Got Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja and have died 3 times in the first dungeon and STILL can't get past the 3rd floor. Either I really suck at dungeon crawlers or this game is old school hard...

My "little break" from Zelda has lasted 4 weeks now... I have no intention of going back for a while.

On the DS I'm running through JFA again, skipping Case 3, because Case 3 sucks. Doing Case 4 now. Also, trying to master the art of S Ranking Hard Rock mode of EBA. Anthem, La La and September are the ones which I can 300 everything easily, I just need to get a perfect run.

PS2 is Ristar all the way. Saved it on the lava level. I don't remember what comes next in that game, so this is a learning experience.

Secret of the Rings will arrive in 8 days, and I have the flat to myself that weekend, so chances are I wont leave the bedroom.

Okami. My friend got it for me a week back and I already it, but I'm replaying it again. This time to search for secrets or other doodads this game holds that I missed out the first time.

Just beat The Legend Of Heroes III for PSP (For a cruddy game, I really liked how the story continued through each one) and will start Secret Rings tonight.

Well, I suppose there's more than one reason for it to be called Secret Rings now.

I play SL, and that's about it. Three days ago, I had the most money on me that I've ever had.

Still playing this Gears of War rental. It's rather bloody. And foul. Yet surprisingly fun. Probably going to buy it eventually when I get the chance.

...the chainsaw bayonet attack is disturbingly satisfying.

Within a few days time I'll finally have completed Shadow Hearts: From the New World (just gotta clear these last minute optional side quests and then The Gate) and I'll need to decide what next to dwelve into. Right now I've got:

FFXII
Zelda: TP (GC version, lulz)
Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria
Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne
Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner

on my plate. I started Silmeria but didn't get very far as I kept trying to farm materials for the first two shops (meaning story grinded to a halt). Thinking now I'll just play normally so I can enjoy the game proper even if I do miss out on some equips. Still, the other games have their intrigues, too... ooh, I don't know!

i just finished phantasy star IV. it was one of those heart grabbing endings; i almost wanted to cry.
i'm not sure what i'll play next. i have clockwork knight coming in soon so that should keep me busy for a while.
waiting for CN i'll just play nights into dreams a little and try to beat panzer dragoon. i'm stuck on the boss on the 5th level; i just can't beat it, and its starting to get frustrating.

My rental of Gears of War ran out today. In the time that I played it I found that, while it seems to be an experiment to see how many times they could fit the word "sh**" in a game, it's just way too much fun to pass up. :D So in a rare instance of feeling spendy and actually having enough money to support it, I went to GameStop today to pick up Gears of War and Need for Speed Most Wanted for the 360, along with a pre-order of Armored Core 4 for the 360. :cackle *happy freaking dance*

So looking forward to AC4 in March. But after I get that, this pretty much empties my gaming budget until Halo 3 comes out. Heh. :]

NFSMW I already own for the GameCube, but I've been eyeing the 360 version for quite a while, since based on the demo, I found that it was considerably shinier (for a launch title), has a considerably smoother frame rate, is playable with my favorite controller ever (not that I disliked the GC pad), and allows me to play my own music while racing. I hate the music that comes with the game, and racing in silence gets a little dull after a while on the GC version.

But the GC version was still plenty good enough that I didn't want to spend $50-60 on a game that I already have, just shinier and with a couple more features. However, last night I happened to stumble across the fact that it's now a Platinum Hits title, available new for $30. Yay. :D My patience apparently paid off.

So, yay for new games. I'm probably going to try out NFSMW for a little bit, but then I'll be going back to where I left off on Gears of War's campaign. Fun fun.

Just passed JJF on Crusin'... HOW THE F*CK DID I GET A B?!??! I missed 13! I barely passed at the end >>... Damn you Brits... All of you!!! Time for me to S Rank Sweatin's WALKIE TALKIE MAN m/... I really want to find some buddies and recreate that first episode... It would be flippin' awesome :D

Still playing through Secret Rings... The more abilities you unlock, the easier the controls are. It's a stupid idea in my book, because it makes people think the game sucks because it isn't responding. I've beaten the first boss and moved on to the second world... Somehow I got one of the secret rings before beating the first boss >> Oh well.

I also passed the first temple of WW. I love the graphics, but hate the characters... The cartoony look just doesn't do it for me.

