Back on Dawn of Sorrow, trying to bring my completion time down to 45 minutes or less. I know I can do it. Go through the game normally, then slash through to the clocktower, slashthrough to the Bat Company boss, teleport back to the tower, beat Paranoia, beat Aguni, beat Death, Abadon and then Menace. It's not hard! WHY CAN'T I DO IT?!
Quote:
All this in preperation for the immenent release of Devil May Cry 3 Special Editon in a week or so.
Warning: it apparantly ain't as good.
You get an extra playable character and another boss in exchange for an easier game.
Sonic Gems Collection.
Just to see if I still have my Sonic mojo.

It only contains one extra difficulty level, and that's an easy Easy mode. All the other difficulty levels are still there. Plus, I get to play as Virgil, plus I get to beat the crap out of Jester, plus Turbo mode, which makes the game 30% faster, plus Bloody Palace mode is back.
Not too mention a TRUE Infinite DT costume (WITH health regeneration). PLus, it's only $50 (AUS) and it completes my DMC collection, at least util the release of DMC4.
Megaman ZX and Starfox Command both arrived last night.
I'm committing myself to Megaman, playing as Alice.
This is the first Megaman game I've ever played, and it's hard.
Playing pokemon LG for the 4th time completion, and playing pokmon Emerald to get a complete pokdex and beat the battle frontier before D/P comes out, currently I only have 2 frontier symbols from the Battle Factory and Battle Tube
...This isn't going to be easy.
And IMHO ZX is not not nearly as hard as Megaman 2 or Megaman X4 (when playing as Zero anyway due to his crappy range).
Also I just picked up NHL 07 yestrerday and I'm loving it (though I'm using the classic controls)
o_O I still can't believe people consider X4 with Zero to be that hard... I friggin' love X4 as Zero. Some parts are a little easier with X, but I find Zero to be a lot more fun. It's not like I'm perfect at it either, but it doesn't give me any trouble. One of these days when I'm really bored and have too much free time I ought to record a video playthrough of it or something, just so I can say, "see? it's not that hard".
Anyway, as far as gaming, I'm severely deprived at the moment. We're in the process of possibly moving in the near future, so I've had to pack a few things away, including all of my games and consoles. o_o *cries in a corner* My only options for gaming now are limited to what I have on my computers, and to make things worse, my main computer is in the middle of a full backup and is unavailable for gaming. >_< My laptop is all I have left to sustain my gaming needs. Fortunately it can be hooked up to the TV, and I made sure to not pack away my wired 360 gamepad...
So due to all that and the comments made in this thread, I'm now about play through X4 again as Zero.
Mmm, Okami is so good. It's the only game that I've played for the past 3 days. Now I feel guilty for neglecting my town in AC: WW. =(
Took a break from PKMN:MD and now I'm on to:
Which is an awesome and humorous game, despite being pretty easy. The tank battles are the best part. If only this game had an online option.
Watch out for Chrono Twigger, Acid.
Anyways... I'm currently torn between KH2 and the excellent-can't-believe-I-just-noticed-it Clive Barker's Undying.
Had a chance to play some Halo 2 at my brother's recently, but now that I'm back here with my disturbing lack of gaming options, I've been playing Solitare. Exciting. Been screwing around with the latest Windows Vista preview build though, and Vista's Solitare has seen a fairly significant makeover. Getting tired of that though, and I'm finding myself in an MMX4 mood again. Planning to go through it with X at some point since I haven't in a while, but I'm in too much of a Zero mood currently.
I HAVE FOUND DYNAMITE DUX! MY DERAM COME TRUE! Ok, it's rom so sue me. Not my fault that it waset on Gametap now is it? I don't have no more Gametap so no SOR, Bust a Move/Groove, or Earth worm jim - NOTHING!
Now if you exuse me, i have a date with Lemmings and DTYNAMITE DUX! (Runs off) MY DYNAMITE DUX! MINE!
(EDIT) Dynamite Dux won't download and i can't find one that CAN work! Oh well. ;.;
Trying to beat the NES game Faxanadau (I think that's how it's spelled).
That and I want to play Simon's quest.
I'm on a NES kick.
EDIT: HA! post 666! I know I was evil.
Faxanadu was pretty rad. I haven't played that in ages. I remember there being a constant need to grind in order to acquire all the good stuff in towns before journeying to the next. THIS IS NOT ENOUGH GOLDS is forever imprinted into my mind. *_*
Shadow of the Colossus. Trying to do the time attacks now.
