I finished Batman: Arkham Asylum, except for a few trophies (achievements) and the challenges.

The Awesome:

Graphically, this game gets it all right. Most characters look great, even if you do not like the game's costume redesign. The feel of the game is perfect, too. It actually feels like a Batman game. The fact that it is most (if not all) of the same voice actors from the DCAU reprising their roles is pretty damned sweet, too. If you watched Superman: The Animated Series, Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Static Shock, or Batman Beyond, you should not need to spend any time getting used to the voices. Kevin Conroy has always had the ultimate Batman/Bruce Wayne voice to me, since he has always been able to make the voices different, but have both still sound natural. Mark Hamill was the Joker, and like Conroy, has the perfect Joker voice.

The game has decent stealth, which you spent a good chuck of your time doing, but it was not an exacting, difficult stealth. If you stuck to the shadows and stayed out of sight, and did not spend all of your time running, you basically were stealthed. It also has an excellent free-flow combat system, maybe a bit over-powered, but it is Batman. And it has situations where you need to use both Predator (stealth) and Free-flow methods.

Teh Suck:

The boss fights were pretty mediocre across the board. It was often harder to take out a room full of thugs than any of the main bosses. Bane, for example, fights the exact same way as the Titan thugs, which you will likely have mastered long before you fight Bane. Poison Ivy? You just keep dodging her vines while throwing batarangs, old-school arcade type battle. Zsasz? He goes down with-out so much as a whimper both times you fight him. I never even saw what kind of attacks he could do.

The only boss that was worth anything was the Scarecrow, and that is because you never actually fight him face to face. Even most of his boss fights were pretty bad, but at least they were different.

The Score:

All in all, it is a good game, and I would recommend it to anybody who likes either Batman or stealth-based games (I would love to see some PS3 Tenchu, I know there is a couple 360 ones, but they were not all that great).

Over all, I give it an 8.5/10. It could have been a solid 9, if not for the sucky boss fights.

Dissidia- over half of the characters in story mode complete, slowly beating them all when I get time to.

Left4Dead- bought this bundle of joy a few days back and loving every second of it. Beat the first 3 campaigns and on the Blood Harvest one now. After that will go back through each and play on a high difficulty.

SCRIBBLENAUTS.

I haven't even started the first level; I'm currently at the title screen AKA Free Play Mode where I'm just writing down whatever and seeing if I can stump the game. So far, no dice. I got zombies, vampires, volcanos, tsunamis, royal figures, lawyers, artists, apples, turkeys, trampolines, hobo - this game is insane!

@ Neo Remington. Same here. I spent like 30min playing the title screen. Pretty awesome, although moving Maxwell is painful to say the least.

I've also been slowly working my way through Batman. No complaints so far . Very awesome.

I beat Professor Layton 2 over the weekend. Another awesome game . Loved the ending and its twists =D. We need #3 and the movie localized NOW.

Just to add, I just made God fight vampires. GOD FIGHTING VAMPIRES. THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER.

But yes, Maxwell is hard to control. Sometimes I end up doing something I don't wanna do because of it.

Professor Layton is awesome. There's even another set of trilogy coming. It's too early over here in America for me to declare whether I think that's "too much" though.

Final Fantasy 7. Which I've beat three times over but what the hey? Also engaging in one hell of a power grinding (Still don't understand why this swamp place is in the Northern Cave but it is an awesome place to grind) so I can beat Ruby without the uber Materia (Not doing the Chocobo quest) although I did obtain the Quad Magic Materia via a bug, lol.

EDIT: Stupid tentacles sapping MP and preventing me from using Life 2 upon death.

Agh! I hate when that happens. lol I have been getting the urge to play through FF7 as well. Also 8 and 9, so i might attempt to do that again sometime in the close future.

Yea! It is really annoying. I beat him by just farming for Power/Luck/Speed/Defense Sources in Gelnika and tossed Dazers at him any time he moved again. Still took a while.

I want to play through 8 again though. Played through 9 recently and made me realize how much I love that game.

Shenmue. Almost done with it. I hate that I took a two year break and pciked it back up. I'll need a solid playthrough once I finish this one. Then again...tha would jus be torture...so I might not even finish this one. 😛 Nah...I will. But i'm really REALLY wanting to play Gran Turismo 5 Prologue...just to hold me over for til official GT5 comes out. Anyone have GT5P? I hear it's like essential for a GT fan. Should I? *bites nails and sweats abundantly in anticipation*

Update time, I guess.

