Bought Shadow of the Colossus the other day and yeah, this game is truly awesome. It is such a beautiful game. The Colossi are hard at times to figure out but once you take them down you really feel rewarded. Awesome game, I just beat the 8th one.
I'm thinking of getting Ico after, I haven't got to play that one yet either, but decided on getting SotC first since it appealed to me more.
Haha, great for you! Ico is much much less action oriented than SotC, and the puzzles are sorta easy, but the whole environment of the castle is breathtaking, especially considering the game came out about 8 years ago. My only complaint with it is the fact that Sony rushed for it to be out in the US, so it lacks alot of things that the PAL version has =/
I picked up NHL 2005 from my brother's apartment, so I'll probably start a franchise in that. I got all the easy time attack items in SotC, so I think I'll start my hard file now.
Yeah, I love this game. I just beat it late tonight. The ending was really really awesome/sad. Also it leads me to believe that this game and Ico are connected which I did not know before. So now I have to get that game.
Begun Aria of Sorrow. All the awesome of Dawn of Sorrow with the gothic art instead of the anime.
No drawback. I may fall in love with this game.
Okay, I've played through The World Ends With You for many hours now... I'm on Day 4 and I must say it is extremely awesome. Took a while to get used to the battle system, but I'm gettting the hang of it. I still have the top screen set at AUTO, so I don't have to control the chick.
Hmm...I think about a month ago I was playing Oblivion... 'tis a good game.
I am going to get The World Ends With You tomorrow, not matter what. In the meantime I decided to pick up and play my copy of Armored Core 2. I bought it in december and never really touched it since then. It's an alright game, but the control scheme is utter crap. How can this game not use the analog sticks?!?!
Now that a mate of mine has gotten into Pokemon, I've been raising a team designed purely to beat the crap out of the incredibly broken Garchomp, a favourite of his. Currently planning on Skarmory and Weavile. One to wall it, the other to outrun and OHKO it. After getting rid of Garchomp, he becomes putty in my hands. Go-go Froslass.
Just completed MGS2 and 3.
3 had such a sad ending it almost brought me to tears. =( I need a PS3 for MGS4 but PS3 pricing is DDDDDD:
Playing through Apollo Justice again. Up to case 3.
I ended up picking up The World Ends With You and it's pretty good so far. It's pretty tough, for me at least, to keep track of what is going on in both screens, I usually end up forgetting about one of the battles and I get wrecked on that side. Otherwise it's been pretty good, except for the music ~.~
Still chugging away through Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. I really disliked Part 3 due to its pretty tedious nature and utterly boring storyline, but since Part 3 Endgame and Part 4 began it's taken a turn towards the absolute awesome.
The storyline finally feels epic and controlling 3 different armies is pretty fun. It's a shame that the Dawn Brigade/Greil Mercenaries level and class differences ends up meaning you'll pretty much never use the DB, though. =( Although Edward w/Paragon = massive win.
And I love my Pegasi trio! <3 Sigrun, Tanith and Marcia! They're unstoppable!
Playing a little GTA3 before 4 comes out. Just something random to play in the meantime.
What'cha playin'?
At the moment...not much. Got a paper due Tuesday. Starting on it this weekend. But anyone see IGN's review of GTAIV? A 10..they gave it a ten. Seriously...come on now.
Playing SotC again. Just random playthrough.
Just beat Metroid Prime 3 last night; what an awesome game it was. I'm kinda sad though that was the last of the Prime series as I had fun with all of them. Next, I'm about ready to play Metroid II, yes the one for the original Gameboy, on my Gameboy Player, about the only reason that I keep my GameCube. I found the game at my local Gamestop.
After I beat Metroid II, which hopefully will be tonight, I'm gonna play Blue Dragon on my 360, the first game I've played on it in awhile, and I'm looking forward to it. Well, I'm off to play Metroid II!
Have fun.
Currently playing Grand Theft Auto 4.
Just now beat Metroid II after a long, hard fought battle with the Metroid Queen. I'll play Blue Dragon, three days later than plan, tonight.