Which is when you notice that the controls aren't that nice. A bit poo really.
But you can't escape that guilt that you get when you kill one of them.

I'm surprised anyone else has played it. From what I know, it wasn't exactly a hit.
But, yeah, it is pretty rad.

This is the first time I heard someone complain about the controls about this game. Usually everyone complains about the dipping framerate or the camera in some places.
I only really noticed them when I am trying to kill the thing inside a time limit.
When you are pootling along slowly trying to figure out what to do they are fine.
Its little things when you try to jump/climb up while on a ledge and you do a side jump. When you are pressing triangle next to Argo and Wander is jumping. When you are shuffling along the fur and you relise that you haven't moved an inch despite holding up on the anolog pad. And then theres the whole stabbing the head business. Now I can understand when they do the whole lean forward and rush back that cancels the stabbing motion but when its just a slight movement that cancels it is annoying.
I've never minded the framerate because I didn't notice it that much. Too be honest it felt like a movie for some reason. And the only time when I have sworn at the camera really is when you are on horseback trying to aim the bow and arrow.
I still say that this is a game of gaming moments (Colossus 5 is brilliant). But the time attack just makes you notice the flaws on this diamond. (You see what I did there?)
Insult a masterpiece? We all did.
Tell your parents to expect a phone call, young man.
Must be in a weird mood lately, because I've been finding myself strangely drawn back to Vista Solitaire... And in the process, I ran across something interesting/weird. Windows Vista recognized and set up my Xbox 360 controller immediately, which I was guessing it would. However, I was not expecting to find that the games included with Vista seem to have full 360 controller support. Starting Solitaire causes the controller to light up and everything, allowing you to use the controller to play if you are so inclined. It's a bit of a tedious pain to play Solitaire with a controller instead of a mouse, but still interesting that the support is there. I assume the other included games would work the same way, although the only other game I've tried so far is Minesweeper. That one even has vibration support when you hit a mine... o_O
Anyway, I'm currently alternating between Solitaire and Halo (PC).
The Football Manager 2007 demo and FIFA 07.
Both are big improvements from their previous iterations, FIFA especially. I'm really impressed with it. The shooting is superb and it just feels right. FM is top drawer too, lots of good new features and I especially like the media interaction.
Apart from that, nowt recently. Although I did pick up Far Cry and Rollercoaster Tycoon for 10 the other week so I really should start those.
Street Fighter Collection. I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. Beat Super Street Fighter II with Balrog (including losing to E. Honda and Sagat many, many, many times), then went to Alpha 2 Gold to do the same. Except Balrog isn't in Alpha 2 Gold, so I settled for Guy instead, and then beat the whole game, only losing one round to Sodom (although I ultimately won that match anyway).
Friday, I was able to pick up this old and hard to find game at my local f.y.e.:
It's okay(similar to E.V.O.), but DEAR LORD the camera SUCKS! Also, this game needs a better targeting system. I mean you can only target one enemy at a time without choosing a different enemy. This combined with the camera makes this game more frustrating that it should and I can understand the low scores this game would have recieved. It's like this game sort of missed its potential.
Now that my thumb is nearly back to normal I played games for the first time in like a month or so. I tried VOOM and loved it. =)
Just started Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga, which is pretty dang good so far. It hasn't quite sucked me in like Nocturne did, but it's a keeper, even if only for the fact is a god-dammed Atlus run title.
I beat the story mode of Sonic Riders Wednesday night after church; I'm gonna play it a little bit more to unlock a few things and then maybe play X-Men Legends II after I'm done fooling with Riders.
When you feel you are ready, I shall meet you in combat somehow, someday, Shadow Hog... but until then, keep training.
Anywho, I've been playing EVE. I really don't want to attempt to explain the scope of this game, but I will say it's an entire galaxy of freedom. It's literally hundreds of star systems you can go to whenever you so desire. Wiki it.
Halo (PC).
EDIT: *pokes topic with a stick* This has sure been dead for a while... >_> At any rate, I've had my video game stuff back for a while now, so Halo has given way to a sudden Gran Turismo 4 addiction. Thinking of also going back and doing some stuff I never finished in GT3.
So nearly done with Dragon Quest VIII... I can taste the Cor Blimey.
