Donkey Kong Country 2!
Its still one of my favorites. I recently hooked up the old snes and played it. I got 102% without cheating. I remember being stuck on Kudgels for 2 years, and when I finally beat him I cut straight through the game. I have great memories of playing it. I also found a great pic on it. I'd like to know everyones thoughts on this game.
I must say, I haven't played it in years. I do remember the catchy music from one of the lava levels. Lava Lagoon or something like that. I'm not so sure.
Maybe I should look for the GBA releases?
Who remembers? Who could forget, man. I'm listening to the killer soundtrack right now as I type this. DKC2 was gaming bliss. I like how it had it's own theme - the pirate theme. It was a pretty gloomy game. DKC3 had more of a sci-fi theme to it. I remember having some 2-player runs with my friend a few times. Though I did beat the game, I haven't gotten around to getting it 102 percent. The Lost World still holds it's mysteries....
It also had a pretty funny instruction manual. Cranky popping up here and there, leaving comments like on the item page where he says "I've never seen so much worthless rubbish! I'm surprised they don't give you a special 'trash barrel' to haul it all around in!"
But the one that comes to mind first is on the "Memo" page in the back. It may have been the DKC1 manual, though. But anyway, he said something like "Does anyone ever actually use these memo pages? Waste of paper if you ask me." It's funny because it's true!
Out of trilogy, DKC2 reminds my all time favorite with the most funniest level and gameplay, plus the best soundtrack ever out of the three. It's just so dang beautiful.
Eeeeh, I never cared for it.
SEE HOW I CAME IN AND RAINED ON THE PARADE WITH MY UNWANTED OPINION?
You're just upset because no one's commented on your MoH topic.
How can some one not love Donkey Kong Country 2
I KNOW! It's up there with Yoshi's Island as greatest side-scrolling platformer ever.
So what's Rare up to nowadays?
...
*tsk tsk* To shreds you say...
And here I thought I was the only one who thought Yoshi's Island was the best 2D platformer I've ever played. Seriously, that gamed ruled, too.
The last thing I remember Rare doing is Kameo,I havent played it yet but i heard its ok.For the future there doing banjo kazooie 3
Rare hasn't been doing well since M$ took over ownership. Go figure. And I loved DKC2 btw.