Still playing Black Sigil. I've come to grips with the battle system and the random battle crashes hasn't happened again since Abraxus Tower (that sucked... a 10 floor dungeon loaded with treasure, random battles every 4-5 steps, lots of dead ends and no save points until the end... and the game freezes as I hit Floor #9). So far my favorite team is Kairu because he has great physical attacks, and Nephi/Aurora thanks to their combo spell that drains HP and SP from a group of enemies for big damage and recovery... essentially making the spell a freebie. Game-breaking stuff right here, folks.

Anyway, !*@% hit the fan (FF6-style "!*@% hitting the fan", you dig?), party separates, party reassembles again plus 2, cleared some optional quests... and now I just need to visit a few more dungeons and it's over.

I got Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii the week it came out but I've only gone as far as the beginning of Phendrana Drifts in MP1. Love that music. Just... don't have much time for Wii right now... though I did play Contra: Rebirth. Short on levels but packed with awesome.

Let's see... still slogging through Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria. Making progress, I guess: I'm starting Chapter 4. Damn, why does this game demand such a huge time commitment just to make it through one dungeon!? Every couple of battles I have to go into the menu and readjust every active party member's equipment in order to maximize their skill-learning... takes me 10-15 minutes each time to find something suitable for everyone. Never mind the enemy AI can be quite cheap if you're not constantly allocating AP to new skills so that you can survive their ambushes... I don't recall VP1 having this much micro-managing. Hmm... could be wrong on that, though.

ODST: So, all of the new characters are unlikeable, Especially Woman with bigger balls than you and Man who is very horny for the women with bigger balls than you, except The Rookie.

But Single player is all right. Its better than Halo 1 and 2. Not sure about Halo 3 though.

Firefight it bloody hard.

My PS3 died last weekend, so I have been playing Scribblenauts a bit more (which is fun, but the fun wears out relatively quickly once you have all the levels beaten, lets be honest).

I finally picked up Fable 2, which is a game I have been wanting since before it came out. The biggest delay in getting it was, every time I went in to pick it up, I found another game that I wanted more. The game is a blast, though. I do not think I am a huge amount through it, about to enter the shard. I will probably try to marathon it for a bit my next day off.

Been playing mostly Arkham Asylum and Mario & Luigi 3 lately. Of course, both are pretty awesome . In Batman, it is just too damn fun capturing the guards and hanging them upside down on the statues.

I did buy a copy of Overlord for the 360, which I'll finish once I'm done with Batman... I also grabbed the Brutal Legend demo on XBL... It has now replaced Assassin's Creed 2 as the 360 game I need this holiday season

WAS playing Link's Awakening on my Super Gameboy (Best Zelda game ever) but it seems it was a bad cartridge because it won't keep a save for long (Even after doing the dusting off trick) so I guess I have to take it back, darnit. I miss that game so much.

Tried out the Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo on PS3 and it was kind of fun, though I thought the game was a lot more gory than that? It seemed kind of tame...not that I'm complaining though! It also lacked the NG insane difficulty too, pity.

No doubt the battery was dead or dying. With the appropriate tool you can open up the case and place a new battery inside.

The battery is a standard CR2025/ CR2032 watch battery. You'll need a pair of pliers to gently rip the old battery off, as it is wielded to a metal conduction strip. I just fixed a Pokemon Red today using this method 8O.

Haha thank you for the tips but I returned the game...already, alas. I'll probably just buy it for cheaper and hope I have better luck this time.

This Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 demo for the PS3 is pretty fun, the camera is kind of annoying though. I would love the game but I'll wait for it to come down in price. That way I can also prepare for when I set my controller down in anger after dying for the millionth time. Or toss it in a basket of laundry to lessen the damage.

Sooo many good games coming out, need more money.

They say NGS2 is supposed to be quite easier than the original version, so that might lighten the chances of you breaking your controller, although it mostlikely still won't be a cakewalk.

Just finished playing through Arkham Asylum . The game was pretty awesome, I have no real complaints about it. Some of the bosses were repetitive, but it truly didn't take anything away from the game for me. The dialog was extremely well written, and I loved the fact that they had voice actors from the animated series voice the ingame characters . I enjoyed hunting around for all of the Riddler's puzzles, and the interview tapes that they unlocked.

The game was well worth the $30 I spent on it =D

C+Ped from another site:

Just completed Gauntlet: Marvel Edition, just because my friend lent it to me. It feels overly complicated for a game where essentially to tap the A button to win. Multiple costumes with different abilities and yet it is so tedious to get them all.

Plus when you just find a team (For me: Wolverine, Deadpool, Spiderman and another normally Electra, Thor or Storm)you will stick with them. I mean I haven't even touched the Fantastic 4.

And the Galactus fight is the largest pile of [censored] ever.

