one. =/
Right now im playing age of mythology for the PC.
I'm playing Megaman Maverick Hunter x and Tokobot on my PSP.
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat online on my PS2.
If any of you play it online I'm SX_Kitsune.
Well, after finally beating all 326 stories on Shadow (last night), beating Final Story (this afternoon), and beating Expert Mode for the 2nd time (tonight), I'll probably be finishing off Sonic Riders story, as well as play Xmen Legends II. But that's tomorrow; now, it's time for me to go to bed!
Minesweeper. =/
I really need to go back home and play DS.
Playing WoW right now, so I'll be busy for the enxt few days.
Started a fresh file on Devil May Cry 3.
Currently made no progress.
No spoilers plz. I haven't finished that one yet.
NCAA Football 2007...mainly because I haven't found a nice copy of Grandia yet...
Mega Man X Collection. Just beat the first X.
Also, I now have Sonic Heroes for the PC. For $5, I could do worse.
Hmm, Guess WoW is getting too boring, but I just dloaded america's army yesterday and let me tell you...that is the 2nd best online FPS i've ever played and thats what im playing now.
by I got fraged when snipin so ill show this funny pic of me dead ...
I'm playing Kingdom Hearts 2. Because I hated the first one so much, I thought I might as well hate the second one too. But first, I must play it!
I was playing Psychonuats. Completed it. Not 100% so I went back to play it today to try and do that and I have to start again. It was an okay game I cant really understand the whole "MOST OVERLOOKED GAME EVAR" comments about it. The actual controls are badly mapped. Also there are no real hints as to what abilities you need in the levels (Like in Zelda: WW). I didn't like the art style of the characters.
Mind you The Milkman Conspiracy is brilliant.
Also Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution again. I cleared Quest Mode! Well I'm champion of all the arcades and tournaments. Big ol' game that one.