Eh? DRAGOVIAN RUINS?!? NUUUUuuuuuu.... {:o
Torn between Halo 2 (man I love tormenting people on it, "Double kill, MF's!"), Kingdom Hearts 2 (I've been wasting time on it, leveling up and crap before I kill Sephiroth and then finishing the game), and Armored Core: Last Raven (Why is it so danged hard? u_u And to have crappy graphics compared to AC2: Another Age, and AC3. I haven't played Nexus or Nine Breaker, or anything else past 3).
Right now, I'm playing X-Men Legends II after almost a year hiatus so needless to say I'm going to have to get reacquainted with both the controls and where I left off.
I'm starting to get into GTA: San Andreas. Also playing FFXII which is better than I expected.
Currently flitting between Final Fantasy X and Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga.
Sega Superstars.
I almost popped my importing cherry yesterday. A person who imported MK: Armageddon for the Xbox and claimed that the game was region free and someone else said yes it was. And it wasn't It was the Canadian version (With french intsruction manual). The place where I imported it from doesn't accept returns when the seal is broken.
So anyone wants MK: Armageddon? For the Xbox?
Currently I still continue to relax with Animal Crossing Wild World, though I've still yet to play online or offline with anyone.
And when I'm not relaxing or at my PC, I'm painting the town red in Mortal Kombat Armagedon, with I also haven't played online or offline with anyone yet....
Finished up the stuff I was doing in GT3 and 4 and decided that was enough for now. Still in a racing mood though, so I decided to finally stick in Forza Motorsport again, which I haven't really done anything with since I got it a few months ago. Should've gotten around to it sooner, as I'm liking it quite a bit. So far I can't really decide which I like better (Forza or GT4), as they both have their benefits, but I might actually be leaning towards Forza. (which isn't to say GT4 isn't still awesome) I'm really liking the damage modeling and more realistic crashes in Forza, not to mention the fact that the computer opponents actually have some form of AI, unlike GT. Plus I get to play it with my beloved Xbox 360 controller. I just wish the car models looked as good as those in GT4.
I'm playing the best Zelda game that isn't called Legend of Zelda:

Neutopia?
So after purchasing Shenmue for $15 from the VG Black Market at school i'l be spending the rest of my natural life on that. =)
I've been playing racing games too much lately so I've gotten a bit sick of them. But I can't decide what else I want to play at the moment. So I'm basically alternating between sitting here staring at my game collection blankly and gawking at the new screenshots from the 360 version of Armored Core 4, wishing it was coming out sooner. Also wishing Nintendo hadn't pushed back the release of Zelda:TP for GC, grr.
I'm probably going to screw around with the Sonic demo for the 360 some more, and then I'm considering going through the GC version of Zelda:OoT again. Or maybe Majora's Mask, I've had it on the GC Collector's disc for over a year now and I still haven't gotten around to doing much of anything with it, heh.
Duuuuude... You are seriously going to get the GC version? I'd have thought the Wii controls would have been enough to sway almost everybody...
Anyways... I just recently finished Mario & Wario for the SNES, one of Game Freak's old games. Not bad... Not great, but not horrible. I've been doing a lot of the Sudoku puzzles on Brain Age... And doing some WiFi battles on Tetris DS.
So yeah... I'm dying from anticipation... A little more than a week... 9 days my friends... In 9 days, I will hopefully be outside of a Walmart, waiting for midnight so I can get my Wii and Zelda...
Oh, and Final Fantasy III comes out on Tues... I'm going to wait though... I'm going to sell my Metriod Prime: Hunters and Star Fox Command for it, I think.
Heh, yup. I personally want nothing to do with the Wii controls, so I'm really looking forward to the GC version.
Cave Story.
Fine, fine game, plus free.
Shenmue is genius. What's ol' Yu Suzuki up to now? He better be publishing III IV and V. =)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell
Pathologic.
It's been so long since I played a game with intelligent dialogue, I'd almost forgotten what it felt like.
Animal Crossing Wild World, Kingdom Hearts II, NHL 2005 (So bad at this game), We ♥ Katamari, and dreaming about the 360 and the Wii.
Wii Sports and Twilight Princess...
N_n
I'm playing "Setting up and updating the Wii." >.>
Meh, at least I got one. ^^ After the damn thing updates, I'm probably going for Twilight Princess, Red Steel, or Wii Sports. Ah, choices.