That Dr Doom is an evil man though.

Also Halo ODST. Starting to get into Firefight a bit.

Batman: Arkahm Asylum and Secret of Monkey Island.

I've already completed Batman on normal and may attempt Hard, though will see. Currently just doing challenges and trying to get that last Riddler riddle, which is the final three teeth in Arkahm Mansion...no idea where they are, but they're eluding me well.

Been playing Left4Dead every once and awhile and also Nazi Zombie mode in Call of Duty WaW, which I just beat the campaign the other day. Which was really good. Just playing these until either Dragon Age or GTA Episodes of LC come out. Also still playing Dissidia when I am bored and away from my consoles.

Well since I found a complete copy of Lunar 2 for dirt cheap, you can guess what I'll be playing now.

Also played a bit more of KH2. Just trying to level up so I can do the Paradox Hades Cup since that's the last thing I can do. I still have yet to replay through this game, which probably says how much I think of it.

EDIT: It really is easier? Huh, I guess I'm happy but then again, maybe not.

Completed a good run on Fable 2 and will probably do an evil run on it. I still have 2 endings to get, and a handful of achievements should I decide I want them all.

Thursday, I bought a copy of Fable: Lost Chapters. I tried to install it, only to find that the product code was 'invalid'. So, I tried going through their help site, but you need a pid number to get any help. To get the pid number for the game, you have to start the game. Kind of hard to do when the game will not install...

One of the main reasons I don't do a lot of gaming on my computer. There seems to always be a problem that is not worth the time to stress out with.

For gaming; I'm just kind of fooling around with various games for my Dreamcast. Phantasy Star Online taking up most of the time. I only have one more quest left to finish and then there won't be much of a reason to keep playing.

While I don't love Lunar 2 as much as I loved the first Lunar, the game is very good. I do have one pet peeve though...dungeon crawling hell! So many of the dungeons are swarming with foes and dodging them isn't as easy as it should be. I guess since the game doesn't punish you for over-leveling, they can throw more foes at you.

Monkey Island over, though may have a second run through in classic mode.

Also playing my second game of Mass Effect in preparation for the sequel.

And I'll likely start A Vampyre Story or finishe my Dragon Quest IV game.

Finished almost all of Muramasa recently (with the exception of Kisuke's third ending, which I'll finish up on doing when I'm bored). It's definitely a worthy successor to Odin Sphere gameplay wise.

Currently on a Disgaea 2 binge (on Ep. 10 right now), interrupted by sessions of Prinny: CIRBTH.

Bought Persona PSP, but I haven't even touched it yet thanks to the above.

Sonic Unleashed for some unfathomable reason. Im still sticking with the whole "The whole game is flawed but is a general step forward for the Sonic series because it isn't as bad as Sonic The Hedgehog 2006. And while the Werehog looks terrible and should never have existed, it is a solid God of War clone and could easily be modified into an acceptable Ristar 3D game." argument.

Picked up the South Park tower defense game over the weekend... boring =(... there are honestly better free ones out there.

I also picked up Brutal Legend... honestly isn't as good as I thought it was going to be. The story and acting are perfect, but the gameplay itself leaves something to be desired. The combat gets old pretty quick, and the whole RTS thing just doesn't seem to work. I'll obviously be playing it all the way through.

Didn't play it but seeing a friend play the MAG beta, game looks kinda fun.

Kinda...I really don't like shooters. I'd rather watch someone play them.

What is fun is trying to bust out huge manual combos on Tony Hawk Underground.

My PS3 came back yesterday from being repaired. I went to put my larger hdd back into it and was told I would have to re-format the hdd. It turns out that Sony uses a console-specific format system that does not allow you to take your drive from one PS3 and put it in another PS3.

Why? Mostly because they felt like it, it seems. Swappable drives have been standard in computers, 360's, even the original X-Box hdd could be swapped if you were willing to dig in. I cannot even call Sony's method a step back, since it has, to the best of my knowledge, never been used before.

There is a reason for that, Sony! Because it is ****ing stupid!

Have you played KoF 12 yet? I found it to be a little underwhelming, not too bad though.
I've wanted Sakura Wars for about a year now and I finally bought it! Came in a few days ago, so far its been a little frustrating handling it with a translation from the internet. Really glad I bought it though, I didn't expect the humor that came with it and combat is fun.

Finally beat Silver Star Story with Trish tonight. I'd review or give opinions, but I have to let my rage subside. The game stole two hours of my life with it's bullcrap douchebaggery and I am not happy at all.

PS: Games should not be able to cutscene kill you after the ludicriously difficult 45 minute final boss battle. There should be a law against it.