Still on Okami. I have a gripe now. The vinesprout doesn't like working for me. Which is fine in the fields but not in the boss battles Spoilers (Select To Read): especially when revisit the spider boss and its faster and you have to get three of them on it, Yes I do have the slow time thing.

But I still love it.

Started Yakuza. I squealed when I heard Mark Hamil. OMG! its the Joker...

The winesprout IS frustrating the first few times. I usually make sure the paintbrush is glowing green from the pink buds, then make a line (not necessary straight) that connects to somewhere around Ammy's shield. Usually works for me.

Finished Gears of War's campaign on casual, so I'm now working on hardcore. Considering my incompetence, we'll see how far I get on that by myself. Heh.

But it's all fun stuff, for the most part. One of my only complaints is that the storyline wasn't explored in more detail, as it seems like there was certainly room for it. Looks like they left things nicely open for GoW2 though, so there's that to look forward to.

So I'm playing mostly GoW, although I'll be taking a few Need for Speed Most Wanted breaks now and then (particularly tomorrow when I'm at my brother's and have to play nice games that won't bother his fiancee :p ). Seems like NFSMW should be a nice way to get a few achievements as well, since everything that unlocks achievements is stuff I've already done on the GC version.

I didn't like the lack of the storyline in GoW, either. But all I know is that co-op is better than single-player, in difficulty and in fun.

And I'm still playing SL as always. I'm now a DJ's liason in SL, so I take music requests and send them to him. Sorta makes me feel like I'm doing something. I've got a nice collection of avatars...but I mostly wear my dragons.

Yeah, I've only played co-op once so far with someone from another board, but it's definitely a lot of fun. I'm finding out really quick that paying for this Xbox Live Gold account was more worth it that I realized it would be. :D

Anyway, I just beat the #3 racer on the blacklist in NFSMW, so now it's time to strip his car for parts and sell it all. :D I love doing that. :] And after that, I'm not totally decided. I'm considering trying to finish Act 1 of GoW on hardcore, then I'll probably go back to NFSMW for a while.

Boston (10:23 am): and wtf @ EBA
Boston (10:24 am): FIVE MISSES == A

Then, on the next run through...

Boston (10:27 am): AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!
Boston (10:27 am): WHAT THE F***???
Boston (10:28 am): I just got a B on the same mission...
Boston (10:28 am): With a higher score and less misses =

Rank B Score: 732810: 161 300's, 43 100's, 3 50's, and one X... Max Combo 152, and 11 EBs
All on September...

and of course, since this is the higher score, It overturns my Rank of A... = wtf?

I just tried playing Nights into Dreams with a regular controller instead of the 3d controller. I have a really small slim controller so I'm still having cramps from it, but it was actually kind of hard. I'm just glad they made a 3d controller for Nights

Mostly been playing Twilight Princess recently, but I'm not too sure what to do right now, also just got Streets of Rage and played that for the past hour, I love it but I need someone to play it with.

Also been looking into my fighting games lately, playing DOA4 and wanting to get out Rival Schools, Power Stone, Street Fighter Alpha 3.

Never did get to the GoW and NFSMW stuff I mentioned last time. Things keep coming up to keep me from having time, including starting a job on Wednesday, and spending too much time fixing the CD player component of my brother's stereo yesterday (when we were supposed to be playing GoW, grr). Finally have some game time now, though. :D

I've just been messing with the Armored Core 4 demo. I'm torn between thinking "HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME" and "HOLY CRAP I SUCK AT THIS". Some parts about it are great, but some things, most notably the odd control scheme, are a bit tricky. Hopefully I do better with the full version when it's released. >_>

Now that I've played that a bit, I'm probably going to try to finish GoW Act 1 on hardcore, which I never got to the other day. And then I don't know what, maybe NFSMW.

I got Lunar Kinghts a week ago, and it's pretty damn good. I think that the in-game weather works better than the solar cell on the cartridge, and it's definately less annoying than having to sit in the sun to play the game. The story so far is meh, and the new after-boss battles are okay.

What happens in them is you're suppposed to bring the casket of the boss into space to have it purified or some crap like that. You have to drag the ship around to avoid attacks, and you press the stylus on enemy ships to shoot at them. I find it pretty stupid that you can't move your ship and shoot at the same time, so you have to find a safe place to put it and then click to shoot. They're pretty annoying, but you only have to do it about 4 times in the game, so it's no big deal.

