No, that's incorrect, you can backflip off Epona in the Wii game.
I didn't say you couldn't backflip, I said at will. As in manually. I also used the word "apparently." From what I've heard, it only triggers in the Wii version if there are enemies around. Or can you do it manually?
Finally getting around to this after at last beating Covenant (such a bittersweet ending, either way you slice it BTW). So far I'm vastly enjoying the more colorful enviorments and, while at first I was taken back by the new combo system and Stock features, I think I'm starting to get the hang of it and even, dare I say, consider it an improvement.
Enemies sure love to take advantage of Doubles and Combos, though. It's not uncommon for random encounters to completely obliterate your party if you're not careful.
Also, luscious Native American goddess.
For those having trouble with the shield attack in the Wii version of Twilight Princess, go read this.
As for the topic at hand, I'm still playing Wind Waker. Which is a little surprising, I figured I'd have tired of it by now. Although there are still plenty of things I dislike about it, I think my overall opinion of this game has improved somewhat since playing Twilight Princess. Part of my annoyance with this game came from the underlying fear that this could be it for GameCube Zelda (meaning Zelda for me as well). Now that I actually own Twilight Princess, and it ended up being everything I was hoping for and more, I can look back on this one more favorably knowing it's not what I'll be stuck with as my final Zelda.
If that made sense anywhere else besides in my weird little mind.
Some things about the art style in particular are growing on my more now that I know it's not the permenant standard for Zelda. There are still plenty of character designs I hate in this game (like just about the entire population of Windfall Island), but I'm also finding there's a little more room for humor with this style (which isn't to say there wasn't humor in TP). Chucking Medli at a wall repeatedly never seems to get old.
In short, I like TP better in every way, but at the same time I'm enjoying WW more than the last (and only) time I went through it. Who knows though, I could very well change my tune when I get to that lovely little fetch quest at the end.
I'm not playing much of anything at the moment, but this weekend me and some friends are gonna play some Madden '07, Wii Sports and have a Marvel vs. Capcom thingy so that'll be fun as heck. But for all you North American Wii owners...from my "sources" MK54 comes out Monday...anyone know if it's gonna be online enabled?
Yes, MK64 comes out Monday; no, it won't be online enabled, because no Virtual Console to date has been.
Monday is my first day back at school... MK64 will be a nice welcome back gift. Thank you Nintendo
Haha 64 indeed. I don't know why, I had the idea Ninty was trying to get it online. Nonetheless...it'll rock. =)
I'm playing Mario Kart 64 on the ol'VC. Ghost data can't be saved. =/
It's my first time playing this game and I have to say I'm surprised. Granted it's a very old game, the graphics have certainly not aged well. Still, it handles great and I'm sure multiplayer's going to be amazing.
Wii Sports...I have an urge to play Golf. =P

MK64 is definitely pretty good, there are some things I still like about it better than Double Dash.
As for myself, I'm taking a Wind Waker break at the moment. I forced my brother to play some 2 player Halo 2 deathmatch yesterday, and it got me kind of wishing I could try out the online play (I've never really played any game online, with one minor exception), since I don't know anyone else who cares about video games, let along Halo. >_<
Then I remembered that the PC version of the original Halo has online play, for free. So I figured what the heck. And it's ending up being a lot more fun than I expected, despite the fact that I suck. I'm not sucking as badly as I was expecting though, since I'm completely new to online multiplayer, and since I insist on using my Xbox 360 gamepad. fun fun fun.
So yeah. I'm currently playing Halo PC online multiplayer. Should've tried this a long time ago. This has me almost curious about looking into the online play options of other games I have...
Yeah, being a gamepad-controlled player in a FPS match against good ol' mouse & keyboard players is just asking for it.
Yeeeah, playing an FPS with a gamepad of any sort can perhaps best be compared to driving a 50-foot bus through the narrow, twisting streets of Venice.
I should know, in the naive days of my youth I tried that sh*t.
After getting all of the Kreate a Fighter pieces on MK Armageddon. I've now started on Beyond Good and Evil.
I don't normally like stealth heavy games but I do like this. The story is quite good and a lot of the characters are quite loveable from the off.

Heh, that's what I've heard... That's why I'm surprised I'm doing as well as I am (which isn't to say very well). I was fully expecting to come in dead last every time.
I won't be switching to mouse+keyboard anytime soon though, I've tried that multiple times before and I just totally suck at it. That's one reason why I usually prefer console shooters, I'll never be able to get used to mouse+keyboard controls. Guess I should get an Xbox Live account sometime and play there, but if I do consider something like that, it probably won't be until after Armored Core 4 and/or Halo 3 are released.
Fortunately for me Halo for PC plays just about the same with the 360 gamepad as Halo for Xbox does. Usually FPS games for PC aren't very gamepad friendly. (as I quickly found out in my failed attempt to use a gamepad in Medal of Honor Allied Assault quite a while back)
Dude, if you ever want to seriously play anything other than Halo, you'll need to adapt yourself to a muse and keyboard.
There's just too many functions that need to be mapped in an average FPS, not the least of which are weapon keys, and you'll never get even the bare essentials on a gamepad of any sort, really.
Still playing Boktai, I'm up to the last immortal level, but now I'm just growing solar fruits, with no real intent. One thing I've just noticed, is that the more light you have hitting the sensor, the more the Solar Tree heals, and the more it heals, new events are unlocked and such. So, I'm not going to finish the game until I fully heal the Solar Tree.
I played Gran Turismo 4 the other day, and I'm trying to get all golds on all the liscenses. It was funny to see that the completion percentage of the game is 4.5 and I've had it since release day. >.<
GTA: SA is another game I've been playing, but I'm not concerned with the story missions, I'm just capturing gang territory.
Also playing Animal Crossing: WW, but nothing really happening there.