GTAIV, No More Heroes and alittle of Tales of Symphonia for the heck of it.
Well i've decided i'm going to complete Super Star Soldier, Gradius, R-Type and Blazing Lazers before Fall semester[AKA during summer vacation], so i'll definitely be playing that alot. But recently, i've been playing Galaga[owing my roommate and a friend in that], Mario Kart 64[ditto], and Brawl[ditto]. I can say it's weird living with a guy that gets as frustrated as he does. 😛
Just got the last character in Mario Kart DS. I have to say, Dry Bones is my favorite character to play as, especially in his little tank. He just rules.
Yea I remember Dry Bones. Wish I still had my DS. =/ Anywho...probably be trying to find some friend online matches in Brawl this weekend. Checked last night and like...no one was on.
Well I haven't played The World Ends with You in a while, and I also haven't played Phantom Hourglass either. I did end up buying a Gamecube last Sunday, since it was only about 30 dollars used. So far I've played Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, and Soul Calibur II. I have to say that I really like Super Mario Sunshine, my only gripe is the FLUDD, even though they've thought of some pretty inventive ways to use it. Luigi's Mansion is all right, I got pretty far in it and then just stopped playing. Gah, there are so many games to play, and it seems like I never finish any of them with out dipping into some other game in between =/ (and my home internet is broken =( )
mostly just leveling up in TWEWY. Haven't had much time for games lately. Once the weekend hits though...
Team Fortress 2 will be played... Mario Kart will be opened... Brawl will be unneglected... and maybe I'll start on this Golden Sun cart I got
START PLAYING IT IMMEDIATELY YOU KNAVE
RAH
As for myself I just completed Final Fantasy XII last night. Long game was looooong to the point where I just said to myself 'screw all the sidequests' and I finally finished the game. The last few bosses were pretty dang hard most likely because I was underleveled, but it helped make for a tense and exciting finale.
Now I'm left with needing to find a game to play for a month but I haven't a clue what to try. Hmmmmmm...
Just finished playing some Mario Kart Wii... definitely like the online better than the single... damned rubberband AI... and wow, Ninty actually made a decent online mode... why couldn't they have done this for Brawl though?!?
Also played Okami for the first time. Seems decent so far. Very beautiful... took me 7 minutes to do the first slash attack on the damned boulder though >=|
I'm up to lvl 90 in TWEWY... should be resuming regular game play soon XD
and still playing TF2
Just beat Justice for All. Now I've played every AA game. =o
In the maddening wait until MGS4, I'm currently playing through No More Heroes for the first time.
Good lord is this an asskicking game. The style just ooooooozes out <3
Yays! Good for you Pach. I'm actually playing NMH as well. Bitter mode...is indeed...bitter. >_>
No More Heroes? More like no more blood, am I right?
Anyways, I've played through a little bit more of Okami. Such a lovely game m/
Oh, and I hit Level 1/* in TWEWY, aka 100, so now I shall resume regular game play Moved on from week 2 Day 4 to Day 6 already
Oh yea...Pach is across the pond, heh. Still a sweet game. Just w/o the Kill Bill effect.
I WAS happily playing GTA4, as it is fantastic, and I'm actually getting through the story this time (near the end I believe.) However, today my 360 gave up the ghost and embraced the Red Ring of Death...after a year and a half, it had a good run...already called MS so hopefully will get it sorted.
For now I'll have to try playing Persona 3...I've barely started that game...plus I have God Hand and Hulk: Ultimate Destruction...
Aww i'm sorry Robo. Hope you get it sorted out. As for me...been finishing up NMH on Bitter. On the last fight actually. Effing amazing! Also been brawling online some.
Currently playing Kingdom Hearts II. Pretty awesome game.
I'm playing Blue Dragon now. Despite, several posts stating I was going to start that night, I didn't actually start playing until Mother's Day night. Right now, I'm still on the 1st disc at the return to Talta Villiage and am enjoying the game quite well, but it's fairly easy for now as I haven't died once.
Gears of War: Great action game with the most shades of grey and brown ever. EVER.