Otherwise it's pretty good, way better than the original Boktai.

Still playing through Secret Rings... I've got 3 of the world rings... yeah, don't know how I found them. What ever.

Just made it to the Tower of the Gods in Wind Waker. The game is okay, but isn't great. I have no idea what Pach is talking about this being soo much better than Twilight Princess. Sure, I <3 the cel shaded goodness, but for the love of the goddesses I am sick of sailing. Link also seems like a complete idiot than the legendary hero I've come to expect.

Also been playing some EBA. I made my first S rank on Sweatin'... "Makes No Difference". I actually lucked out, I was going to restart the run because I thought I was doing bad... Guess the game thought different. My next challenge is completing F!#!@$*& Canned Heat... damn ninjas.

haha alrighty, anything you want to know specifically? There's a good review of the Japanese version here, that explains a decent amount about a lot of the changes this time around, but keep in mind it warrants a pretty strong language warning:

*LANGUAGE WARNING AND STUFFS LIKE I ALREADY SAID*

www.insertcredit.com/reviews/ac4/

And some info specifically about the demo currently available for the 360 (including my complaints about the control scheme, although it doesn't seem to be a big problem for other people) can be found in this topic:

p207.ezboard.com/fagetecf...3348.topic

Let me know if there's anything else you want to know and I'll see if I know the details.

You have Rival Schools!!!? For the Dreamcast!? I loathe your collection of fighting games just because of that one game. Grrr... Anywho i've been playing Secret Rings and I love it. Man. 3 World Rings for me as well. Still only "Go For the Goal" @ Evil Foundry. Pirate Storm's "Don't Get Defeated" is insane. I love it. =)

Finished Hotel Dusk last night, so switching between a second playthrough, EBA and a second PW:AA-JFA play.

On the Wii I'm on the last level on Sonic, Yeto's Mansion in Zelda and not yet started Ocarina.

Re-ordered Portrait of Ruin, as it was cheap.

Then after I finish all those, I'm gonna rest until Phantom Hourglass, Smash Bros or Galaxy is out.

I bought super mario 64 ds. I only got to the second place. I had some issues with the controls which really started to annoy me. I don't see why people think this is a great game. I havn't played the origanal one, but I heard the ds version stayed pretty true to the origanal, except the controls which is a given. It was just plain boring, and really frustrating. I thought it was going to be good. Lately I've been on a good video game slump. I havn't played a good game since i bought Panzer Dragoon which was about 2 months ago.

I completed Okami. It was made of awesome and win.

I think I'm living in Bizarro land at the moment. Its quite easy for me to pick up Phoenix Wright, Trauma Centre and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (So I did) but to find Wario Ware Touched! is impossible.

Heck, I can get a Saturn and a Mem Cart for 22.

So yeah to any UKians is it hard to find a moderately successful launch DS title where you live?

Also on Castlevania - s'alright. Not hooked yet.

Right now I'm playing Secret Rings on my fairly new Wii, have had it for one week now! Anyway, I haven't really gotten into it yet, unlocked Sand Oasis, yes the first level, buy haven't played it. So far, I don't really like it as it's fairly difficult steering, jumping, etc., but I'm hoping I like it better after I really get into it.

A friend of mine has lent me his Wii for a few weeks, with Twilight Princess, Secret Rings, and the obvious Wii Sports/Play. Mostly been playing Secret Rings. The controls take some getting used to, and dodging between two damm cacti is a pain with the tilt, but it's pretty good so far. Not amazing, but good.

But let's get down to the real point of this post. The icing on the cake. The string in the guitar. The lace in the shoe. The knot in the whip.

Phoenix. Fraggin. Wright.

That's right, countless years after it's success around the world, we, the wonderful country of Australia, have gotten a local release. Let it be known, here and now, that whomever withheld this game from me for so long, is going to die a slow and painful death.

I

<3

Phoenix Wright

The humour, the music, the presentation. Every single thing is flawless. I love the characters I'm supposed to love, and I love to hate the characters I'm supposed to hate. So far, this game has proven to be the BEST game I have played in a long long long long gaming career. And that's no exaggeration.