Looks like I'll be sticking to Halo and Medal of Honor for the forseeable future, then... >_> I just tried the mouse & keyboard again a little while ago, and I completely sucked. Despite repeated attempts, I just can't get used to that for some reason, I find the whole thing uncomfortable and tedious. If I stick with it for an extended period of time it can become semi-tolerable, but it's not particularly fun for me and I still do considerably better with a gamepad (especially with vehicles). Don't know why, I'm just weird that way for some reason. >_<
Having beat Twilight Princess, I've gone back to Ocarina Of Time and Majora's Mask because I never beat them as a kid. This time's going much smoother for both, however, and even though I hate the time system in MM, I'm going to at least try.
I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to Fire Emblem:POR and FF12.
I haven't played Boktai in a couple days because the weather has been s**t, but I did just get Phoenix Wright. ♥
i'm playing diddy kong racing on the '64.
probably my favorite racing game ever
and easily my favorite game for the 64
I completed that thar Beyond Good and Evil. Bloody good fun that game but a bit short. I didn't get all of the Pearls and find all of the animals to photograph but it was still quite short.
There must be a sequel, they can't end it there like that... Anyone who has played it know what I mean.
MK 64, on the ol' VC. Man this game is golden. I've forgotten how amazing it was.
i finally got my Nights into dreams for my saturn.
its AWESOME!!
every thing i wanted in it except its really short i'm just stuck on wizeman.
its a good first impression for the sega saturn for me, just can't wait for my panzer dragoon to come in
I bought a black DS lite and Animal Crossing: Wild World yesterday. n_n
I decided to try a free 30-day trial of Xbox Live Gold, partly because I'm considering the exercise in futility of attempting to get in on the Halo 3 beta thing with their "Rule of Three" program. So I've been messing around with the Halo 2 online play a bit. And I suck.
No, seriously. I freaking. suck.
It's pathetic. I figured I'd probably have a better time of things since I'd be a gamepad user playing against other gamepad users, but I'm doing far worse here than when I was using my gamepad in Halo PC online. Most of the time I seem to get destroyed before I know what happened, and even when I start shooting someone first, I still almost always lose. Blarg. Not to mention the fact that I'm completely unfamiliar with most of the maps and some of the random gameplay styles, which results in me running around aimlessly without a clue as to what I should be doing. Until I die. Again.
I'm not thrilled with the whole matchmaking set up either, after getting used to the way Halo PC's online play works. Unless I missed something, there doesn't seem to be any way to just play a specific game style (I usually prefer Slayer and CTF in Halo PC). Everything is fairly random, meaning I have to just hope I get lucky and it picks I game style I like. And then I die. Again. With the Halo PC it lets you sort the server list by game type if you want, and in addition, it's very easy to set up a game yourself with the options you prefer. I don't like Halo 2's "no choices for you" randomness.
I'm just kinda rambling here. But Halo 2's online multiplayer isn't turning out to be near as fun as I was expecting. I certainly wouldn't pay for an Xbox Live account for this. Since I have this trial I'll probably still try for the Halo 3 thing just for the heck of it, but otherwise I'm wishing I'd saved the trial for when Armored Core 4 was out. That's something I might have a chance of doing semi-well at.
So yeah. I may mess with Halo 2 online for a little bit longer, but after that I'm going back to Halo PC's online multiplayer.
I FINALLY BEAT FFIII! Wow... The Secret boss fight was uneventful... I had maxed out my character's levels and stats. All four had HP in the upper 9000's... The Boss couldn't even do any damage to me N_N... So I beat him and his 200000HP in ~10min, compared to the hour long slugfest that ended in me nearly throwing my DS at the wall last time ><.
So yeah. I recommend FFIII for any who enjoy the old school FFs. Onion Knights FTW.
So now it's time for me to go back to Elite Beat Agents... Maybe I'll try to beat that Cave of Ordeals on Twilight Princess... I've also got MK64 and Gunstar Heroes to play through. Oh, and Red Steel...
Resident Evil: Deadly Silence
Hotel Dusk Room 215. Unbelievably stylish and with a gripping storyline. I definitely recommend you people to try out this unbelievably amazing game.
I just got Super Princess Peach and Contact.
I've only played SPP so far, it's fun and cute, though as easy as others have told me, but I'm enjoying it.
I'll try out Contact later on today.
Give your opinions about the game, Robo, I've been considering buying Contact recently as well. 😀
Maximo vs Army of Zin.
Somewhat overlooked game, I feel.
Lots of Halo 2 online multiplayer in a feeble attempt to get in on the Halo 3 beta test thing. Although I still definitely prefer Halo PC for a number of reasons, this one is kind of growing on me actually. I'm getting a little better at it for one thing (which still ain't saying much), and I think part of my harshness towards it last time was because I was already in a foul mood before I started playing it.
So yeah, this is decent, but I'm still looking forward to finishing so I can go back the Halo PC.
Finally beat the CoO in Twilight Princess. Had about 6 hearts remaining =)... Dropping bombs on the Darknuts seems to be the best strategy. Damn, it felt good owning that last one. It's probably the high point of this freaking cold day (-8F, Feels Like -30F Here in St. Paul = )...
Well, this leaves me with 3 games to trade in. TP, FFIII, and Brain Training... Hopefully I can add Red Steel to that list soon. It's a decent game, don't get me wrong... It's just that there are far too many glitches to make it enjoyable. That and the controls are a little wonky.
Since I'm done with FFIII, I've been in a EBA mood. Still haven't been able to get more than one S rank...
Quote:

