Lol I guess Mike Tyson won't be in it. It'd be cool if it was.
Awesome trailer!
I need audio, but that looked pretty sweet. Doc Louis...looks just like himself though. xD! That's classic.
Can't wait to get back in the ring.
"Hands like a fly, bite like a mosquito." Really? Hahaha! Man...I would like to get this. Or try it atleast. That trailer is hilarous! And the music is nice. Thanks D.B.
Can't wait to try the game. Not sure if I'm gonna buy it day 1, but will definitely give it a go.
Secret 14th mystery character SPOILER'D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9ecgV4tPsY HELL TO THE YEAH.
AAAAAAAAAAAWESOME
AAAAAAAAAAAWESOME
XDXD! For real though...that is fuggin' sweet. Wow!
Of course people have already gotten culturally/racially sensitive about this game.
Bald Bull yells "Allah Ackbar" which is "God is Great" in Arabic. Before he throws a strong punch at you. This is apparently a phrase used by the terrorists right before they blow something up or chop off somebodies head. But I thought the character was from Istanbul Turkey.... but my geography sucks.
Well anyway I hear that people are offended and/or think the character is a Muslim Terrorist now. Its kind of like Mohammad turban bomb drawing. I personally don't think its that bad of an offense though. I mean the game has everybody speaking in their native tongue, the character doesn't have dynamite strapped to his chest so why is saying "God is Great" so terrible?
Is that so? I hadn't heard this. But man...this is dumb. Like really...the game's actually diverse[both in character movesets and nationalities]. *applauds* Look where diversity gets us...once again. *hangs head* America...

o.o More people call out "Allah ackbar" during prayer or other Islamic religious events than people do before they "blow stuff up." It's just that some terrorists have also adopted to shouting this out before an attack. And those that think the character is a "Muslim terrorist" might have other underlying issues (be it mental illness/racism etc).

Saying "Allah Ho Ackbar"/"God Is Great" isn't terrible, it's awesome. To any possible haters out there, SUCK IT!

Look where diversity gets us...once again. *hangs head* America...
Yeah, true that!
ITS A TRAP
But I thought the character was from Istanbul Turkey....
That sounds like a song cue.
the character doesn't have dynamite strapped to his chest
If King Hippo can strap on a manhole cover to protect his navel, the W.V.B.A. will allow just about anything!
To be honest I'm going to wait for this game's price to drop. It looks way too short and easy for that price tag.
This game's far from easy. I played it at a friend's house and we spent like an hour just trying to beat one guy. I believe it was Don Flamenco, who is a push-over in the NES game, but is one of the later people you fight here. King Tiger wasn't a push-over either.
And that was just the mode that allows you to endlessly rematch a fighter. I can't imagine trying to beat the game in the mode that actually punishes you for losing.
Also, it's a Nintendo title. Chances are it will be taken off the shelves before the price drops.
are there difficulty settings?
I don't think so.
It's a gradual difficulty. Starts off nice and easy, and then it ramps up as you put your opponents down.
In this game, you can actually lose to Glass Joe. Badly.
I'm wondering how Soda Popinski manages to crush a bottle against his forehead.
But I thought the character was from Istanbul Turkey.... but my geography sucks.

Note the amount of Muslims. Muslims get around a lot these days.
Those who associate anything in Arabic or a Mid-Eastern character with terrorism disturb me - but as someone who was given as travel advice by a friend in the US military before last Christmas "If you see any Muslims, run" (I pointed out that Muslims were almost the majority in that neighbourhood, they gave me chocolate at Eid and sent me Christmas cards - she modified it to "If you see any pissed off Muslims, run" and I gave up), I wish I was shocked..
Yeah, we're practically persecuting them now, Sam. X_x
EDIT: I just got htis game and I just beat Great Tiger.
I'm currently practicing Don Flamenco.
This is a pretty good game. I don't know how to explain it; it's just... excellent. I look forward to all the interesting characters you fight.
Roommate finally picked this up. Starting on the World Circuit now...good gosh...so great. Ninty was wise to bring this back, most def. As for Don Flamenco...hate that guy. Whooped me in a Gamestop my first time playing it a few weeks back. Was embarrassing. >>
Now I'm in Title Defense Mode...
Training for the King of Hippos, King Hippo.