Dead or Alive 4: Trying to get all the costumes to unlock Tengu. UGH. I swear the series gets worse with every incarnation. I think I have finally realised why though. The game is too fast for throws to register properly.
Several times as various characters, I have found myself in an advantageous position (Opponent missed kick, throw, reversal etc.) I go into throw and I manage to do the animation of a throw attempt while the character's arms actually passes through the opponent. The problem is made excruciating by the time you get to Alpha-158.
And the ninja characters are broken as $!$#. As $!$#. They have such an obvious advantage over the normal characters. And I'm pretty sure that people who are more experienced in competitive play could even tell you more.
And rather than fixing these flaws Itagaki will rather proclaim his games as perfect and deride others. Christ I remember an interview where they asked him if they were going to improve the system in DOA 3 and he literally said that. While then slagging off Tekken.
Le Sigh. And yet I still kinda enjoy the game.
I tried the Penny Arcade game. Won't be getting it. It wasn't that funny and the strange turn based RPG battling system wasn't great.
I've been playing Lost Odyssey for a while now. Starts out very slow, but really starts kicking into gear in a few hours. I've been looking for a good turn based rpg for a long time, and I think I've found it.
Boom Boom Rocket and Lost Planet.
Boom Boom Rocket is awesome and you should all play it.
360 is back, so back to GTA4!
Banjo Kazooie, to prep for N&B
Fatal Fury. Super pumped for FF2 on the VC. Can't wait for it to get here.
Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones
The World Ends With You
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (rental, got as far as the return to USS Valhalla)
Resident Evil 4
So many games, so little time in the day to play 'em.
Apollo Justice - I tried to hold myself back... Apollo got a local release before T&T did, so I brought Apollo, promising myself I would wait until I had imported a copy of T&T and played through that before I played Apollo. Oh what a weak fool I was. Finished case 2. Haven't started case 3 yet. Loving all the characters so far. Torn on who is cuter; Pearly or Trucy-Doll.
Phantasy Star Online - My first time back to my baby in a long time. Recently got a Wii, and I decided the first game to grace it would be PSO. Put it in, played as Lilly, walked into Ultimate Ruins and BANG! The Spread Needle I had spent the better part of last year looking for dropped off the first Merlan. No percentages, but who cares. Cheese Needle is cheesy.
Mario Kart Wii -Oh yes, I has a Wii now. I has Wii Sports, Wii Play and Mario Kart. Wii Sports and Play are both still shrink-wrapped. Mario Kart is quite nice. Almost finished 50cc. Gamecube control for the win.
Pokemon Battle Revolution - Don't actually own PBR, but am borrowing it from my place of work. Working my way through the various colloseums now. I want my Surfing Pikachu dang-nabit.
huh... I thought I posted recently.
Regardless, I'm still playing through TWEWY... Currently have an ESP'er Rank of Fallen Angel with 3173pts, Noise Report at 93.7%, Pin Mastery at 63.4%, and Item Collection at 90.0%. I also have the all the secret reports for Shiki and Joshua
BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
<3
This'll keep me sane enough to ignore the games of which I dream of purchasing ~<3
I have completed GTA4, though only one of the endings, so there's still stuff to do, though I can take a break and try some other things for a while.
Man...Okami, Oblivion, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Bioshock, Mario Galaxy, GTA4...I've completed more games in this last year than II have in any previous year....this is unprecedented, I still have Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass, Persona 3, and God Hand to play through too...
Wow goodjob, Robo. I still need to complete my space shooters. >_< But currently...Brawl and Fatal Fury.
Playing through Call of Duty 4 and GTA4.
2 days remain, though.
2 REALLY REALLY FRIGGING LONG DAYS AGH
Super Street Fighter II. Yays! Loving it. getting owned majorly though...I haven't played SF is forever. And the freaking AI is like...crazy or something. Do wish they had Super Combos though.
Sega Superstars Tennis. Its awesome, but is it wrong that I find NiGHTS's voice attractive?
I mean, after a NiGHTS Vs Ulala game, I have to take a cold shower.
Only need to unlock Gum and Alex Kidd now
Wow...freak! XD