wait wait wait, now that you're finished with Twilight Princess, you're getting rid of it?
are you MAD, sir?!
*clings to copy of TP protectively*
= It's either hold onto a game that I've already beat and wait for months before I have $$$ for new games, or trade in something I probably won't play again and get something new... I rarely revisit games... although I have to admit, GameStop/ GameCrazy screw you over on the prices they pay you =
wow... O_O I'm completely the opposite, I replay games all the time. Probably won't be long before I play through TP a third time once I'm out of my Halo phase. And I've lost count how many times I've played MegaMan X4 and the various Armored Core games.
Other the other hand, I don't get new games all that often though, and probably could more often if I traded stuff in. But I'm too attached to my stuff.
I'm like Zero, i'm pretty attached. As a matter off act i've still got my collection[around 20] of PS2 games, even though i've been PS2less since July[pawned my PS2 in March, friend let me borrw his while he was away for some of summer] hoping to use them once again once I acquire a PS3 in 2010. =) But at the moment i've been playing Gradius, MK64, UMK3 and Madden '07. =)
smae here. I only trade in games when I need gas money or something...
As for games even though I'm PSP impared, I am super hyped for the Cstlevania Chronicles: Dracula X release. I has Symophony of The Night with added content AND the first American release of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, original and a new 2.5D remixed version. w0000t
So I'm playing lost of Dracula X:Chi no Rondo via, *ahem* back up.

Here you go.
I tried it out last night and this morning, it's quite fun, it's definately a good looking game, it can be rather difficult though, due to the battle system. This is still early though, no full impression yet, but I'm liking it so far.
Well i'm going to a friends for a Super Bowl party and he has MK:A for PS2 I believe, so this should be much fun.
Well, it's been years since its controversial release, and now, I'm finally getting around to playing it, after all the hype and hooplah.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
First impressions? Meh. It's more Grand Theft Auto. Nothing special yet. I'm not saying it's not fun, but it's not groundbreaking 'ZOMG' either. Mayb I'm just not GTAs terget audience. =D
Halo PC online. Running my own server for it, and it's working better than I expected, just finished a darn good game a little while ago with a fun group of people. 'tis Super Bowl time now, though.
Halo PC. What's your Halo name, ZeroSky? As if mine couldn't be more obvious...
I play under the name ZeroSky or Cetega. 'Cause I'm weird. Leaning towards Cetega as of late, though.
Taking a break from San Andreas, as the copy I'm borrowing is scratched to hell and back, and froze on me last night, after a few hours of not saving. Got peeved with it, and gave up. >>
Stuck on the final mission in Trauma Center: UtK. The vitalz! Zhey drop too fast!
Playing Final Fantasy X, and approaching the end I beleive (Aside from the obvious million and one side quests that are untouched yet.)
Just got past what I heard is one of the most irritating bosses in the main story line in two tries. Wondering if I'm overlevelled (Doesn't seem that way in normal fights), or if I just got REEAAAALLY lucky. oo
Also playing through Doom 3 after scoring a free copy.I love it, but dang, John Carmack sounds so up himself in the interviews. <<

ouch. I've been burned by that sort of thing too many times myself. I'm now overly paranoid about such things and tend to save after just about every little thing to the point of ridiculousness, especially in games like Zelda and Armored Core. Surprised I haven't worn out my memory cards yet, heh.
Marvel Nemesis: Ride Of The Imperfects.
It's... meh. The story is slightly boring.
i just got panzer dragoon for sega saturn.
one of the coolest games i've ever played.
i'm not really a fan of rail games so i wasn't sure if i would like it but i've gotten used to it.
i'm stuck on level 5's boss.
Just downloaded MK64 on the VC after months of looking for a Wii points card. They had exactly one for sale at Target, and I snatched it. Nostalgia ahoy!
